“Great place! Was the only one in Gettysburg open on Wednesday and thinkin maybe it must be the best. Nice trendy varieties, lots of hazies, some smoothies, a pastry, pils and so on. All that we tried were excellent along with the food. Recommended.“

“nice spot right near downtown gettysburg, smack in a residential neighborhood. well appointed indoor area with a walkup counter for ordering, and a dozen or so taps. food service as well. decent sized outdoor area for the size of the lot; beers were decent, food was ok. Nice stop!“

“went in July 2022 and we stayed outside due to covid, and it was hot hot hot. can't rate the inside, but the outside ambiance was great. large outdoor area with lots of benches and a few tables, lots of trees. good spot if you want to bring kids (ugh) or dogs (yay!). an outside walkup ordering window (awesome). Beers were average. Tater tot appetizer was excellent. overall a nice experience.“

“Close to the center of Gettysburg, there's ample parking on the street and in the lot behind ... a stone's throw from Appalachian Brewing's Battlefield location. They have a really cool logo and a bright, friendly environment, including a small patio. Decent lineup of beers presented via Untappd menu, but tilted toward the younger crowds. Beers were OK, but nothing noteworthy. Food menu looked pretty all-American and looked good, but we didn't eat. Would stop by again. Brewery #956.“

“Had been to a previous Gettysburg location, thought this was the same, but they've moved over the years, now with two in G-burg, plus three other sites in PA in addition to the Harrisburg OG. This one is a pretty typical road-side American pub. The menu is somewhat limited and ordinary, but most of the food was good. ABC doesn't seem to change their beer lineups very often, but they had about 12 to offer. Like the food, somewhat ordinary but decently made.“

“We came here on 25.8.2019. This brewpub opened 4 weeks ago. They already had more than 12 own taps. Ok brewhouse visibility through a glass wall. Overall nice ambiance. Believe they will have a patio soon. Food was quite good. The beers definitely need more time. Not sure why they started with so many beers, rather than focusing on the quality of a few ones.“

“We came here on 25.8.2019. Seems this brewpub has been opened not too long ago and has replaced the Buford Ave location, which should categorized as 'out of business'. Very nice location, especially liked the beer garden. You can only drink out of plastic cups outside, but this is due to the PA regulations. Inside a long bar, a lot of tables and very modern decoration. The beers are typical ABC: drinkable but not great.“

“This was a disappointing stop. Outside the downtown area of Gettysburg in a historical building (served as a Confederate hospital). The ambiance was nice and quaint. The beer list is small. Unfortunately the beer was flawed and not so good. We were planning to stay for food, but the beer wasn't good enough to keep us there. I believe they also are a distillery and have whiskey available. I wanted to like this place, but the beer was not worth it.“

“A tiny but crowded bar in downtown Gettysburg. Barely a seat at the bar on a late Friday night. A bunch of TVs, definitely a sports bar atmosphere. Their draft selection is ok - nothing to write home about, but gets the job done. I got a Sculpin and Troegs Pumpkin. I didn't get any food but they mainly have burgers with a Civil War theme (obviously). Gettysburg doesn't have much of a beer scene, so for the area it's a decent stop but don't expect too much.“

“Busy place for a monday evening! Was told about a 15 minute wait but was more like 5. Waitress was very cool. Burgers were yummy and wife's meal was good also. Decent draft and bottle selection. Apparently not a BMC,s place any more. I finally got a chance to try a Pizza Boy beer! Food/drinks came out quickly and our waitress was reasonably attentive and handled my BS joking like an old pro! I love that and it showed in my tip. Clean pissery. $33 for our meals and drinks,, can't beat that!! Parking can be weird but hell,, yer in Gettysburg. Nice beers, good food and awesome service. WTF else do ya want! Worth a stop for sure!“

“Great building! Love the wood and timbers construction. Service was good, food was just okay though the chips were fairly addictive. Beers were fairly meh. Nothing off but just not interesting enough to order more than the one 4 beer flight that i had. The Amber being about the most drinkable. Though they did a rye whisky barrel aged version of it that was pretty friggin gross. Nice folks, owner took us on a quick tour of the brewery. Plenty of parking, clean pissery, doing crowlers and now distilling their own spirits. Worth a stop if your nearby but nothing to go out of your way for unless your into old buildings.“

“Came here on October 1st 2017. Make sure you capture the brewery in your GPS not the tap room which is located in the village of Gettysburg - 5 miles away. A very special location for sure. This building was used as a hospital during the civil war battle. Beautiful wooden gable and memorabilia reminding of the civil war. Brewery is downstairs - the top of some tanks are visible. Beers are quite good. They had 7 taps when I came. Oktoberfest Märzen: was not really a Märzen style but was good, Chocolate Raspberry stout: only 3.8 % and really good - also served at the right temperature (warmer than other beers) - very rare in the US!!! Finished with an IPA, which was average. They have a little food menu, prepared directly behind the counter. A must stop when you are in the area!“

“One of the coolest brew works that I have been to, a beautiful, unique, old Civil War era barn that served as a field hospital for the Confederate troops during the battle. Wonderful wood construction, cozy and warm inside. A nice walk up bar. We did not try the food. The people here are great and it would be a nice place to bring kids to even. Very easy to get to a and nice country view through the picture windows. Try the Monkey Wrench Maple Ale. I am looking forward to returning here again.“

“Located off the centre of grand Gettysburg, in an old Confederate military hospital, this place is devoted to curing your thirst and hunger nowadays. Very friendly staff, decent pub food and reasonable beer brewed on location. Not very pricey. Taps only. Would definitely like to be back one day.“

“Small restaurant / bar right in the center of town. Service was pretty good even though the place seemed really busy. Selection is not bad - I think about 8 craft choices most of which were local / regional PA beers with seasonal options. We had burgers and wraps for lunch -- everyone was very pleased with the food. Pricing is good for beer and food. Overall, not a bad place, I would come back when in the area.“

“So this place gets bonus points for being in a Civil War era barn that was utilized as a war hospital and is now a brewery. Battlefield is located outside the main town area and offers an open floor plan. The floors are uneven, offering a glimpse of what used to be. The service is English pub style and there are bar grilled options or backyard BBQ. Their beers are refreshing after a day touring Gettysburg.“

“Nothing special, selection of brews could be better and can usually find something decent. Bartenders can be a little unfriendly and don’t know much about beer but the food is decent, good wings“

“Real Irish bar, the owners are from Ireland, nice to see Murphys on draft as well as the usual Guinness. Has some nice craft beers, can’t go wrong with a Rogue Dead Guy Ale on draft. Also good food. Can get a little tight in there but recently opened up stairs bar. One of the better places to go in Gettysburg.“

“Checked this place out after a movie nearby. Building seems to be a renovated barn, pretty neat. Parking is ample, service was the bar for beer on-tap and some bar food (soft pretzel, hot dog, quesadilla, etc). Beers were very solid, that evening also had live music (punk cover bands tonight). Overall great experience, will come here again.“

“This place is in central Gettysburg, and was crowded on Memorial Day weekend, but service was still prompt. Unfortunately, we sat at a table, and the server was not aware of the two craft beers on draft. So we chose one of the Troegs bottles, which was fine. The rest of the list was two bottles from Lancaster, and then a slew of Lite swill, which I guess they have to carry to cater to the tourists. But surely you can find some Pennsylvania beers that fit that bill??? Burgers looked good, but we had just eaten. So we had cheese sticks, which were actually won ton things, and not very good. Overall disappointed.“

“This is probably the most amazing brewpub building I’ve ever seen, a Pennsylvania Dutch barn built in 1844 and used as a Confederate field hospital during the battle of Gettysburg in 1863. How many brewpubs do you know that have their own artillery? Well, this one has a working one-pounder cannon. The beers are deilicious, and very creative for a just-opened pub, a total of six beers when we visited, plus interesting things in the fermenters. Brewer Daniel came from Rock Bottom in Pittsburgh, and he and his wife are the only two staff, at least for now. She puts together the locally smoked pulled pork, sausages, etc, served picnic or barbecue style, while he pours and schmoozes. What else can I say about this place? Oh, ample parking in the back. It’s worth going well out of your way to visit this place, I think they have a great future ahead of them.“

“Tough to find a place in Gettysburg besides ABC (which you can’t walk to from the downtown) .. this is on the main square ... sports bar with tons of TV’s, people watching and a solid menu ... has of course a civil war theme and the service was prompt and friendly ... the selection was of local PA micro and standard Yuengling Sam Adams .... the bottle list had more of a local PA micro selection ... the food was what really made its mark 12 burgers with different generals names and different toppings from areas of the country other than that wings, wraps, sandwiches a couple entree’s and salads rounded out the menu ... the food was good and the value was average ... its tough to find much micro around so besides the good food and local beer the convenient walking distance definitely makes this place appealing“

“This place looks like an Irish pub, the real McCoy. It has a lived in sort of feel that makes the place feel comfortable. They do have a few PA craft beers in addition to the Irish beers you would expect to find. They are one of the few places I’ve seen in the US that can actually pour a proper jar of Guinness. Yes they employ the two minute pint. They also care enough to give you a room temperature glass for your bottled beer. This kind of concern is somewhat rare for central PA. I would definitely go back to this pub, especially if their were a big soccer match I wanted to see.“

“visited in june 2011. didn’t hit the pub/shit hole/dive bar but the take away instead. ambiance is a step below a gas station but i was able to walk away with a half dozen beers i had never tasted... all decent. kinda pricy but i guess that is to be expected in these parts for breaking up a sixer of good brew. as a bonus , it is close to abc and a step in the right direction for this little town...“

“I had high hopes for this place but they were soon dashed as I entered. The place has the ambience of a bowling alley and they know nothing about beer. Rule number 1: If someone asks you for a beer menu, don’t tell them you also have crap like michelob ultra and coors light. People who want bmc crap don’t ask for beer menus. Rule Number 2: If someone orders a triple and that triple comes in a bottle, it’s redundant to ask them if they want a glass. Yes of course i want a glass. Rule number 3: If you bring me a glass could you please not give me one you just took out of the refrigerator. It’s bad enough the triple was 35 degrees but I don’t want the glass to be the same temperature as well. Clearly this place is trying to profit off of the craft beer movement. That’s fine just at least pretend you care about beer. The one plus for the place is that the had a take-out store where everything they sold could be bought as a make your own sixer.“

“Good, laid back atmosphere with quality service, food and they just now started offering craft beer. Over 50 now being served on premises and to carry out as mix your own sixpacks. They have a whole craft brew menu, describiing each beer and beer style. A good selection“
