“Visited on a Sunday August afternoon in 2015. A short walk from Lye station this pub has Lye by-pass to cross which is good if you’re a fan of playing chicken with traffic. Once made it safely across the pub has a nice decked area outside, inside the tables were laid up for dinner and there were high stools and tables to sit at so could’ve been a little more comfy. Good range of Sadler’s beer available including a ginger beer all by itself at the left hand side of the bar. They have specials here too. All the beer was well kept and the staff were good. Nice place to stop off and drink some beer. Sadler’s also have a tap house which is only a few mins walk away for the completists out there.“

“Visited on the infamous RB Black Country Blow Out - 6th July ’13. Medium to large sized boozer with one main room and a couple of side rooms that were kitted out for diners. Tap house for the Sadlers brewery so a good 7 or 8 on cask with a nice range of styles including a DIPA. Most of the beers were pretty tasty and all in good nick. Service was prompt and friendly. There is a large courtyard out the back catering for smokers. Moderately busy at 4pm and certainly buoyed by our presence - would probably have scored 3 on ambiance had we not swelled the numbers a little! If you’re doing a Black Country crawl as we were this is a must visit venue!“

“Visited this pub during the RateBeer Black Country Bus Bash. Solid spot, plenty of good casks options showcasing a range of styles. Numerous beers available from Sadler’s. Pleasant ambiance, friendly service, good value. Well worth a visit.“

A stylish, comfortable and characterful pub – the tap house for Sadler’s brewery. The Windsor Castle has a wide range of Sadler’s ales, and most of the ones I tried were rather good. The pub is quite foody, with a couple of small dining rooms, but the main bar is mainly for drinking. There isn’t a lot of seating apart from a few high tops and a couple of squashy sofas but it has a bright and modern feel with a flagstone floor, hops festooning the walls and a few tasteful decorations such as an old trombone and cornet. There’s also a small patio outside next to the brewery yard. (Visited 6 July 2013).“

“A modern sort of a pub - cool and airy. Which on the hot day we visited was very welcome. Decent range of cask beers - some of which were very good indeed. Definitely worth seeking out if you are in the region.“

“Visited during the Ratebeer Black Country Bash. Really large place located just off a main road. The interior was pretty modern, not as comfortable as the other places I visited in the area. The large cask selection focussed mostly on Sadlers beers. The beers were of good quality, and thankfully represented a wide range of styles (even a DIPA!). Prices were fair. Overall, worth a detour.“

“Large and spacious pub just off the town centre, plenty of choice of the Brewpubs beers plus some extra local choices. All in good nick. Very good.“

“Has the feel of a wine bar slash gastro pub rather then a brewhouse. Modern and spacious. I’m here on a Wednesday and its packed. A few bottles, Goose Island ipa and the like available too. Beer in good nick.“

“Quite a spacious, freshly done up (or so it would appear) boozer, with multi rooms, all decked out for relaxed noshing. On the bar they have a range of about 10 Sadlers beers on tap, including the delicious Hop Bomb (when I was there). Lye is famous for it’s excellent balti houses, so this would be ideal for a late night drinking location, interspersed with some curry. It’s equally good as a stop on the Stourbridge to Brum run which I did this afternoon. Lovely.“
