“Simple joint with coolers full of local and US micro brews .... They try to keep it organized according to styles. Mostly IPA doors and you self serv. Their tap system was broken so they had all bottles which sucked. Kind of off the beaten path, but a nice patio out front was a good time to chill and have a few before moving on to the next spot. Food menu looked great, nice pub grub and it smelled excellent, but better choices when your in the area for sure“

“Definitely traditional looking on the outside and inside. Place looks aged, but considering all the hip/chic bars near this place that's not a bad thing. Standard pub grub that smelled great, soccer on the big screens and three hand pumps of Fullers Beers!! The London Porter was great so they def maintain their lines here .... Mostly British and some German brews on tap with a few larger more common craft choices .... Def a place to avoid the younger crowd“

“This place gets mobbed, right in the thick of Atlantic Ave ... Tons of variety of peeps here who come for the drinks and food so def not a beer first bar although they have lots of taps... The staff was young and really just trying to keep up with how busy this place stays .... I'd come here for a solid brew (I stuck to Sculpins), the killer food and the awesome scenery (lots of people watching on this corner) .... It's a pricey place“

“Nice setup right off of I95 .... lots of variety of styles with some great one offs and lots of room inside and out. Must have had over 10 brews on tap. Staff was friendly ... nice views of the brewery equipment behind the bar ... growler fills and brew to go along with some nice swag ..... Food truck that day was awesome and I've heard they bring in some good ones. Can't go wrong here“

“Great bottle selection with rarities. Scored some great Funky Buddha brews here. Staff was friendly and the tap list was extensive. Lots of local craft and popular craft can be found and had. Comfy couches and the food smelled good. Outdoor seating and karaoke night. Best beer bar for craft variety/tap list in my opinion.“

“Very nice looking place just off I95. Loved the atmosphere as well as the outside patio. The beers on the other hand ranged from good (as in average and nothing really bad) to very good in a few cases...nothing really outstanding to my thinking...at least night the night we visited. We did try "all" that were available that night...but if going primarily for the craftbeer experience...there are definitely better choices up and down the Gold Coast (nearby Due South would be a good example)“

“Went there before heading to dinner nearby on a quiet Sunday evening. The place is in a huge barn. Lots of room, huge place, big bar, lots of games, inside and outside. Band set up and was playing outside, but music was piped in across the place. Flights available. Beer ranged from better than average to wonderful. Staff was super nice. Place was super clean.“

“Big inside and out with a pretty good crowd of old and young. Beer selection is all theirs, and there’s a nice mix of styles. The food truck outside keeps it clean inside yet makes for easy food access to thwart oncoming alcohol induced hunger pangs. I’ll be back for sure.“

“Very Cool chill spot. Self service style that immediately takes pressure off of you and you don’t feel like you have to impress anyone (snobby bartenders). Owners are there everyday and more than happy to help no matter what you like.“

“Great bottle selection and a nice draft selection. The panini sandwiches are nice. The atmosphere is basic, but homey. Outdoor seating. Parking in the rear. Plenty of wines, espresso drinks and coffee. Great service. One flat screen television behind the bar. With all the taps and bottles, there’s no reason why a person would walk in here and not find a beer they absolutely love.“

“My new favorite SoFL brewpub! The atmosphere is quite ideal. Big indoors and outdoor beer garden. Relaxed, self-serve at bar, great service. Family friendly. Minimum 10 house brews. Nice variety, decent quality. Easy to get to right off I-95 and Tri-Rail. Need more places like this for sure.“

“Visited after dinner on a Wednesday evening. Bright modern coffee shop feel, area is nominally split between a walk up coffee bar, and a more traditional bar where the beer taps are at. 15 well chosen drafts, I visited at the tail end of Florida beer week, so great selection of local beers. The food on offer was panini sandwiches, salads, soup and bar bites. Good crowd, friendly guy working hard behind the bar. Certainly my kind of place.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Shiny new brewery located right off I-95. Large beer garden area as you walk up, with a big indoor tasting area in the front of a production brewery. Tasting room is a bigger, bar, bar tables, a shuffleboard table and a couch area. Parking lot is a fairly small, though there is parking all around the area. Good crowd when I visited on a Wednesday night, and the bartender was efficient and friendly. They had 10 of their own beers on and the 4 beer sampler I ordered was only $6. Didn’t ask about food and didn’t see any. Overall, nice well designed space.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“If I didn’t know better, I would say I was in Austin Texas. This place is a really cool place with an inviting outdoor area. Big beer garden style tables outside, shuffle board, corn hole, etc. Friendly staff with a decent selection of in house brewed beers.“

“Right off I-95 in Delray Beach. You can see the facility from the interstate. They’ve done a great job with the tasting room. Long wooden bar. Nine beers on tap. Wooden round tables atop wooden kegs with wooden stools. Bar chairs with back support. Two flatscreens showing sports. Small area where merchandise can be purchased (ballcaps, t-shirts, tanks & long sleeved t-shirts). Very nice outdoor area with wooden tables and benches. Nice tropical foliage. You almost forget you’re 150 yards from I-95. There’s an ATM, country music, outdoor cornhole & an indoor shuffleboard table. MJ was running the bar and could not have been more patient or personable. Definitely worth a visit.“

“Nice coffe bar with some outstanding beers, we managed to score a Cantillon Rosé De Gambrinus, and they also had a keg of Abbeye de Saint Bon Chien, so we were happy chappies! Reminded me of some of the places in Europe. Didn’t eat, and didn’t stay inside too long as I’m not a lover of Karaoke, lol. Beautiful in December though sitting outside, I would recommend this coffee shop/bar to anyone.“

“Agree with the other reviews. Beer selection is very good and not bad prices but the staff knows more about cocktails than beer. The food tastes wonderful but portions and prices are too upsale for me. So go for a brew then move on for dinner.“

Duffys (Bar)
1750 S FEDERAL HWY
“This is your typical sports bar for all intents and purposes. But of the Duffy’s chains this is the one with the best beer selection. While you can walk into any other Duffys and find nothing really to drink this one always seems to have the craft staples. Stone, DFH, Oskar Blues, etc. It’s nice if you want to catch a game or watch the fights to be able to drink a good beer. And as previously mentioned their happy hour is almost all day.“

“A coffee shop that boasts 16 very interesting tap brews and a huge bottle list with many great beers. The bright neon lighting is a tad offputting but when you see the muffins behind the counter you remember you’re not in an actual bar... Atmosphere is a tad sterile because of that, but when you’re there with friends and beer lovers, as was I, this is quickly forgotten. A great little place for its selection and very friendly service. I’ll be back, especially since they seem to keep their website menu up-to-date.“

“A small coffee shop with 16 taps and 100+ bottles of beer. While it isn’t a regular bar, Chung does a great job bringing in great, new beers into the area. Most of the food items are geared towards the coffee side, but many go along great with your beer. If you want some great coffee and beer, the Coffee District is where you should go to in Delray.“

Duffys (Bar)

“For your typical bar/restaurant they have a good beer selection with a hand full of craft offerings. The best part is that it seems to be happy hour every time I’m there, so I can drink 2 for 1 Arrogant Bastards while my friends drink Miller Lite. Good place for what it is.“

“Just not my kind of place. Too many pretty people who would look more at home on South Beach. As far as the selection, you have to give it to them for offering some good drafts, while us beer geeks are more than used to the 90 minuets and Chimays, they are exposing a new crowd to craft beer. The bartenders, while attractive, didn’t seem to know much about what they were pouring. Once again just not my kind of place but for a certain crowd I’m sure it is a nice place to check out.“

“Small place with a coffee house atmosphere, guess that’s obvious with the name and all. The beer selection is top notch and new stuff comes in on a weekly basis. 6 drafts that usually feature the rarer kegs we get in South Florida. Service always excellent and friendly, Chung, the owner, is always around, happy to talk beer and make you feel welcome. Sandwiches and salads are very good. If your looking for a bar bar it might not be your scene, but over all it’s a great place.“

“This rating is in relative terms to the scene in South Florida. Chung and his staff do the best with what we get down here. In fact, sometimes if the distributor only has one keg of a special release, Chung gets it. The food is basic but very tasty. The staff is attentive and friendly. It has limited seating, but that’s sparks a very interactive atmosphere on tasting nights. As a matter of fact, the only draw back is the 20 mile drive back home.“

“This is one of my go to bars that I frequent very often. In my opinion it is sort-a the hidden gem of craft beer in the local area. Coffee District is located just off Atlantic Ave in the heart of Delray Beach, specifically Pineapple Grove. The Coffee District is home to over 120 different bottles of craft beer as well as 6 rotating tap selections that always lead me to the same question…How Did They Get This?!? They also have limited food offerings and a full coffee/tea bar. Starbucks eat your heart out! Chung the Owner of the bar is just as much of a beer geek as the rest of his staff. Ultra friendly, everyone there is willing to educate, talk, and most importantly serve (21+ of course!) you some of the best beer available in the area. I have NEVER heard anyone complain about the service which they have received from Chung and his staff. So to sum it all up; A small laid-back coffee shop and beer bar, located in the heart of Delray, fair prices, great events, great selection of beer (draft and bottle), and a friendly staff….Yep thats The Coffee District!“

“Stopped by here on a recent visit to S. Fl and I am glad I did. I went in on a Monday and it looks more like a coffee shop but there is a great bar with a great selection of beer. Happy hour is also a good deal. Chung is very friendly and once he knew I was on Ratebeer he let me know that they have tastings on Monday and offered for me to stay a bit longer to try some of the beers they had. Tried some of the hummus while watiing and it was good. Definitely a great place with friendly service and good selection of beers and would recommend it to anyone. Also big thanks to the Ratebeer guys for sharing.“

“You can’t beat the atmosphere of this place. True authentic English pub feel and the food is the same. They have the best Shepard’s Pie I have ever had in my life. Their selection is standard English pub stuff including 4 hand pumps. They have some craft choices and tend to have a special tap every once and awhile. They always seem to soccer matches on and that’s awesome. Also some good cover bands come through there. But not your typical cover bands. Usually older rock and a lot of Beatles tunes.“

“I’ve been going here for quite awhile. It’s just a bit off the main Ave in the up and coming Pineapple Grove area of Delray Beach’s downtown area. The place itself is very nice and clean. A little brighter than what you expect at night but not a big deal. The selection in bottle is great for what we can get down here. The taps are constantly rotated and they tend to get some of the more rare kegs that hit South Florida. Food is limited because they can’t have a full kitchen but their sandwiches are awesome. Chung and Melinda really know their beer and are extremely personable. Every Monday is a beer meetup where people bring rare beers to share. A must stop in South Florida. EDIT: They are now up to 18 taps! They get some pretty rare kegs in there.“

“The Office just opened in January 2010. The good: 40 plus bears on tap and many of them are surprisingly diverse. Avery IPA is a true pleasure, Dogfishhead 60 minute, Rugue Shakespeare Stoudt, Victory Prima Pils and a bunch of Belgians (which are not my thing, so cant comment). The food is also good, albeit in small portions. Recommend sitting on the outside bar which is on the sidewalk, very nice. Great for meeting people and watching the world go by. One other plus: the bar is run very efficiently and the service fairly attentive. The downside. The beer is served in 12 oz glasses, no pints, and the prices are very expensive (miami beach expensive.) If you have the $$ to spend, a great place to get some good micros in Delray.“

“UPDATE: As of today CD’s draft selection has gone from 6 to 14 (with the possibility for 18). Chung always seems to get the rare kegs so this is excellent news for craft beer lovers in the area. I’m looking at S. Tier Chocolate and Gemini, Cigar City Batch 69, Bells Expedition and Double Cream, Dogfish Burton Baton ect... RATING: A great relaxed place to sit down and enjoy good beer with people who understand and appreciate it. Chung, the owner is very knowledgeable and accommodating and the rest of the staff is friendly. The draft selection has improved greatly over when they first opened with a frequently rotating selection and they seem to carry most of the bottles that are available in the area. The food selection is small but the sandwiches and desserts are great.“

“Tucked away in chilled-out Delray Beach, this is an atmospheric bomb on the inside and plays hideous music, but with some tables and chairs outside it can become part of a very pleasant afternooneven more so if you get some soul food from down the street first, I’m sure. Mostly a coffee shop with a tiny little bar area to the side. Some of the baristas in here are holier-than-thou and clueless in the beer department, but the main beer guy/bartender knows his stuff and is more than happy to put a smile on a beer lover’s face. Hopefully he will be there when you are. Good bottle selection, decent prices. Delray itself is nice, I’m looking forward to going back.“

“Great little place in downtown delray. Opened Fall 07 so its pretty new. Great bottle selection including one I hadn’t seen anywhere else except up in Orlando. Scaldis Noel (a heck of a beer in fact). Tap selection is weak but they only have 4 taps. I suggested rotating the tap currently occupied by the 90 minute and the belgian white so we will see if they take it. I also suggested some other beers to pursue to the bartender, Grahm.“
