“A decent beer destination in Bodø, located in the same place as Gulating Pub used to be. 15 taps with beers from Nøgne Ø, Hansa, Haandbryggeriet, and Sagene, among others. Their draught menu is supported by about 70 canned and bottled beers. I had a few from White Hag. Medium sized L-shaped bar room divided into smaller sections. Colourful decorated and quite cozy. Attentive, friendly, and informative service. Friendly meet-up with Foffern. (Visited 10.11.2023).“

“The best craft beer bar in Bodø, but the locals do not seem to appreciate this place enough. Not crowded at all a Saturday evening, a shame! Interesting beers on tap from Nøgne Ø, HaandBryggeriet, Ayinger, Great Divide, Vibrant Forest and more. Very friendly and talkative service. This bar was formerly known as Gulating Pub. “A maritime themed pub with lots of wooden elements, and different seating arrangements all from couples to smaller and bigger groups. A quite impressive selection on tap for a place like Bodø, and many that can't be found elsewhere in town. On my visit i noted Great Divide Yeti, Cigar City Maduro Brown ale and a couple from Ayinger among the 12 taps. They serve both 0.2 and 0.4 liters. The bottle and can selection is also quite wide with the weight on Norwegian and Swedish breweries. Quite silent on a friday night with me and my friend being the only guests for a couple of hours. Rock and hard rock music in the background. A great visit for beer enthusiasts in town. Look out for occasional beer events with selected breweries.“

“Has got a very good range of cans from the local Bådin brewery. I found craft beers from Bådin that I had not seen other places in town. Otherwise, it is only beers from the Ringnes brands on two rows with five taps in each of them. Quite large place place divided in smaller sections to watch different football matches. Sportsbaren is the main place for Bodø/Glimt supporters, but well behaved away supporters are much welcome. Central location at the first floor, upstairs from Larsen Vin & Matbar and on the other side of Stormen Kulturhus. I enjoyed a new Juicy Little Thing can (HBC 344) from Bådin while watching Liverpool vs Watford (2-0) on TV. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Good vibe and relatively crowded on a Saturday afternoon. (Visited 02.04.2022).“

“Even though they were very busy promoting and selling their huge success Førr Evig, their golden pils (Gullpils), I got a friendly welcome, and had a very informative chat with the brewery manager and the brewer. The location of the Brewery is just a ten minutes walk from the city center along the seaside southwest towards the part of Bodø called Molobyen or Breivika. There is a sign on the door in front of the warehouse building, but the main entrance is in the backyard, where the brewery plant is located alongside a little shop with their beers (4.7 % abv and beyond) together with Bådin merchandises. From time to time they arrange open brewery, special events and, under normal circumstances, an annual beer festival in late spring. I was very pleased with their hospitality, and left with a Bådin cap and a few cans of Helligvær Yuletide brew. (Visited 11.11.2020).“

“The brewery is "always open" or as long someone is at work. Small bottleshop with brewery mercandise such as beer glass and t-shirts. Fresh beers but the same as in grocery stores in Bodø. I guess there were eight different beers available at my visit. Nice to have a chat with the brewer. I just had to buy a t-shirt. Easy to find and free parking. (Visited July 24th 2020)“

“A large sportsbar with big screens "all over the place", heaven for those who like Norwegian and international soccer. Located upstairs in the shopping center "Glasshuset", above "Larsen Mat & Vinbar". Dark, brown interior, leather furniture. Long barcounter with six beers from the Ringnes portfolio, just ordinary stuff. But, you will find almost all beers from Bådin in the fridge. Verified Untappd venue. I found two new cans, released two months later at Vinmonopolet. Very friendly service. Also shuffle boards. A decent place to enjoy some cans from Bådin. (Visited July 23rd 2020)“

“Short visit at a quite day just after opening hours. Difficult to say anything about the ambiance, but seems to be a nice and cozy place. Helpful staff, decent selection on tap. Had just a 4 x 20 sample of their own beer and a burger for lunch. Beers where decent but nothing extraordinary, as rather common for a brew pup this type with restaurant and wine cellar as well. Burger was god but a bit pricy. I guess this has to be one of the better pub in town, even if I haven’t visiting any other.“

“The brewery is open on special occasions and for the annual beer festival. It's close to the city centre, so look for special events on their FB-page if you visit Bodø. They normally have their whole range on sale, and many on tap + guest beers. A nice place to have a Bådin beer, and they make the industrial looking location cozy as it can get. Serves local food sometimes. Usually the brewers are behind the bar, so it's possible to have a nice beer talk with them.“

“The hub of Bodø nightlife and popular music (live music every Thursday). As with every other bar in Bodø the tap line is boring (dictated by Ringnes) but there are some goodies in the bottle selection.“

“When we visited this pub was the official Gay Pride pub in Bodø. Totally packed by a colorful, cheerful crowd making totally chaos in the understaffed bar. I guess too many ordered colorful drinks. Well, both Bjarte1 and me are rather tolerant and enjoyed watching all the colorful feather boas, Elton John glasses, weird outfits and strange women who seemed rather uninterested in two handsome beer drinking men. Beer selection? Macro on tap, but a rather impressive bottled selection in the fridge. 25 bottles? Some more now I think. We left before we ended up with a free drink in our hand and a smiling dude at the other end of the bar counter.... Really a fun visit! And, normally this is not a gay bar, (I think...) if you are anxious for that. (Visited June 29th 2018 with Bjarte1)“

“Best place in Bodø, that’s for sure! Interesting bottle selection and 4 of their own beers on tap. Other beers on tap are from Ringnes/E.C. Dahls. Not impressing at all! A flight is 4 x 20 cl for 199 NOK. I enjoyed Hundholmen Sommer?Pils, Belgisk Wit, Belgisk Blonde and Smoked Strong Ale. All descent beers but not really my style. I missed a hoppy IPA, Porter or Imperial Stout. I guess wintertime is the season for dark beers. Attentive and nice service. Big place, two floors, lots of varied seating. We found some comfy sofas utstairs, with harbor view. Patio in front, both by the entrance and upstairs. (Visited twice June 29th 2018 with Bjarte1)“

“The beer assortment at this store has now, in the middle of November 2017, been upgraded to a +ØL concept, which means that they stock more beers than most of the others Vinmonopol stores in Norway. At the moment (mid-November) there were 586 different bottles and cans to choose from. A solid selection of Yuletide beers at this time of the year. The beers can be found on shelves and in coolers to the left when entering the store. And the store is located on the ground floor at a large shopping mall called City Nord slightly in the outskirts of the town center. Attentive and always friendly service. “A central located, modern, large place with two bars, open kitchen, different seating areas, and the brewery plant spread over two floors. Both floors are nicely decorated with beer related artworks. The tap menu is dominated by beers from the Ringnes/Carlsberg brands, included a few interesting ones from E.C. Dahls. They also have their own beers on tap, and sometimes the local Bådin on draught. An extensive bottled menu has got 15 beers from Bådin, quite a few Mikkeller beers in addition to American, Belgian, Dutch and UK bottles. My Club sandwich was tasty and well made. Polite service on my first visit. On my second visit I was lucky to meet the brewer (and one of the owners) who told me about the brewery and poured me a freshly made Pale Ale. Surprisingly good beers so far. For the time being this a certainly the best beer destination in Bodø. Located just off the pedestrian area towards the harbour. (Visited with Liv and Kjell 20.05 and then again 29.05.2017).“

“Probably the best place for a beer in Bodø situated in the city center, and is the citys largest bar serving all types of alcohol. At the moment the only brewpub in Bodø and the only pub where you can get Bådin beers on tap in town. The bottle selection is also quite good with well-selected quality beers and rare bottles as well. The food is also great with a wide range of dishes. The interior is nice with lots of different seat arrangements.“

“Central location in Gustav Moe-gården with a passage down from the main square. Medium sized, L-shaped room in a complete art retro décor, rather special and cozy. A Ringnes place with six taps including two from Brooklyn. Good range of bottled beers from the local Bådin microbrewery in addition to craft beers from breweries like Evil Twin and Beavertown. Polite service. Occasionally live music. (Visited with friends after talking about early modern magic in Stormen litteraturhus, 31.08.2016).“

“Probably the best grocery store in Bodø regarding beer selection. (ABV up to 4,7%) Eurospar is in a small shopping mall called "Trekanten" It is right next to the bigger mall "City Nord" Beer selection is pretty much the same as at Coop Obs Hypermarked (Bådin, Ægir, Kinn, Nøgne Ø, 7 Fjell, Austmann and Lofotpils) but Eurospar has a wider foreign selection and Norwegian breweries such as Lauvanger, Lervig, Haandbryggeriet and Trollbryggeriet. “This Vinmonopolet store has the best beer selection in Bodø. The website says 159 beers, but this store has many more; all available beers from Bådin and they had a lot of hard to find Belgium beers as well at my visit. Service was superb! “The best pub in Bodø considering beer selection. But, be aware that Bodø is not a great beer destination! What Piccadilly offers on tap is a shame; not a single craft beer. About 100 bottles but nothing rare. I only found one new beer: Bådin Stille Dal. Sadly this IPA was not good at all. Damn! The beer expired in November 2015. “A nice restaurant. Friendly service and a good selection Bådin beers in bottles. "Bådin Ohma" in the beer list on the table tempted me, but unfortunately this beer was not in stock. But, the waitress recommended the nearby Asian restaurant, Ohma. Off course! It’s a house beer for an Asian seafood restaurant. Later I got the beer there. “Updated rating: The bottled beer selection has improved! About 25 bottles and finally beer from the local brewey Bådin. (3 Bådin, 3 Nøgne Ø, 3 Ægir and 2 Haandbryggeriet) Only Piccadilly has better beer selection in Bodø now. (Visited March 29th 2016) Old rating: A nice pub for sure, but it has has nothing to offer regarding interesting beers. Boring beer on tap and a decent selection of the usual ones like Brooklyn, Leffe, Duvel, Staropramen, San Miguel etc. I have the same expectations to a pub at an airport as to a pub downtown. Thats why most airport pubs are unexciting in my opinion. I agree with Rune: why not offer beers from the local microbrewery? And, why the name "Brygghuset" (Brewery House)?? “A popular, street corner British look-alike pub centrally located close to Stormen, the new live music venue and library in Bodø. A Ringnes pub when it comes to the beer menu, meaning tap and bottles from the Ringnes brands including Stella, Franziskaner weissbier and Brooklyn. However, they also promotes bottles from the local microbrewery Bådin, at least seven variants at our visit, among them their brilliant Black IPA called Bådin 8013. The Swedish girl at the bar was friendly and let us have a close look at the Bådin bottles before buying. Comfortable seating around the main bar. Decent pub, nothing special though (visited with Steven and Kjell, 10.06.2015).“

“I assume this is more of restaurant than a bar, but they did have a quite small dedicated beer menu. They had four or five Bådin beers on bottle when I visited, I went for the Wit, which was a very nice beer. They also had a few other more or less interesting ones, but when in town I wanted to check out the local brew. The cheeseburger was excellent btw, up on the same level as the hyped burger joints you have in Oslo.“

“Probably the best place for a decent selection of beer in Bodø. The tap selection is pretty standard but has a solid bottle meny. A relatively wide range of breweries represented, though not many beers from every brewery. Sometimes I find beers that are rarely found elsewhere in Norway. Relaxing ambience but could get crowded late at the weekends, mainly because the pub is quite small. No loud music here. Has a pretty nice classic looking british pub interior. Sometimes they house opera shows (!).“

“Probably the best place for serious beer drinking in Bodø. All the nine taps are of the usual kind, but the large bottle menu includes all the ales from the local Bådin Microbrewery in addition to brews from Nøgne Ø., Lervig, Ægir, Mack, Mikkeller, BrewDog, Anchor, Sierra Nevada, Kona and so on. Long-established and quite famous, not only locally, for being a successful opera pub. Quite nice and relaxing ambiance, medium sized, British pub inspiration, and a little worn-out décor. “Even though this one can’t be labelled a beer destination, I submit an entry since they offer all the beers from the local Bådin Microbrewery, not easy to find other places in Norway or in Bodø as well. Otherwise the bar has got a few Brooklyn and Erdinger bottles apart from the usual fizzy stuff. It’s divided into a charming and cozy café bar, called Terrassen, and a separate restaurant section for lunch and dinner. Well-made and tasty bar food. Located just at the south entrance of the so called glass house in the main pedestrian area of Bodø. Polite service from Swedish girls (visited with Kjell and family, drinking Bådin Stille Dal early on a Saturday afternoon, 01.03.2014).“

Nøgne Ø, Haandbryggeriet and Ægir are on offer in addition to a few trappist beers, Duvel, Budweiser Budvar, BrewDog, Brooklyn and the usual ones like Guinness, Kilkenny, Ringnes and Carlsberg. Not that great range of interesting ales, however, the pub should be one of the best beer-related pubs at Norwegians airports. Service was quite alright. In the Vinmonopol chain it has got shop category 5 (of 7) which means that they can get a fair amount of the chains stock list. It’s not the largest one in Bodø, but has a rather quick turnover when it comes to beers. I found beers from Mikkeller and BrewDog, among others, that were new to me Satisfying beer knowledge. The Vinmonopol at City Nord shopping mall has a much better selection, and is one of the norwegian Vinmonopol with best selection except the to special stores in Bergen and Oslo. This downtown Vinmonopolet still might have some beers that you don’t get other places of the simple reasons that beer geeks don’t go here, so it’s worth a visit.“
