“2023-08-20. Nice spot. Small indoor seating area with more outside on the patio. I pre-ordered an aloha with tomato sauce so it was ready when i got there. Pizza was very good. Decent selection of craft cans. You can also apparently have it delivered to the taproom at Block 3 around the corner.“

“On the main drag that runs through the middle of town. Free street parking, might get tight in the summer, plus a free tourist parking lot a block away. Beautiful outdoor drinking area with scattered tables under a giant oak tree or a huge pine tree, on a large deck or at ground level, plus a few in sun. Large indoor space too, but I didn't spend any time there, but it looks like a large old house. Table service was quick and efficient. Six beers on tap, all from Block Three, one of which is brewed for the house (a decent amber lager). Food was decent quasi-German style in large portions. Nice place, especially in good weather.“

“Big place in an old industrial location near the river, sharing a parking lot with the miniature train museum. Plenty of parking in multiple lots on multiple levels plus street parking, all free, plus a free tourist lot a block away - but I imagine these filling in the summer. There is a parking lot patio, but I sat at the long L-shaped bar inside with a few of one foeder, some barrels and their 10 bbl system. Sadly their only spontaneously fermented beer is long gone and they probably are happy doing mixed culture stuff with some barrel aging now. The beers on offer were tasty enough, available in flights of four. No food. Kid friendly, plus well-behaved dogs, just no dogs on top of the tables )people do it all the time).“

“A great little place in St. Jacob's. Mennonite country and beer! Sign me up. Right on the main street. Friendly service. A good selection of beers, including some interesting sours. Crokinole boards!“

“Cruised in on the bike on my bi-yearly beer run to this small brewer....located in the touristy St Jacobs village....small brewery with a modest capacity....rustic atmosphere ....bar has most of the line up on tap.....bottle and growler sales....worth the trip if you're in the area“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon in early August 2015. Very rustic place, with cement floors and wooden everything else, and yet there's an iPod music player by the old record player. Beers on tap or growler or in the fridge to go. Friendly servers but it was getting busy for them. Worth stopping in, especially if you're in town for the Market and other beer places. “2023-04-09. Quick notes: Nice patio out front and on the side. Limited parking. Friendly servers. 2015-08-01. Interesting little spot, right by the river in St. Jacob’s. They sell draft beer by the glass or growler, and have a handful of bottles in the fridge as well. Decor is an interesting mix of industrial space and the more polished bar area. We were in and out fairly quickly today but a return visit probably warrants a slower paced visit. Beers vary from the very good to not great. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area, you can visit the St. Jacob’s farmers market, have a stroll through town and as well in an afternoon.“

“The brewery has two locations, next to each other: a restaurant and a brewpub. This review is about the brewpub. Located in a high cellar, this small but modern brewpub has six taps with own produce, all of which is very decent. The staff are knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about their work and they give away free samples of decent size, too. Bottles and merchandise are available, too. Very reasonable prices. Will be back if I ever visit St. Jacob’s again.“

“Rustic- feeling brewery in a cute small village. If you space out your visits, they will always have at least a couple new one-offs to try. The quality of their beers seems to be steadily improving since they’ve opened; American (I)PAs tend to be done very well, and some new sours are very nice. Good variety of styles, friendly service. Beer somewhat expensive. I never pass through St Jacob’s without going here.“

“Earthy place to stop in. Major League tanks. Relaxing environment. Tasty beers. Upcoming place with souring and barreling program. Keep an eye out. “

“When I visited: Mid-October 2014. What I had/bought: Flight of Block Three Living In Colour BPA, Monk’s Punk Coffee Belgian Amber, King Street Saison, and Iron Horse Dunkel, then purchased a growler of the Living In Colour and bottles of the Sawmill ESB and Cheap Gold. What I liked: Unique Southwestern facade, spacious and attractive tasting room, the employees are knowledgeable and down-to-earth, the beers range from good (ESB, Saison, Monk’s Punk) to great (Living In Colour, Iron Horse, Blocktoberfest), decent amount of schwag available. What I disliked: They brew a fairly limited range of styles and nothing much in the way of hoppy, roasty, or sour stuff. While the beers are generally solid and the brewery is a nice space they don’t seem to have a strong brand identity or brewing philosophy (yet). But at least the quality is there. Would I go back? As long as they keep brewing good beer and continue to experiment and improve, yes. Overall Rating: 74“

“A nice industrial place in a quaint village setting. Lots of bugs though, so if they bother you come prepared. Nice passionate service, solid beers and tasters. Overall a good place. Beer is pretty good and regular tap rotation, so good for ticking. Wish it weren’t in the middle of nowhere.“
