“Nice located place, close to Warnow River. Good ambience, nice decoration. Some German beers: Rostocker and other local beers were available. Food is really nice, mainly seafood but also meat. Not bad“

“Nice cosy old-style bar/restaurant. Fritz has 3 beers on tap, all from Störtebeker. On offer when I was there was a schwarzbier, a Kellerbier and a pils. I tired the schwarzbier and the pils and both were really fresh. A nice place for a beer on a hot and sweaty summer’s day!“

“This brauhaus is located in a fairly quiet part of Rostock right next to a park. We sat on the patio overlooking the park on a nice and sunny day. They had three of their own beers on and the Wildsau was pretty good, while the others were pretty average.“

“Visited on a Friday night in July 2015, situated down by the harbour this is a huge multi roomed maze of a place. Very traditional inside with nice decoration and murals in the wall, vaulted roof, steel beams and rivets. Gives it an under the arches feel. Service good. Great beer selection. Definitely one to visit.“

“Huge modern brewpub visited on a Friday evening in July 2015. Next to Zoo team stop it has a large garden and windows all the way round so you can watch the world go by. Modern but does diff the hat to traditional brewpub as features wood everywhere. 3 beers on offer although annoyingly seasonals on menu all year round. Hefe weiss was bottle only. Food was good, prices ok. Service was slow, haxe took 45 mins.“

“Place is nice. 3 brews - two regulars (light & dark) + one seasonal. All are OK, but no sensations.“

“Very good one. Just 2 zwikls - helles & dunkelles, but both are very good. Place is comfy.“

“Located by the city zoo, on the edge of a large and beautiful park, this local brewpub looks like a perfect refuge after a long walk on a sunny day (like today). A rather retro but well-maintained pavilion with a big beer garden offers great food (in German-size portions) as well as two regular beers and a seasonal one, all brewed on location. The staff are very friendly and the service is rather quick. Popular places. Good location. Nice atmosphere. Great food. Decent beer. Will be back again one day :-)“

“Visited this place on our way home from Berlin Maraton 2009. Located almost at the harbour, we went for a beer before going to the ferry. Large pub, friendly staff, the beer was ok.“

“Visited a Thursday in October. Placed a 15 mins. tram-ride outside the inner city in Rostock in the zoo-park. Three beers on tap including the seasonal Festbier. Food is good, just remember this is Germany! Extensive menu list. Service was a bit so-so - slow at times. Beer listings is not impressive in numbers, but the beers are freshly made, which makes it a good experience. Only brew pub in Rostock.“

“I visited the brauhaus, located a 10 minute taxi ride south of old town Rostock, in mid September 2012. The interior is large and open, with a huge bar, but we were about the only guests there so it felt a bit empty in the large room. The service was reasonably quick and we got to taste their three draft beers, including the Festbier, which were all nice. The food was hearty and filling. All in all a nice place, but a bit ways off if you’re in old town Rostock.“

“I visited the "Old Fritz" in mid September 2012 during a short stop in Rostock. Fearing the infamous slow German service I was pleasantly surprised by the waiters, I could hardly finish a glass of beer before they stopped by my table to ask if I wanted another. Though modern, I kind of liked the interior brewery decoration and the large, central bar. Food was tasty and filling, prices nice and the beer selection decent (five on draft). Note that all the beers are from the Störtebeker brewery in Stralsund. If you’re in old town Rostock and want some nice lager beer, this is the place to go.“

“I walked into a few places in Warnemunde looking for beer, and this was the nicest one. Not a ton on tap or in bottles, but respectable for the region and worth a stop.“

“Near Rostocker Zoo, right next to tram station (line 3 and 6). I was there on Wednesday evening and it was like center of the city – quite empty. Three house beers at the time (mid September). Considering the fact that this is the only brewpub in Rostock worth a visit.“

“Recent built, with a medieval touch for the interior decoration; beware, the navigato may give you a location in the middle of the woods; the brewery is only hundreds of meters away, on the other side of the forest path, and you have to drive around to reach it. Careful service; English spoken. They have 3 good beers. The menu list is longer than most brauhaus, but the quality is very ordinary. Overall, a pleasant place to be.“

“End of the afternoon in late May, sunny, the perfect time to enjoy the biergarten, even if the view is on a less than nice part of the harbour. We had a very good wurst with excellent bread. They have 2 draught beers, below average; the beers are actually brewed at Stralsund Brauerei.“

“Located on the harbour. Could be more romantic. The beer is not very interesting. A quite modern place and not very cosey.“

“Nice beer and the location...wonderful old red brick brewpub with a nice beergarden right at the harbour of Rostock. Industrial charme and realy calm if you sit outside. Nice service. At the time I have been there, there were only two brews available and seemed that’s all they have. If there are saisonals I will check out soon.“
