“This total wine was a great one to visit for me since I lack a lot of northern Florida ticks, and these guys do a pretty good job of keeping it regional. Lots of selection here from the area, and spent way more than I should have. Service was pretty trash, even at Total Wine levels. The woman at the register was not impressed when I rolled up with like 30 singles.“

“Visited downtown location after a trip to Amelia Island. Alex one the brewmasters was serving us. We tried three of his brews. All were excellent. Small three barrel operation. We purchased a quart can of the Star Schwarz. There was easy meter parking and a parking deck on the next block. They also serve beers from their location in Riverside. Flights were priced right for four.“

“Visited the brewpub prior to a game at Atlantic Coast HS. This is former WOB location. Good parking with outside seats and good room inside. The Brewery is a 3 barrel system. Green Room on Jax Beach share ownership. Some of the guest beers were from Green Room. The chicken strips and fries were excellent pub fare.“

“Wonderful brewpub for beer and food. This award-winning brewpub had a Citra Rye Pale Ale that was the best I have had. The food was excellent as well. The location is an industrial park with ample parking. At our lunch visit, we had excellent service. The brewpub has high ceilings with booths and high top tables.“

“Great place back in 2012-2013 but I hear it has fallen off and lots of new places have opened since. Probably still a great place to pop in and find randoms and rareities you may not find elsewhere in town. Typically they have one beer "expert" on staff, so if they're around you'll be in luck. Otherwise it's a great little locally owned natural store worth checking out.“

“Visited the brewery on a Saturday night when there were carol singing in the main room. Food was provided for sale for a fund raiser. The outside beer garden has tables with propane gas. The night was cool and the gas fires easily warmed you up. At our visit there was only a Pale Ale to sample.. Located on Main St with ample parking . The bartenders were excellent to work with you needed something.“

“After the dreadful Army -Navy game we visited two Brewerie in Jax. This one was very special. Nice mix of IPAs and a special Black IP.. Greg gave me a short tour of the 5 barrel system. The ales were excellent. Plenty of tables and a good crew serving you. The location is on Main Street and parking was not a problem. Purchased a quart of the Black IPA.“

“A world-class place with an unbelievably creative interior. There are two sections: one side feels like a sports bar, with lots of TV screens - ceilings decorated with tap handes; the other side hosts the beautiful bar, with the walls plastered with pennies. There is a downstairs Belgian beer bar as well, and additional upstairs seating overlooking the bar. An incredible number of taps, though I can't vouch for their freshness - apparently they all rotate every 2 weeks max. Flights of 4 available for $9-12, pretty sweet that they offer this with so many taps. Big food menu, with many vegetarian and a few vegan options. Priced very reasonably. Very friendly staff, despite the complaints I've heard from people - I imagine it can get super busy here and the service suffering as a result. All in all, a pretty awesome place.“

“Certainly the best brewery in town. The tasting room is very well-designed, with a beautiful walkway and back patio. A whopping 25 beers on tap, including many sours and BA sours, and other creative brews. Flights of 4 available for $8 (included tax), which includes all their sours (no upcharge). I enjoyed the sours and their imperial stouts, but their IPAs and other beers were quite flawed. Friendly service. Mandatory stop if in Jacksonville.“

“Expanded hours for this downtown location, so it's worth checking out if you're not in town on when the original location is open. Street metered parking available out front. A dozen taps, with flights of 4 for only $5. Beers were decent, but nothing special. Bartender serving us was incredibly friendly. Worth a stop.“

“Beautiful tasting room on the eastern part of downtown. It has its own parking lot, so no need to pay for street parking. Flights of 4 available, priced by the beer, most of which were $3 for a 5 oz pour. I liked the gose, but the big BA beers I had were all abrasive and difficult to drink. Staff were friendly. Not too special a place for beer quality, but it's a fun place to hang out.“

“With all the brewpubs in the Jax area, I found myself there on a Monday night when the breweries were mostly closed. Headed down to Kickbacks. Good choice. Steam punk, dark interior. Knowledgeable staff - I had the waitress surprise me with her best bang-for-buck IPA and she brought out Bell's Double. Food is very good, and reasonably priced. The fried stuff reminds you of the being at the fair - hot, crisp, fresh grease. Parking is easy, accessible, covered patio, street loitering etc. Nice little joint.“

“Visited here on Memorial Day '18 for lunch while passing through on vacation. Big high-ceiling place, lots of windows. Had about a dozen on tap, many styles, I had a long drive ahead of me so kept it light, but the two I had were excellent, a session IPA and a brown ale. Solid menu, sandwiches, pizza, wings, salads etc. My grilled chicken salad was very tasty. Service could have been just a tad more attentive, but was friendly. Nice new addition to the burgeoning Jax beer scene.“

“Storefront in one of the old neighborhoods. Nice bar area surrounded by tables. The brewer is one of those guys who is living the dream - beer brewing defines him, and it shows. All samples were very good to excellent quality. A friendly place with a warm ambiance. Definitely a bright future for this place.“

“Modern re-furbished warehouse with plenty of space for the bar and tables. Large door open for great fresh air ventilation. Mstly their own brews with a handful of guests. Flights are actually 5 oz pours priced according to the pint price of each beer. Food is snacks and light sandwiches, all good. Service is quick and reasonably pleasant.“

“Great place along the Goodby Creek. There is large area of picnic tables, dock and launching area for kayaks. This weekend beer will $3.00 per glass for the playoffs with Steelers and Jags. As you enter you can view the brewing operation. It has been opened for two years. The management is considering expanding with another location in the future. This location has been a success.“

“Visited November 2017 with some friends. Nicely lit new place, very clean and nice. Friendly and knowledgeable service - the owner and brewer was working, so basically could answer anything you wanted. They know my friends as they live around the corner, so service was very kind. Great beer - seems like they have a good thing going and a lot of potential!“

“Visited on a Thursday near dinner time. Located near downtown, close off the freeway in a light industrial, somewhat rundown part of town. Park kind of wherever nearby. They had a lot, though when I visited there was an alumni function that occupied the space. There is a bar and tables in the open area of the brewery, or there is also a pub sort of area built in the corner of the building. Access to both is from the exterior of the building. 9 house beers on draft, pours or growlers - I didn’t see any tasters on offer. In addition to the alumni event (Wake Forest) there was also an urban yoga class happening in the brewery. Weird place, quirky but fun.

70 = ★★½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited before dinner on a Thursday. Located near downtown, right next to the Maxwell House factory and near the Jaguars stadium. Parking is on the street or in a marked lot across the street under the freeway. Big tasting room with two levels and a bunch of outdoor seating. The second level, is open air with a huge deck that has great views. Beer selection is 12 house beers and 7 guests. Full drafts or a 4 beer you choose your own flight. Note - only house beers are available on the second level. Food menu is fun bar snacks and small plate menu. You pick up your own food at the window on the first level. Efficient service. I liked the layout of this place.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited late afternoon on a Thursday. Parking is in a gravel lot behind the brewery, you enter through a nice patio area that features several picnic tables. Interior is shiny and new, large with seating at the concrete bar or at high tops or tables around the edge of the room. Design has a lot of brick, pretty building. Music playing quietly, very chill. Great service, offered a sample without my having to ask which always appreciated. Selection is 24 house beers on draft with Oud Bruin bottles to go. 32 and 64 oz growler filled. Taster, choose your own flight, 4 pours for $8. Fun friendly after work crowd. Berliner I had was the best I have had in awhile.

82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited on a Wednesday evening. New shiny place with a big room as you walk in, with a large concrete bar, along with seating throughout the room. Top feature of the brewery is the big deck that leads down to a dock on the river. Beer selection is 20 beers on draft which included house beers and guests mixed in together. Mead and cider available on draft. $3 samples, $9 flights, Growlers available on most beers. Bottles available to go. Brewery visible in corner, looks like a big kit. Has potential for sure.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited after work on a Wednesday. Located inside of a Shell station near business parks and hotels. Beer selection is standard convenience store layout, though they do have one door dedicated to craft beer, which included 5 different Jacksonville breweries as well as Funky Buddha and Cigar City. Mostly the regular rotation, but it is cool they feature these beers. No singles available. This was nearby my hotel which fit the purposes, which is about it’s only use for beer hunting.

“New brewery in Jacksonville. The location is perfect with plenty of parking. Outside picnic tables and plenty of room inside. They have a large room with long tables to watch major sporting events. Another room with couches for a quieter venue while enjoying their beers .On our visit they had 26 beers to choose from. Their beers were above average.“

“Update 2: this place failed a bunch of health code insoections. Meat was unrefridgerated. Do not go! Update: I decided to give this place another shot a few weeks ago. Service was poor. Most beers on the list were not in. Then I recieved a beer I did not order because the one I asked for was out with out asking me if I wanted it. This place sucks. Old rate: Yeah, where to begin with this one? Well let’s start with the fact I sat at the bar, may not be the best choice with this place. It’s tough to interact with the bar tender. The taps block the whole bar so it’s tough to get their attention or hold even a modest conversation. Here was my view: http://i.imgur.com/mPbRNmw.png Anyway, the tap list was large... But I could not see it from my seat and it was not in a menu form either. Like having a 20 inch dick but keeping to a life of celibacy. I did not eat but the menu was expansive. The vibe the place gives off is cool, open brick, tap handles galore, dusty beer glass hanging from ceiling, cool. I had two beers, then decided I needed to go somewhere else. I may return, but will not go out of my way for it.“

“Small shop off of king street in the riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville. Extremely friendly service and very unintimidating atmosphere. It’s a small shop so you won’t find hundreds of beers, but everything they have is good stuff. You can find plenty of great local beer as well as some beers that are hard to get in the area. They also let you sit down and have a pint of beer off tap, or they can fill a growler to-go. You can definitely "nerd out" here if you want. One of my favorite shops in the area.“

“Modern interior, 20 beers on top when I visited, no flights were offered because it was a game night (damn football), rudimentary food menu, burger was tasty if pricey for JAX, all beers tried were competent if unexceptional <sports fans make crappy craft beer drinkers - ’can I have run and coke and gin and tonic? “Just visited at opening time (10 AM) to grab some bottles to go and I was pleased with the selection and the service. I was the only patron in the place, but the cozy little bar area and the dining area looked very comfortable. Menu looked good as well. Prices were reasonable and the 250+ to-go bottle selection was enough for me to grab 12 or so regionals that I hadn’t had before.“

“came here for lunch with the wife. one of those order at a counter and sit down and they bring the food to you. has a decent sized bar in the back corner. 44 beers, 12 "domestics" which were mostly crafty, 20 local florida beers, and another 12 "imports." The service from the bar tender was below average. The pizza was really good. I will try again, but if its a similar expirance this will not a be a regular stop for me.“

“Been open for a few months but began releasing their own brewed beers. First, the place is fairly large, modern. Good sized bar area and seating inside and sizeable out door covered deck. Had about 24 taps. My two beers (IPA and berliner weisse) were pretty solid. Food menu a good size and everything we ordered was good. Hopefully they are consistant because this appears to be a solid place.“

“Visited Kickbacks for the first time on Saturday. I read about it in Draft Magazine as one of the top 100 in the nation. It truly deserves that designation. The steampunk-esque atmosphere is off the charts. Everywhere you look in the place is just cool as hell. We had great service from Erica when we visited and one of the owners (Steve) was extremely accommodating - you can tell that everyone there is just into it. The selection covered the major styles and, if you’re slightly spoiled like I am, you’ll still find something good on the menu. Food and value were very good. Overall, this is the hippest, coolest craft beer establishment I’ve been to. Very impressed!“

“Visited here in late June while on the way home on a business trip. Very similar to other newer Whole Foods I have been to recently. Have a bar area with about eight or so regionals and national craft on tap. Beer section is pretty solid, have a special section set aside just for sours. Have decent singles selection. Plenty of sixers, bombers and 750 mls to choose from, local, regionals and national craft selection as well as a solid selection of imports. Food as always at any Whole Food is expensive but superb,“
