 72 Quick visit en route back to the station after seeing Botch at New Century Hall. As it was a Friday night, music was blaring out and seemed quite a lively place. That said, I was served immediately on entering and took a seat outside (must've been too cold for everyone else as all benches were free). Didn't really get a proper look inside, but seemed like a horseshoe bar in the middle of a good sized room with lots of varying seat arrangements. Decent amount of cask and keg, picked off two new small local breweries. Got the impression this has a completely different feel during the week, with city-workers enjoying relaxed pint. Will definitely be back again. |

 80 Nice old boozer, located a little outside the city centre. Good range of beers across cask (especially) and keg and bottle. Very friendly service. Mix of old and young punters. Old time music playing. Great spot. Worth a visit. |

 86 My 4th pub on my Manchester crawl and how much has this one improved! Lots of local beers on hand pum in a large collection of keg beers all displayed on a useful board. Multi roomed place with a quiet buzz about it, certainly attracts the beer hunters. Very helpful bar keep on my visit. Will certainly return to this one. |

 78 A really late review of this place, visited a fee months ago, but I was just reminded of it. My favourite pub of my visit to Manchester. It wasn't very busy but the Victorian building itself provided the atmosphere.. It obviously has an original ceiling based on the betting hung up to stop the plaster falling down. Decent array if cask and keg, plus I bought my first Lola Polly tick as a takeaway. And I must add, I bought a Stilton pork pie and It hat to be the best pork pie I've ever scoffed down. It may not be the definitive craft establishment but it combines the best of old school and new school. Will definately return if in Manchester again. |
