“This brew-pub, which is located just off the main street and is easily walked to through narrow streets and alleys, is on a green space that offers relaxing views. The staff were, in true brew-pub style, very welcoming and friendly and only to happy to explain their list of brews. There is indoor seating (more sports bar style) as well as open air seating out front. The tap list, which is around 30 (mostly their own brews plus a few Italian craft brewers as guest), is on large boards behind the bar. On the walls there are also smaller informative posters that explain some of the popular beers (diagramatically and written - if you can read Italian). The smallest glass size was 330 ml (they also do a 500 ml) with prices in the €4-6/330ml range. All of the Ballarak beers I had were fresh and tasty. A great place and a must visit if you like/want a tasty craft beer.“

“Nice little place in a square along with other bars. Seats available mainly outside. We could only get local beers in bottles (The Brews Brothers).“

“Supermarket chain which focuses on organic and high-quality local Sicilian products with a good beer selection for an Italian supermarket. Nice shop to go for some Sicilian food (try Sfincione from the shop counter!) as well as Italian craft beers and craft beers from varoius other countries for reasonable prices.“

“Visited August 2021. Craft bar located close to Teatro Massimo. Good place for craft beer, craft cider and wine. No taps available, only bottles and cans. Owner is very friendly and English speaking, snacks are for free (capers, peanuts, crisps, focaccia) and refilled instantly. Prices are normal for Palermo (start at 5 EUR). Nice selection, mostly Italian crafts as well as some Belgians and French ciders. Best place in Palermo, despite no taps available.“

“Visited July 2021. Located in a dirty and loud neighbourhood outside somewhere in Palermo. Few Italian beers on tap, lot more bottled as well as foreign stuff. Bar itself is clean as expected, staff is not too welcoming but nice enough. Pricing is again quite expensive, but normal here. Music is old school hard rock. Good place, but I would not recommend to sit outside, since it’s pretty loud, dirty and the air is full of exhausts.“

“Visited July 2021. Located a bit outside of the old town, nearby a park. Overwhelming selection of Italian crafts, from tap and bottle. Many of them unknown for me. However, the Ballarak beers were really good, they be become more known around Europe! Staff is very nice and helpful, speaks English as well. Prices are at 5 to 6 Euros, high for Sicily, probably normal for craft here. Maybe the best place in Palermo.“

“Visited July 2021. Located in a relatively quite neighbourhood of Palermo, less crowded then other areas for sure. Nice and not crowded place. Selection is Italian craft only, currently mostly beers on draft from Hammer, but also bottled and canned beers from other Italian brewers available. The owner is nice, helpful and speaks English well. Prices are a bit high for Sicily, all beers are 5 EUR, bottles for take away are 4 EUR. Also food (Pinsa) possible to order for 5 EUR. Nice place and a good place to visit when in Palermo.“

“Visited early evening on Saturday 1st August 2020. This place is easy to find, slightly outside the main centre of Palermo and on a nice stretch of restaurants and bars overlooking a big green space and old buildings. There is a reasonable seating area outside. Inside the beer list is shown on big boards above the bar and is an impressive 30 taps. Many of the Ballarak beers, plus Italian guests and a fantastic selection. Smallest size is 330ml, which was a bit of a problem as I rushed down 5 including BIPA, DIPA, IPA, Sours, whilst I had the opportunity waiting for the wife and kids pre dinner. All beers were good quality, especially the ones from Ballarak. The brewer and his wife were also there for a drink, very nice chap, who even kept my seat for me, whilst I went to fetch my family. Overall worth a visit and the best place I have been to in the city for Craft Beers“

“Passing by way to Stout Beer Shop and Pub, glanced in and saw a bank of taps on the bar. Checked it out and went back later. Very friendly, (allowed tasters), and chatted with us. It's a small burger cafe bar but with a good local feel to it. Beers nice and not too pricey; happy to recommend it.“

“A good walk out of the town centre but worth it. Lots of choice of beers, and an English handpump waiting for first cask beer to arrive (the following week, we were told. Language was a problem - I asked for a stout - none on tap. Staff member brought a small bottle of 12% Tiramisu stout out but it was my first drink so I said later ... only to see him pouring it for me! Well it was gorgeous, of course ... but the round was the most expensive of anywhere we had been to. that and partner's small beer came to 13.50 Euros!!!“

“Pleasant bar, just off Via Roma, close to Lidl. A good range of tap beers listed on chalkboard. Happy hour Mon, Wed, Thurs - two large Forst for the price of one. (4 euros) . We visited three times during the week. Music a bit loud one night so we sat outside. We especially enjoyed the stronger beers. Nibbles on the bar, too. Beers better value by the larger glass. Typically 5 euros for 30cl and 6 euros 50cl.“

“A very nice beer place in the centre of Palermo. Around 12 beers on tap, 8 o 9 from Italian Craft Breweries and the other from Belgium, Germany, etc...interesting selection. Also has a fridge with Cantillon and some other good beers! Service is friendly, maybe the music a little bit up, prices are around 5 euros the small and 6 EUR the pint. A great place to enjoy good Italian craft beer!“

“Small wine bar near Teatro Massimo, with tables outside. Four taps (two were Chimay, I recall), but a fridge full of craft beers, going from local ones to Rogue, to other Italians like Maltus Faber (Genova) or Flying Dog. Nice environment, good service, good prices.“

“Visited on Wednesday evening, 04/10/17, around 20.00. Located just off via Roma at the central station end of Roma, this venue way exceeded my expectations. Modern and clean with indoor and outdour bench seating the venue holds about 80 folks in total. You can enter from the front or the side to the outside seating and the bar is located in the right hand corner dispensing 12 taps of Italian (including Sicilian) micros. These taps are displayed on a large chalk board opposite the bar and are also supplemented by a sizeable bottle range perhaps running to 70 or more. Again these are largely Italian craft with one of the fridges dedicated to Sicilian brewers. Some other beers from around the world including a number of Tilquin offerings. Beer on tap is in the form of 0.3 or 0.5 litres and cost €4/5 for the smaller pours and €6/8 for the larger ABV dependent. Service was very friendly and they are happy to offer tasters. The place was doing a good trade during our stay with a largely young local crowd .... there was one other group from England in search of good beer. About 15 minutes after we arrived at large platter of free food was put out ... meats, cheeses, pizza slices, olives etc ... nice touch. There appeared to be an Eastside brewery (Roma) take over on my visit taking on some 8 of the 12 taps ... unless this is a regular outlet for them? Overall a great little set up and I can't imagine anywhere else will beat this in Palermo which is still in its craft beer infancy.“

“Visited during the afternoon of 03/10/17. Expected to have to add this place but when I got back to the hotel I noticed the useless no text review, which was initially scrolled past and not taken on board offering nothing to the earnest place rater... guessing the beer range has improved since then as a 54 doesn't do this place justice in my opinion. Wine bar primarily but with 4 beers (Belgian staples) on tap and a fridge carrying 30 or so Italian craft offerings with a few Sicilian locals included. Had a few tasty wines with a cheese and meat platter to kick off then went onto beers, typical price for a 330ml Craft beer was E7 to drink in and the beers were all fresh and well in date. Service was prompt and friendly. We sat on the terrace out the front which was covered from the sun and had a mix of high stool seating next to large wine barrels allied to conventional 4 to a table set up. Indoors was pretty small and had 4 stools against the bar. Beer prices were OK but the wine and food were a good price in comparison. Solid stop and a good choice of Italian wide beers over differnt styles offered including some 750's @E20+.“

“Visited on the evening of Sunday, 1st October 2017. Located near the the newer part of the city centre just of via Roma, we drove past this bar as it was one block away from our hotel as I noticed a good display of wines on the wall. We returned a few hours later and found 3 Ok beers on tap (including a local lager and a dopplebock) but more so a dozen or more Italian craft offerings including some from Sicily .. Bruno Ribadi (I was the first person to rate one of their beers) for one. The place carries a chill vibe with a small room that would seat perhaps 15 to 20 and more outside seating around its corner plot perhaps accomodating the same. Decor is clean, modern with a kind of nautical theme going on with a section of an old boat against the wall. Service was great ... super friendly, decent enough English and happy to recommend local stuff. There was no menu as such other than a 10 Euro food taster which was great. They choose a beef dish for us which was really tasty ... rolls of beef filed with cheese. In addition to food and drink (to eat in or to go) they also sell Sicilian food produce an some books and clothes. A great vibe and a great find and only the 8th RB venue for a big city like Palermo !“

“+++ENG+++The pub isn’t located into a touristic area, so you don’t have ancient buildings around but the pro is that you can easily park your car. Service is very nice, two guys serving will provide you any info you ask about the beers. Also have wines and spirits, 4 beers on tap and very wide choice of bottles, also to take away - it works as a beer shop as well. +++ITA+++Il pub è in una zona residenziale e non turistica, dove è più facile parcheggiare se si è in auto. Il servizio è gradevole, i ragazzi danno tutte le spiegazioni su richiesta dei clienti. Oltre a 4 spine e un sacco di birre - da portar via a prezzo minore (e temperatura ambiente) - serve anche vini e liquori.“

“***ENG*** Very nice place located in a heart beating point of the city. Modern furniture, huge choice of bottles, several taps, 8 at least if i do remember well. Tables in and outside. One of the few places where to drink excellent craft beers in Palermo. ***ITA*** Posto molto carino situato nel cuore pulsante del centro storico. Arredamento moderno, tavoli dentro e fuori dal locale, vasta gamma di bottiglie, diverse spine, 8 o forse più se non vado errato. Uno dei pochi posti a Palermo dove poter bere birre artigianali di un certo rilievo.“

“Visited on 30th May 17. Had the draft Spillo Black, a good stout and a bottle of Granda Black IPA, also excellent. Took an Epica away. Food was not great, other beers in the fridge, too many Belgian, but good if you went for that, I would have liked a selection of more Sicilian beers.“

“Visited 30th May 17. This place is a 10 euro taxi side out from the centre, but worth the visit. The area looks a little shabby, and I was getting concerned, having the wife and kids in tow, however the bar itself is great, clean and well presented, modern. We sat outside and watched the madness of the Italian streets and driving chaos. There were 4 or 5 beers on tap and all Italian except for a Lindemans Faro. The tap beers were very good. Wine for my wife and crisps for the kids. The bottle selection was large, Italian for sure, less local Sicilian, then a varied European bunch. I picked up LoverBeer beers, a few from Hammer, Killer Queen, Lariano. All beers were 5 euros to go, except LoverBeer 10 euros and 18 for a rarer one. Worth the visit for sure .“

“A modern place tucked inside some of the most classical places; the brewpub activity unfortunately doesn’t work much (their beer is not always available). They sell therefore other beers, with a few good bottles, Belgians, and enough Italians (Brewfist overall). Good service.“

“The area is rustic and quite lively in the evenings. They had a change of owner in 2011 or 2012, they don’t have anymore the Palormita brewed on contract; the list is reduced to a few Belgian beers.“

“I visited this place once as a tourist back in October 2009. It is easy to miss in the daytime when it’s closed as there’s basically only one door with shutters marking the entrance. In the evening it’s another thing however. They have tables lined up outside and people enjoy snacks as well as beer in the mild Sicilian climate. The ambience is let down a little however by the frequent traffic of youngsters on mopeds in the area. We had a few beers and I noticed that their selection is especially strong in the Belgian department. The other thing that sets this place apart is the fact that they sell their own beer - an organic blonde under the name "Panormita". I did not have the occasion to test the staff’s knowledge of beer but I experienced the service to be attentive and quick and the prices were not outrageous. I would definitely visit this place again were I to return to Palermo.“
