Boxwood Cafe

The Village Brewery recommended the Boxfood as the best venue to try their entire lineup. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere here, as it is located in a city park. It is a lovely daytime place to sip some beer, and the food is solid too. Both the inside and outside are welcoming. Highly recommended as a place when you don’t necessarily want bar/pub but more of an al fresco bistro/cafe that has good beer.

For the beer lover, the key value of this cafe in a park is that it carries four Village Brewery taps, and according to the brewery is the most reliable place to source all of its current products at any one time. The Boxwood has a nice setting, and a tasty menu with natural products, most sourced from Alberta. Not a top beer destination or anything, but a good meal and the Village taps make it a worthwhile venue.
