“Visited on a weekday evening in early August. Nice location on the waterfront. Place was packed with hardly a table to be found. Beer was mediocre. The focus here is the food and the reasonably priced all-you-can-eat buffet is the popular draw. Lots of seafood there, but also rubs, schnitzel chicken, etc. Service was relatively quick and friendly. Good dinner stop.“

“Schön gelegen direkt am Hafenbecken. Neben an ist ein Bahlsen Fabrikverkauf. 4 eigene Biere vom Fass, dazu Flaschen und eigene Schnäpse. Am Wochenende gibts Buffet mit jeder Menge Fisch und Fleisch. Abstecher lohnt sich.“

“Visited while on holiday in nearby Butjadingen (Tossens), on a Sunday evening. Got there around 17.25h and the place was already open (so it's open before 18h on a Sunday) and it was crowded. Not full, but crowded / busy. Over 50 or 60 tabels of at least four inside so the place is quite big. Still it's also quite cosy, scenic, by the port with lots of boats / sailboats laying there. Very friendly service, clean toilets and a "baby-cleaning-room" (or whatever you call that), spaceous yet somewhat small in the middle where the bar is. We went there for the beers and for dinner and boy am I glad we did. We could choose between a la carte or the buffet. For only 17 euros we chose the buffet (only 3 euros for our son as below the age of 13 kids pay a euro per age-year). I've rarely eaten this good. Huge choice, 10 different sorts of fish, kebab (cut yourself), 5 other sorts of meat, super tasty spare ribs, delicious desserts, too much to write and I am not kidding. How can this food be in a brewpub? Well, it appears -from the outside and from the inside- they've joint forces or taken over the restaurant that was once their neighbour. Floors are different height, outside clearly looks different. Then again, what do I care, best food all holiday! Tried their pils but didn't like that very much, but then tried the "Trub" and that was pretty nice so I stuck with that. Bought the rest (they had 6 of their own on in total) on bottle as I had to drive back. Great experience, great night. Absolutely recommended.“

“Nice location right on the harbor, with both indoor and outdoor seating - very busy on a summer night, but still quite fast service Stopped in for a decent Northern German meal and a sample of their four beers of which we could get 3 for take away too. Decorated quite modernly with a copper brewkettle in the restaurant.“
