70 Visited February 2016 with beery friends. Another lovely pitstop. Spacy, modern style student pub. Lots of seatings and friendly service. Beers served in good condition. |
68 A basic but nice functional pub, probably a student haunt in the evening as there are a lot of De Montfort University buildings and serviced student accommodation at this end of town. It has a quarry tile floor and furniture which would be shabby chic in a different setting. A single, metal-framed window overlooks what I think is a castle gatehouse. There was a nice beer range, with six hand pumps and six kegs.

68 Quick pit stop on the way back to the station from the West End Brewery. Excellent selection of beers (I had Market Harborough Green Hop which was in top form). Friendly service, but still feels a bit like a work in progress, particularly as they were in the process of painting the toilets |
70 Glen has just about nailed this. Feels cold, empty, unfinished. Quite small, with totally random bric a brac furniture. People were in there, but it was pretty silent. Needs music or summat. Good location and good cask beer actually. Had a great pint of Fyne Jarl in excellent condition. Good value too. You should pop in. |
58 This has the feeling of a shop front, tiled and cold. I realise that it wants to have the feeling of a Micro Pub but it seems more like a school refrectory. Just feels done on the cheap, particularly with the loo’s. We wanted to like it, but it just didn’t feel right. |
