The experience at Zwanzger was the better of the two, but the Hausbräu was strangely oxidized and raw, while the Pils lacked any measure of character.“ |

In the early afternoon the room is occupied only by retired folks and those getting off from the early shift. Ceramic and metal steins line the wall near the ceiling, a flat screen television sits awkwardly in the center of a corner table, and the bubbling sounds of deep fried pork and potatoes fill the front of the house. Also there is a poster on the wall memorializing dead Nazis who came from Uehlfeld ( http://i.imgur.com/P3XsOVN.jpg ). The Helles was in horrible shape showing serious infection problems, bad enough that I had to inconspicuously go dump my glass in the Wasserklosett
