76 /100 Shades Bar and Grill (Restaurant) 10952 E COUNTY HWY 30A Visited twice during a trip, once for late night beers, the other for lunch with the family. Located in Inlet Beach, on the edge of Rosemary Beach. Big parking lot in front, big restaurant with large bar area, Availability and parking are in short supply in this area, and Shades has both. Also of note is that Shades is open until 1am and serves food late, another rarity in the area. indoor seating and a large patio. Food menu is a mix of pub food and seafood, and all the food I had was great. Beer selection is 30 or so drafts, great mix of local, regional and national craft. The daytime crowd was tourists and a few locals, late night crowd was definitely local after work crowd, in both cases good vibe. Along with Beach and Brews on 30A these were the craft beer places to hit in the immediate Rosemary Beach area. (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
64 /100 CK Feed & Supply Provisions & Gifts (Beer Store) 31 MAIN STREET Visited midday on a Tuesday. Small upscale grocery featuring local food and gifts. They had a bunch of local and regional singles available and are located right in the heart of Rosemary Beach. Certainly worth a stop if you are shopping and eating in Rosemary Beach. (Just ok) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
64 /100 Kwiker Liquor - #2 (Beer Store) 23028 PANAMA CITY BEACH PKWY Visited on a Friday afternoon at the start of a family beach week on 30A. Located on the west side of Panama City Beach right off of 98, next to a Publix. Layout is a standard liquor store layout, with sections for liquor, beer and wine. Everywhere is very cramped, aisles are exactly as wide as the small shopping carts. Solid local selection immediately to the right upon entering. I didn't see any singles available, though there was a Growler station tucked behind the packaged beer. Didn’t need any help, though olks working the register were friendly. Good stop to stock up or the beach. (Just ok) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
62 /100 Kwiker Liquor - #2 (Beer Store) 23028 PANAMA CITY BEACH PKWY Much the same as the last two reviews would indicate, except that the single selection has evidently taken a severe slide in the last four years. Apart from a handful of bombers and some Euro imports, not many singles are to be had. Service was unwilling to split the 4 and 6 packs, but was otherwise friendly. If your buying in quantity though, there’s a good selection of regional brews to be found. |
68 /100 The Craft Bar - a Florida Gastropub (Restaurant) 15600 PANAMA CITY BEACH PKWY SUITE 180 Connected to Wine World, these two places are an oasis of decent beer choices in the craft beer desert of NW Florida. Despite the mundane strip mall locale, the brick-laden interior is very fitting. They have 30 taps (including 2 nitro) with a mix of some regional and quality imports, along with some more "ordinary" but quality craft (ie, Sierra Nevada). The food plates are big and tasty. The service was a bit aloof, but no complaints overall. |
54 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 In the vast beer wasteland of NW Florida, this is about the only place I've found that offers some regional craft options and maybe a few singles of things that may be unusual for out of towners. Nothing epic here, but good for the area. |
64 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 Small shop, next door to the Craft bar. The beer is in the back, and not very well laid out. The employees tried to be helpful, but weren't too friendly. The prices are very high, but I think that's standard near the beach. Good selection for the area, but nothing great. |
76 /100 The Craft Bar - a Florida Gastropub (Restaurant) 15600 PANAMA CITY BEACH PKWY SUITE 180 Nice layout, a good place to watch a football game - has a huge screen with lounge area. Bar is nice, laid back vibe. Small patio. Charcuterie board is good meat, but no cheese/olives/nuts on it. Poutine is flaccid, but tasty. Very accessible, easy parking, adjacent to Chan's Wine World, so it's definitely a two-birds/one stone sort of stop if you're in PCB for the weekend. Service is good, *when they're paying attention to you* - they get busy and chatty with customers. |
8 /100 Mellow Mushroom - Panama City Beach (Restaurant) 8746 THOMAS DR This location closed in April 2017. |
82 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 Been a few times now, but eating May 2017 after another visit. I hit this location once or twice a year because of gigs. Good place, similar to the other Chan’s, including a Craft Bar next door. Great beer selection for the area. The Chan’s in Destin has way more, but this place still has a ton of good stuff. Worth a stop if in the area! |
82 /100 Bricks & Barley Pizza (Restaurant) 3900 MARRIOTT DRIVE Starting with the beer, they have an impressive selection of single bottles and cans in large, multi-rack coolers. Huge selection of FL brewers including Funky Buddha and Cigar City. Most things are 12oz bottles or cans but they do have some bombers. All of their taps were FL local brews but nothing crazy. Nice selection of wine too. This is hands down the best pizza in Panama City and the Beach. Wonderful dough and toppings perfectly cooked. Their sandwiches and salads are also great. On a weekday you will have no wait but they are packed from lunch until sundown on the weekends. Tucked away in the back of the resort near the marina but nice views. Kids welcome. |
92 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 If this store rates a 50 I’d love to see a 75!
Anyway I’m a regular in many stores in the area. The people that work here are friendly and fairly knowledgeable from my experience. Only spot with a better selection is probably the Wine World in Destin- but for imports this one is it.
As for the new location, I miss the taps in the old one (not the milk jug "growlers" though) but there is the Craft Bar next door for draft now and they do crowlers. The current spot has a larger selection packed into less space. They have tons of Prairie, Mikkeller, Cascade, Ballast Point, Fat Head’s, Dogfish etc and a great can selection.
The last time I was in they had Prairie Apple Brandy Noir 2 bottle per person limit right on the shelf. This is the best store in PCB without a doubt.

50 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 Rerate Have moved down the street since I last visited and shrunk in size, Just an ordinary liquor store now with a few regional bombers and some imports. Original 60 Visited here in August ’12 - have actually had numerous beers from here as my wife always stops by here when she is in PC Beach. Wide open layout with not a lot of decor, has kind of a warehouse feel to it. Seem to have more imports than American micros. No singles that I could see. Have about 10 beers on tap - would have partaken - but had a two hour drive ahead of me. Did not blow me away with their selection, but then again my wife had already picked up almost everything I had not had on previous visits. Probably the best selection in PC, worth a visit if in the area. |
68 /100 Fishale Taphouse and Grill (Restaurant) 7715 FRONT BEACH RD Visited here on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend 2016. Converted Sizzler-type steakhouse it appears. Has a dining area and a large bar, plenty of TVs with sports playing. Have a large selection of Florida and Alabama beers, many of which I had never seen before. A few we asked for were out, perhaps they should go with an electronic menu? Anyway, an ample selection. Food was seafood centric and decent. Service was prompt and friendly. |
80 /100 The Craft Bar - a Florida Gastropub (Restaurant) 15600 PANAMA CITY BEACH PKWY SUITE 180 Visited here in early September ’16 Labor Day weekend. Nice modern looking place, high ceilings, lots of polished metal, light wood, Plenty of seating either in a living room conversation pit-like area up front, or the bar area in the back. Plenty of TVs hanging on the walls. Have a solid rotating selection of craft, numbering about 30 or so. Many regionals, a few nationals. Some new ones from M.I.A. and Coastal Empire and Oskar Blues I had not seen before. Available in 4 oz tasters, 10 oz, pints or to go Crowlers. The crowlers were priced the same as the pints. Solid, friendly service. Food was gastro-pub style, I had a cup of gumbo and fish tacos and they were excellent. Pretty solid place. |
64 /100 Kwiker Liquor - #1 (Beer Store) 9956 HUTCHISON BLVD Well the once mighty sure have fallen. The owner decided to change the focus to something other than craft beer. Last time I was there it still had some good taps but the bottle selections is gone. Distributors have told me the place has lost any opportunity to get any type of special kegs..period. That means no special DFH or Founders kegs. Oh well..if you want a biker bar with crappy macro this is the place for you now. Such a shame. |
84 /100 Buster’s Beer and Bait (Bar) 5900 THOMAS DR I am a Busters fan even thought the score is lower than you think. I give it that because it is a setting not all will like. It is a bar in a liquor store. The owner is a great dude and bartender Brooke on Thursday is super nice. The slot ion and pricing is great. Sometimes they have real Good music for free outside. The crowd can get a little drunk at times and the food is a bit over priced. But a good solid dive bar. |
80 /100 Shades Bar and Grill (Restaurant) 10952 E COUNTY HWY 30A Nice interior. Decent selection of beers, generally a nice crowd and friendly staff. The only knock is they could lower their beer prices by $1.00 and food items by $2.00. You are paying the higher prices because it is close to high priced 30a. |
76 /100 Kwiker Liquor - #2 (Beer Store) 23028 PANAMA CITY BEACH PKWY How has it taken me over a year to stop here? Outstanding selection of Euro stars but also some local and regional unique offerings. Just about everything is offered as a single. They do have about 6 taps for pints or growlers but no superstars while I was there. Very unassuming location by a Publix. I can’t wait to stop here again. Very fair prices for PCB especially on smaller format singles. |
100 /100 Carousel Supermarket (Grocery Store) 19440 FRONT BEACH RD The best wine selection on the coast and the friendliest staff. Absolutely the best overall prices and while its a tad far to drive from town to the west end of the beach it is well worth the trip. Love this store... |
80 /100 ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 11699 PANAMA CITY BEACH PKWY This is a brand new ABC location on Back Beach road a little separated from the PCB Pier Park craziness. My main reason for rating this is because the staff is wonderfully nice and helpful. The beer manager is constantly trying to order new things focused on local breweries. Plus they also have a 12 barrel growler system. Due to FL law they can currently only fill 32oz growlers, not the standard 64oz bottles. Great stop in PCB and prices are fair considering the beach location. |
70 /100 Fishale Taphouse and Grill (Restaurant) 7715 FRONT BEACH RD Plenty of parking, clean, a rehabbed steak house. Lots of parking, but there’s that over-paved Panama City Beach thing going on. Lots of taps. Services was knowledgeable and friendly. Prices were OK. Not as many Florida regionals as I would have expected, but there was some Cigar City and Swamphead. |
90 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 Decent selection, they have 15 beers on tap, doesn’t do growlers but sales 32 ounce to go containers. Awesome being able to have a pint as you walk around and browse, have great selection of wine and liqueur. And the staff are pretty knowledgeable on their beer. Definitely need to stop in if your in the area! |
84 /100 Fishale Taphouse and Grill (Restaurant) 7715 FRONT BEACH RD Stopped here to kill some time during a Sunday happy hour and ended up staying for 3 beers. Very friendly folks behind the bar who let you try anything. I think about 65 taps plus bottles. The taps were a good mix of local and larger breweries. I guarantee they have something you haven’t tried like some of the contract brews that CCB makes. Didn’t try the food but other people raved about the tuna spring rolls. Great prices especially for PCB. I will definitely be back. Best bar for craft beer that I have seen around here. |
56 /100 1151 BAYVIEW AVE Sitting on the back during the off-season times is very nice. It’s quiet and we can share an appetizer or two and relax. Outside of that..well...not too much to crow about. Entrees are expensive, but not worth the price. Beer selection is the usual macro swill and a lineup of Sweetwater beers badged with Ernie’s names. Get the picture? |
82 /100 Buster’s Beer and Bait (Bar) 5900 THOMAS DR Gotta love Busters. Small bar inside with seating inside/outside. His taplist gets better and better each time I stop by. Pricing is outstanding. Tell me...where else can you go to get a pint of Founders Impy Stout for $3 during happy hour? Some folks won’t find it flashy enough and that’s fine with me.....it’ll make it easier to find a seat! Great place to go for a brew after work! |
56 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 Used to be pretty good, but now that the old staff has been removed it’s sorta going down hill quickly. If you need to grab a decent brew when heading out of town then it’s worth a quick stop. The taplist is hit/miss, but this place has lost serious ground to Qwiker Liquor. |
72 /100 Fishale Taphouse and Grill (Restaurant) 7715 FRONT BEACH RD Beer selection is good with plans to double it. Friendly bartenders. The bar smelled a little like stale beer. The food was okay and a little pricey. The beers during non specials are a little high, but they do run a decent amount of specials. The place is okay but needs a little excitement,,, music, tv’s to compete with the more modern joints. |
84 /100 Mellow Mushroom - Panama City Beach (Restaurant) 8746 THOMAS DR I am re rating this place as they redid the inside and addressed a lot of the issues I had before witht the tv’s, bar etc. now more beers, nicer decor , atmosphere etc. Kudos to them. I am a big fan of Mellow Mushrooms in general. |
74 /100 Kwiker Liquor - #2 (Beer Store) 23028 PANAMA CITY BEACH PKWY Visited here in late November ’13. Local liquor store in a strip mall close to the beaches. Right when you walk in you are greeted with two open coolers full of bombers and singles. Plenty of regional micros and some west coast favorites. Plenty of six packs available as well. All the common imports were available. Behind the counter there are six taps for 32 oz growler fills of a few locals and one or two common craft. Prices were reasonable. Will be back when in the area. |
72 /100 Shades Bar and Grill (Restaurant) 10952 E COUNTY HWY 30A Visited here most recently in November ’13. Busy sports bar with plenty of TVs and a decent selection of taps - was told there were 36 in total. Lots of regional craft selections, a few common imports, all the common macros, some rotating seasonals . Good sports bar menu with burgers, wraps, wings, some seafood, etc. Good place to grab a bit to eat and catch a game. |
52 /100 Beach Liquors (Beer Store) 2423 THOMAS DR If this is an affiliated with the Crestview location, they should try to keep their variety.
Found a over month old out a date enjoy by there...hummmm. |
76 /100 Fishale Taphouse and Grill (Restaurant) 7715 FRONT BEACH RD Best beer bar in the area. Good for local Floridian and gulf beers. |
88 /100 Mellow Mushroom - Panama City Beach (Restaurant) 8746 THOMAS DR We stopped in here while on vacation. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, very good selection of beers, and the pizza was absolutely delicious!!! I would good back if I’m ever in the area again. |
96 /100 Fishale Taphouse and Grill (Restaurant) 7715 FRONT BEACH RD Love this place always rotating the beer and always carries hard to find beers. cheers |
66 /100 Hofbräu Beer Garden (Restaurant) 701 PIER PARK D, STE 155 Ok. Fake touristy permanence garden. Exactly what should be expected for the location. The beers were limited and the quality was not exceptional. Had a Reuben. It was a little above average. |
64 /100 Carousel Supermarket (Grocery Store) 19440 FRONT BEACH RD Its a grocery store with a small beer section (massive wine section). The variety was better than the other bottle shop I rated in the area. So, considering this is only a mile away from where I am staying, this is the new go to. Its not great, but it is the best the area has to offer. They have dope steak though. |
60 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 Stop by this place while on vacation as this was the highest rated in all of PCB. I had higher expectations. The shelfs were about 70% imports, but most of those were quite dusty and I didn’t feel like taken a stab at a beer when it could be 3 years old. The coolers with not even close to full and most of the domestics were pedestrian. The highlight was being able to drink a fresh Sculpin with walking around. In the end, I would just suggest bringing your own beer with you while on vacation in PCB. Staff was super nice though. |
74 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 Nice staff. Ok selection. Lots of potential but they are not fully set up yet. 8/10 good selection s on tape. |
88 /100 Fishale Taphouse and Grill (Restaurant) 7715 FRONT BEACH RD Great spot with friendly service. Food was great. Tap line was huge. Selection was very good but fairly standard crafts and locals. |
42 /100 Hofbräu Beer Garden (Restaurant) 701 PIER PARK D, STE 155 this place is for tourist who dont realy come for a good beer but just to say they were here.very over priced and you can get better food from a freezer.the staff knows as much about beer as I do about brain surgery.if you are in PCB go to fishale tap house it is worth the trip.I live on the beach here and this is the worst place to go for a beer. |
78 /100 Fishale Taphouse and Grill (Restaurant) 7715 FRONT BEACH RD large selection of beers and the food is not to bad(after 11 years in upscale kitchens I should know)we visit this place often as I only live a half mile away.give it a try you will be glade you stoped by.the beer tastings are a great value and a great time. |
58 /100 1151 BAYVIEW AVE Nice harbor view with very spacious interior and deck seating. Prices were a medium to high. Service was sporadic and couldn’t tell you much other than the tap line. Food was rather good. Might be worth a visit again with limited craft options. |
62 /100 Hofbräu Beer Garden (Restaurant) 701 PIER PARK D, STE 155 Off-shoot of the Hofbrauhaus in a mall area of Panama City Beach. Pretty cool German atmosphere with live German polka music. The beer and food looked pretty overpriced, but we went at happy hour + they had a sale on their seasonal beer (I’m guessing to make room for the Oktoberfest beer), so it wasn’t too bad at that time. |
70 /100 Kwiker Liquor - #1 (Beer Store) 9956 HUTCHISON BLVD I like that there is a decent selection of singles. The staff was helpful and friendly. |
74 /100 Chan’s Wine World - Panama City Beach (Beer Store) 15600 #180 Best selection in PCB. Typical package store. They did have growlers. Sweet! Plastic growlers Suck! Beer went flat immediately.
