In the very centre of Sandnes, 20m from the hart of Sandnes partying street. The storefront doesnt look welcoming (at least- it doesn't present the craft face of the spot). British interior far cry from the modern trends. 30 taps, 10 of which mainstream, remaining 20 craft, Norwegian mostly. Plus some bottles in the fridge. 78.

Melkebaren is the best (and only) reason for a Ratebeerian to spend more than half an hour in this nondescript and truly boring town. 31 taps with a wide variety of styles and breweries. Grotty interiør but friendly service, and if they're not too busy you can have a flight (as I did) of 5x10 cl at a very reasonable price.

What with all the TV screens, the almost shabby chic interior, and the close proximity to the train station, this place could easily be mistaken for just another one of those brown pubs, filled by local, quite drunk, rather filthy usual suspects. It might be, but it’s also one of the better beer places around. More than 30 different beers on tap, as well as a solid bottle selection. Very service minded staff with good knowledge, as well as acceptable pricing. Definitely a place to visit when in the area.

Nice beer selection! And that is what we want aint it. Sentral location, and easy to find. 5 min walk from the Train station.

My favouite and most used pub.I like the widescreen selection of beer on tap.😃 Dissapointed that they don’t have Kilkenny anymore 😢

Not coziest of places in regards of interior, but the staff and beer list is very nice indeed. Lots of good beers on tap, some not so interesting too, and a solid bottle list to chose from if you go tired of draft beers. Definitely a place I’ll return to. They don’t have a kitchen but the neighbour next door can deliver food here if you’re getting hungry.

A rather small and cool pub close to the pedestrian area in Sandnes. A black board behind the bar lists 31 taps, both micro and some macros, different in styles and strengths. Five beers, each 100ml, make up the sample tray. Lots of interesting craft beers on bottles as well. Large outdoor seating that should be nice in sunny weather. Polite service. Very quiet early on a Friday afternoon. Indifferent music, Spotify choices, I guess.

Improved a lot since 2011, more than decent selection, both on tap and bottles. Best place for beer in Sandnes, superb service as well, pizza next door can be enjoyed as well if youre hungry.
