“As others have noted, this place is right across from Cantillon so easily worth a stop. Very decent range of beers, focus on l’Ermitage, Tilquin, Popihn on my visit. Curiously, no Cantillon on offer. Very good prices. Staffer was happy to let me browse and didn’t interrupt (fine with me!). Lots of wines on offer as well, although I didn’t examine them. Not a beer destination on its own but worth a stop if you’re near by. Of note, this place opens earlier than the l’Ermitage taproom.“

“Right across the street from Cantillon. You can see the barrels, nice glass window, most the building is empty and bare, cool display of wines and beer. More wine than expected, beer from a French farmhouse style brewery which is apparently good but I have never heard of, Tilquin (including a box which I haven’t seen before) & L’Ermitage beers obviously. Brewery level prices for L’Ermitage beers & slightly up, okay prices for TIlquin but not great either. Interesting store whose target or purpose I cannot fully place to justify an affair this large. Service was disinterested. I assume they used it mainly to BA beers & decided to have a shop as a side hustle for extra income.“

“The bottle shop of Nanobrasserie de l’Ermitage in Anderlecht, located not far from the brewery, but actually much closer to another, world famous brewery, namely Cantillon, which is located diagonally across the shop – not a coincidence, I am inclined to think. Obviously all the new Ermitage releases (cans and bottles) are available here so if this is a brewery you want to stay up to date with and prefer drinking at home, this is the place for you. The shop also sells beers from other producers, with an emphasis on Brussels (I spotted a brand new Tilquin grape lambic, for instance), as well as a surprisingly large selection of natural wines, which seem to be given equal importance to the beers here. Not usually busy and no music or other ‘noise’ here so often makes a very quiet impression when you walk in, with only one person operating the store – typically a young lady behind a laptop, but consistently knowledgeable and helpful people, at least in my experience (I visited several times). Events are organized from time to time as well (I imagine this quiet shop suddenly becoming a lot more crowded then) and during Cantillon’s Zwanze Day, small samples of a couple of new Ermitage sours were available for free. Somewhat of a hidden gem, in the shadows of the giant lambic powerhouse that is Cantillon, but certainly worth a visit, if you come from Cantillon’s taproom...“
