“Large outdoor space in the square adjacent to the bar where you can eat and drink. The service, food, and beer selection was good. Had my first Mort Subite here and really enjoyed the setting. We did not go in the bar during lunchtime but it looked like a good spot from the outside.“

“A nice little bar with 13 different beers from the tap. The waitress who attended us was nice and I liked the funky soul music which came out the bar's stereo. If you are hungry, just go next door and have a delicious Flammkuchen, which you can also eat at the bar.“

“Situated in a big industrial zone, far away from residential areas, it's a place where you can drink plenty of homebrews. If you are hungry, you can order one of the many different dried sausages they serve there with bread. The music playing there is mainly rock, from the 60s to the 90s. The furniture is basic, but the good beers compensate this.“

Kleine eet mogelijkheden. Toffe muziek. Rustiger in de namiddag.

“A store that, like a few others in town, specialises in local products however this one has the best range of local beers. Many of the Alsace micro-breweries (there are over 25 different breweries) are represented with a few beers from each on the shelf. Prices are Colmar standard. The place in Colmar to go to whete you can find many local beers in one place.“

“A small bar in the main street decorated with pressed metal beer/brewery signs. There are some twelve taps and 65 bottles available and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Beers are mostly Alsace local plus a couple of major internationals. Prices for draught beers are €3.90-4.90/0.25l. The best craft beer in Colmar.“

“A small bar with about twelve taps and seventeen bottles available. The tap beers are maily local while the bottles are mostly Belgian with prices around €2.70/0.25l for draught and around €5.50 per bottle. It's a venue to sample local beers on tap.“

“Found this place by accident while strolling through the old town. Of course I couldn't resist going in, and neither could I have left with empty hands. The shop is small but offers a nice selection of mostly local beers from Alsace. Probably around 30 breweries present, all with at least 3 beers. Since I didn't know the local scene at all, I just went for labels or interesting descriptions. Staff was there but did not pick up that help would have been appreciated. They did know their stock however, as my question for local cidres was answered positively. Prices were good, and the beers I got as well. Definitely a place every beer hunter should visit when staying in Colmar!“

“It is a huge supermarket, at 20 minutes walking from the train station, if you are in the area, keep an eye. There is an interesting selection of breweries from Alsace and the Vosges, with some Belgian beers and the traditional french ones, not great but you could have a look. this city could have a better beer shop, fortunately that they have the brin de paille.“

“I went to this grocery, during a stay, at this beautiful city, touristic, but a lovely place. Enjoying that the children were sleeping and I have taken my two hands and legs, it was not so far away. There is a nice selection of local breweries, mainly they come from Alsace. I think that the staff are not experts, but for me, it doesn't matter, already knowing the thinks that I would like to buy, charmant selection of Bendorf brewery, if you are in Colmar, it is a place to visit.“

“Small grocery store with everything from milk to liver paste to bananas. One wall is comprised of beer, perhaps 50 to 60 different types, pretty much all of them regional specialties. I picked up a half dozen or so bottles at an average price of about €3 per bottle and got a glass thrown in for free. Owner was knowledgeable enough to identify some brews by style and make some recommendations, but English was limited. Overall, worth a stop if in town, especially as the place down the street is now closed.“

“Visited the 15th July 2017 - the new taproom just opened - visit to pick up a KeyKeg and some bottles. Very friendly staff and great ambiance. I was able to get some sip of new beers. Beers are cheap, and there are some taps. I think the staff is starting to have a bar/taproom and move to be a trendy place in Colmar. High recommended.“

We popped into Au Brin De Paille on Monday 20th June 2016. Interestingly whilst visiting here we stumbled across a new beer shop just a little further back on the opposite side of the road, however that wasn’t open today so I will visit it tomorrow, but Au Brin De Paille was open. Much like Les Incorruptibles I cannot give really be 100% sure of where this is situated as my inbuilt compass has failed me today, however it’s reasonably central, perhaps 5 minutes walk from the centre of town.

This is a smallish shop that concentrates on local produce, so think Cheese, Foie Gras, Pates etc but as you enter off to the RH side the whole wall there is taken up with beer and in keeping with the local producers these also appear to be mostly Alsace beers from what I could see. The local Sainte Cru brewery is well represented with about 10-12 beers but there are also many other breweries most of them new to me.

The lady who served us was very friendly, however not so knowledgeable on the beer front I don’t think. The prices seemed ok, I picked up six beers for €22 and most of these were 8% abv plus. I would suggest that if you are in Colmar on a Monday or indeed a Sunday (it opens for a couple of hours on a Sunday) then pop here, on other days the beer shop 1 minute walk on other side may be a better option, though this may still win out on really local beers and is worth visiting as well.

We popped into Les Incorruptibles on Monday 20th June 2016. I have to say that somewhat unusually I haven’t really got my bearings with this town yet, my inbuilt compass appears to be failing me. However this bar is on a corner with a large old and rather solid looking school building opposite, it is also at the end of a run of what one may call a little drinking strip in this part of town.

I wasn’t overly excited with the beer list but nonetheless it was better than the vast majority of places in town. There wasn’t really anything new for me save for perhaps a Pelforth Radler but with Kwak, Duvel, Chimay, Barbar etc on offer I skipped the Radler rate and went for a Duvel.

We sat outside on one of the tables on the pavement and took in a little sunshine whilst watching the world go by. I guess this is more of a down to earth place, certainly inside it is quite a straightforward and plain drinking establishment, in fact it’s much smaller inside than I imagined. It’s quite a nice old corner building, though to be fair there are few buildings in this town that look shabby. I guess that this would be a busy place late evening and a sure fire place to catch up on one of the Euro 2016 games, but even early/mid afternoon we got the last table. Not an amazing place, more of a place where one can be guaranteed a reliably decent beer.

Chouette place !“
