“Visited the 1st November 2019, nice beer place out of London (can be hard to reach with transport). Nice micro pub with good beer range available. Cask available, price is really fair and staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.“

“Visited August 2019. Nice micro pub, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere.. Even with a few people inside it get rather noisy, which is a shame. Nice range of beers on tap, and a nice bottle / can selection as well.“

“Visited august 2019. Short walk along a river.. Nice mix of a country pub and a town pub.. assuming in the old days it would have been a stop for people travelling on the river.. Nice range of beers served in good condition. Friendly service.. Lovely large beer garden in the back.“

“A 2-3 minutes walk from the Dodo micropub. Lots of buses stop outside. A historical interior, 3 different areas in which to drink or eat their speciality pizzas. 2 real ales one from Trumans and one from Aylesbury Brew Co on my visit last night. Of about 20 keg lines 8 of them would be classed as "craft" beers, at a very reasonable £2 a half for Fourpure Saharan Sun a 6.1% blood orange saison! Well worth a pop in. “

“Visited on a busy Friday evening in June 2017. There is now a bottle selection to complement the cask beers, and I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of Weird Beard ones. Both staff members were friendly and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Worth a visit.“

“Update 2023 : Closed Mon+Tue. Usually 3 cask on stillage and 4 kegs plus a few cans. // 2017 : A typically cramped but friendly micro pub. There is a blackboard with beers of the day. Grab a seat as they take your order and serve you at your seat. Beers (4 to 5 depending on time of week) are all from stillage in a cold room at the back. Oversized glasses always welcome but hardly necessary as beer from stillage slightly on flat side! Many bus routes pass nearby. Beers are from micro breweries such as Redemption, Lancaster, Moncada, Kew Brew, etc. No kegs but they are considering getting some bottles.“

“Large off-licence which offers a decent range of beers, including some from Thornbridge, Brewdog, Kernel, Stone and Rochefort. Also has a few oddities from local brewers such as Long Arm and Enefeld and further afield such as Kees. If in West London worth a visit.“

“Good selection of bottles from an interesting range of brewers, nothing extraordinary but a few I’ve not seen in London before. Prices vary, obviously, but £2.50 to £4 seems typical.“

GREEN LANE,
“Visited on a hot summer’s afternoon when pretty much everyone was sat outside in the garden, which is a pleasant place to have a drink. As Boudicca says, this place does feel like the countryside. Service was very friendly with the barman offering his recommendations. I enjoyed my pint of West Berkshire. A good pub.“

“Street corner local which is just inside Hanwell. Reopened after a sympathetic refit having spent many years closed, and retains many of the original features. Distinct areas for drinking, child-free drinking and eating with a patio out the back. Beer selection is pretty good, with something from the local Weird Beard always on. Food is very good too. Well worth making the effort to visit.“

“A rather impressive neighbourhood boozer. Seven casks on the go with some local stuff like Sambrooks and Truman’s, and keg things like Twickenham, Camden, Weird Beard and Siren. Good range in bottles, too, with some Belgian stuff, Redchurch, other options from the aforementioned breweries. Average pricing, decent service. Great music, it’s worth noting - heavy on 50s/60s oldies during my Sunday afternoon visit. Nicely laid out pub - it looks like a lot of folks come here for meals. Certainly worth stopping in if you are nearby.“

“7 handpumps (6 ales and 1 real cider) and several keg lines. A beautiful old building in the middle of respectable housing. The ambiance would have got a higher rating if I did not have to tolerate a most unwitty idiot doing the weekly pub quiz (I could hear him a block away after I left which was sooner than planned) so avoid Monday evening! 3 rooms includes one for posh food dining the others are for drinkers. Beers included local breweries (Weird Beard, Aylesbury Brew Co, etc) as well as better known brands (Sharps, Truman, etc)“

GREEN LANE,
“A nice late Victorian / early Edwardian pub tucked away at the end of a lane by the canal lock at Hanwell – not easy to find but worth the effort. It almost feels like being in the countryside. They have eight hand pumps with regulars (Fullers London Pride, Timothy Taylor Landlord and Sharps Cornish Coaster) and guests. When I last visited there were a couple of Binghams beers from Reading. The food was good and the service was excellent. (Last visited 11 March 2013). “
