Centrally located in a building dismatching the old town. Boring selection with the local beers mostly. For some reason I didn't like it too much...

Hippes Café/Bistro mit überraschend guter Bierauswahl. 8 Craft Taps + viele lokale, nationale und internationale Flaschenbiere. Es gibt nen fünfer Flight für 218 Kronen. Schnäppchen in Norwegen... Preise eben wie überall sehr hoch. Top Biere, lohnt den Besuch.

Un superbe bar à bières à l'ambiance cosy, une dizaine de bières au fûts, plus de 300 références en bouteilles, un beau choix de spiritueux, un cadre très sympa et un service qui l'est tout autant. Incontournable pour commencer ou finir une soirée si vous êtes de passage à Tromso.

With 20 minutes available before a family dinner, I headed to this place. Got the tasting tray (NOK 209 for five of their beers on tap), and got a bonus one for free. Eight taps, and a reasonably interesting bottle list as well. Good service, nice place with a good atmosphere. Will definitely go again next time I have 20 minutes to kill in Tromso...

Modern pub with a retro look. 8 beers on tap. Ab. 150 in the cupboards. Very good selection and an informative cupboard. (Good-looking as well). Tasting trays available.

Second best place in Tromsø, Ølhallen in still number one in my opinion. Cafe Sånn is a spacious cafe and bar with well curated craft beer selection both on tap and bottles/cans. Flights are available. But, 16 taps? I only saw 8. Did I miss something? More than 90 bottles/cans in the fridge, with focus on IPA. I enjoyed a Graff Growler Fill Specials #004. Finn and I also had a chat with CEO Torgeir Aasmo. Enjoyed my visit. (Visited July 19th 2017 with Finn)

This is the best beer place in Tromsø, at least at my weekend visit in June. From the outside there is nothing that tells you about the qualities at this place, but once you hit inside, you are met with a large bar, with a big chalkboard with the tap and bottle selection. At my first visit, I enjoyed lunch with Finn, together with some good beers from local Graff brewery, I had a tasting tray with 5 beers for a very reasonable price (189,-). Bottle list is solid, 50 % from the Nordic, rest was European and some US as well. Knowledgable staff, good WiFi, comfortable seating, all solid + in my book. Recommended place.

My one chance to do something beery in Tromso, day of departure. Cafe a short walk from the hotel, looks very much like a cafe until you walk in. Inside the place is fairly dominated by a large bar. Lots of comfy couches etc. around to sit on. Dim lighting. Beer is the focus here and the taplist is pretty solid. 16 or so beers -- updated the place listing to reflect that. I didn’t look closely at the bottle list, but they had an interesting selection on display. I did not ask about flights or half pours, but settled on an IPA from the list of Norwegian dominated beers. Wife had a virgin Mojito that was painstakingly created authentically at every step. Service was exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable. Prices would have seemed quite shocking had I not been properly forewarned. Did not try the food. Enjoyable place from top to bottom. Recommended.

Nice and cozy café in the center of Tromsø. Fairly large, but not to crowded when I visited on an early afternoon on a regular weekday. Fairly good selection on tap, mostly Norwegian micros and the majority was local. Tasting trays are availabe at a nice price. Great bottle selection too. Certainly worth a visit.

Nice modern café, good selection and improving, a bit up-priced, good service. Cafe Sånn is trying to become the beerspot in the northern part of Tromsø city centre, with an extended beer menu - and a blackboard with beer news. Sometimes very beautiful ladies. Sometimes music - sometimes quiet. Interesting local beers, as from Bodø, Florø....New York, London.
