“Stopped in after spending a few days in Chattanooga with the family. Nice selection of out of state and in state distro as well as imports. Would like to see single purchases on all beers though. Local choices were kind of limiting in the singles cooler. Will definitely be back when in the area.“

“Best overall beer store around by far. They have growler fills, a rack of make your own six pack, a vintage beer cooler, and tons of large format bottles. No shortage of stuff to choose from. Homebrew supplies are available too. Service has gone above and beyond each time I have visited. WIll definitely return and would advise anyone in the chatt area to pay them a visit!“

“As far as ambiance goes, there isn’t any. This place has nothing any other store I’ve been in has. They sell smokeless tobacco for crying out loud and the counter reminds me of a convenient store. The guys working inside did seem to want to help me but probably just so I would buy more. They tried to give me a $1 discount on Yeti if I bought two. The selection is however, very good for the area. Allagash, De Dolle, Victory, Lagunitas, Sweetwater, Roddenbach, Ommegang, Duck Rabbit, and Achel just to name a few. If you are around Chattanooga then this is the place as it is only about a ten to fifteen minute drive from Tennessee. I have been to places with more selection but none around Chattanooga. Rerate: I haven’t been to Ft. Oglethorpe in over a year. They have expanded the size of the store and cleaned it up. Still in a seedy area but the store is nice. The growler wall is an awesome edition and at 50 cents a sample you can’t go wrong. Selection is great for the area. If your in the Chattanooga area or just passing through it isn’t very far off of I-75, easy to find, and the prices are as good as anywhere else.“

“I visited this establishment while coming home from a major road trip. While approaching Chattanooga, I realized that this was a perfect opportunity to visit this much-ballyhooed store. I am glad that I paid them a visit! Looks as though they have one of the best beer selections in Georgia, if not the absolute best. OK, maybe there’s not much that one couldn’t find in Atlanta, but their selection is impressive. The staff are friendly and helpful, and can they pack a box with beers. If ever you are in the Chattanooga area, do pay ’em a visit.“

“Well, a 3 for ambiance is probably stretching it. Let me put it this way - I don’t know if Fort Oglethorpe has a good side of town, but this ain’t it. This place is wedged in the corner next to a Big Lots and Food City. But once inside, it’s a pretty nice place, at least in the beer area. The selection is pretty good, with some singles available and a some in coolers, as well. Nice growler wall, and they take care to fill growlers well and seal them properly. Good prices on growler fill, as well.“

“This is a great store for craft beers. They just recently expanded into a larger area. There is a very nice setup for growlers with at least 20 beers to choose from (for growlers). They had a nice selection of craft beers from a wide area, and the owner stated that since they just expanded he is planning on getting in a lot more selection above what he already has. They had a lot of cold beer to choose from, and also had a pick a mix (pick 6 different beers) for a six pack.“

“These guys are great. Selection is better than anything in Tennessee, prices are reasonable, perhaps even a bit low compared to others. These people know their beers, and even pointed me away from some I had picked out because they didn’t match the profile I was giving. I dropped a couple hundred bucks there, they made it worth my while. It’s a must-visit kind of place. I’m from Nashville and find the 2 hour drive most worthwhile.“

“Where I live (East Ridge) this place is the best place within 50 miles where I can find beer and knowledge on beer that I consider a quality beer store. The guy here knows all his beers and will tell you anything you need to know. If you want a beer he will look into it for you and let you know if he can or can not get it for you. Every week there’s a new beer (which means a new rating). And the services there is more than exceptional. I have been going here for the past year now and I will continue as long as I live in the area. Keep up the good work guys!!!“

“A tiny little shop in a small strip mall, tucked in the elbow. A nice assortment of craft stuff - all the GA and Carolina stuff you would want, plus a decent amount of stuff from the rest of the country and Europe. No ambiance, no help but no real problem. I stopped looking for Duck-Rabbit, Terrapin and Sweetwater and came out with what I was hoping for. Nice detour route off of I-75 over toward Chickamauga & Lookout Mountain, then back up into run-down Chattanooga and I-24.“

If in Chattanooga, the beer selection is awful for a conisseur, so the only option is to go south a few miles to Georgia for top choices.“

“Great selection close to Chattanooga but exempt from our arcane beer laws. Won’t break sixes but the staff was kind enough to grab whatever singles they had out of the back from sixes that for one reason or another were broken up. Standard pricing. In a ghetto shopping center. Smells a bit like hookah smoke.“

“This is easily the best selection of high ABV beers in the Chattanooga metro area. Sadly, old laws and distributor problems keep many of the beers in stock out of Tennessee but our friends at Beverage World are happy to accommodate. This isn’t exactly the most classy of locales but the service and selection make up for it.“

“These guys don’t have a ton of beer to choose from, but what they have is pretty damn good. They had the DFH Immortal Ale and Palo Santo, and some other goodies that I don’t have access to here in Greenville, SC. I was impressed with the quality of the selection. I can’t say enough about it. I spoke to one of the owners, and he said that they knew all about rate beer. He said that they constantly were ordering new stuff and he was even willing to order something for me. They had all of the common breweries that I find here in Greenville, but the actual brews that they had were far from common. At least for what I’m used to seeing here in SC. Everything from the Duckrabbit Rabid Dog Imp St, to the Lagunitas Hop Stoopid. If you are in Chattanooga, don’t waste your time going anywhere else.“

“Nothing new to say in regard to the ambiance or service, all the previous ratings are right on the money. I will add that as of 7/26 they’ve added a good lineup of Weyerbacher products. I got the double simcoe and the hops infusion. They had the impy stout and the barleywine as well. For Chattanooga it is great.“

“Interesting and slightly oddball place that is only a few miles off of I-75 and is worth the detour. The best overall beer selection in the Chattanooga area. About 75% of the stock is available as singles. Good prices on most, and they even have a small selection of glassware. Nice owner who showed me some singles in the walk-in cooler, and carried my box to the car for me.“

“The best selection I’ve seen so far in the Chattanooga area. If you are a beer lover, it is absolutely worth the drive to Fort O to check out Beverage World’s offerings. Their selection is particularly strong in the Belgian, Import, seasonal high-alcohol brews. St. Bernardus, Rochefort, Orval, Chimay Blue, Westmalle, Gouden Carolus, Terrapin, Great Divide, DogFish Head, Sweetwater, Samuel Smith’s, lots of Rogue, Lagunitas, Anchor, and a whole lot more. Better selection than Riverside in North Chatt (although Riverside has a few brands Beverage World doesn’t). Their prices are competitive and the service is excellent. They are open to requests, and are always getting in new brews. The #1 stop for beer in the Chattanooga area! Highly, highly, highly recommended!“
