“Great bar (for Hawaii) about a 10-minute drive outside Waikiki. They had about 24 taps when I visited, with custom flights of 4 available. But man is it pricey -- between $4 and $7 per 4 oz pour -- yikes. Their taplist was pretty good though for Hawaii, with 4-5 big dark beers, a couple sours, and other stuff. Very friendly, prompt service, and a chill environment. If you can get out here, this is worth a stop.“

“They now have custom flights of any 4, charged by the beer, so they are indeed ticker-friendly. However, for 130 taps, a vast majority are uninteresting: macro swill, genetic craft, genetic Belgian, etc. But they have some house Belgians made by Belgian brewers just for Yard House, so it could be of interest. A bunch of the beers I tried didn’t seem like they were in good shape though. Staff don’t really know what’s going on with beer availability, but they’re nice enough. Worth checking out, given that good beer options in Waikiki are not too plentiful.“

“My easy pick for best brewery in Honolulu and all of HI. Large taproom with massive ceilings and tons of seating. They had an expansive list of 20 beers (though some were out), plus a few guests. Flights/small pours available - most were $4/5 oz, some were less, and one was more. Their WCIPAs were dialed in really well -- I liked all of them. Plus their impie stout was great too. Pleasant, attentive service, and an overall nice experience. Worth coming here for the beer.“

“Nice, small tasting room, but with plenty of seating over two floors. Small taplist of 8, with 4 oz pours of everything for $3.50/beer -- not bad for Hawaii. I tried 4 beers and liked 2 of them quite a bit, the other 2 being pretty forgettable -- so, good hit rate for HI. Service was attentive and pleasant. One of the better-quality brewery experiences in Honolulu. Worth a visit if you're nearby.“

“A long walk from Waikiki or a short, 8-min Uber ride, this is a no frills tasting room with 8-10 taps. Flights of 4 available. Unfortunately, the beer quality is not very good -- 3 of the 4 I tasted I found undrinkable/infected. Service was a bit clueless but pleasant. One of the lower tier brewers I tried on Oahu. Skip this.“

“Beautiful spot right on the marina, with a very wide view of the water -- real nice. Tons of seating, including plenty of bar seating. The place feels a bit tired, having been here for ~20 years probably without any upgrades/renos. But whatever, it still works. They had well over a dozen taps including some seasonals. Flights of 4 available for about $15, rather steep considering they didn't have any of the more creative styles on. Staff was friendly and quick. If you can get out here, this was a nice stop.“

“Solid location with limited inside seating and plenty of patio seating. Custom flights available of anything. They had mostly standard styles, but also an interesting BA tripel. Staff were clueless about the beer but friendly enough. Above average spot in Honolulu. Worth hitting when you visit the other breweries in this specific area.“

“Seemed like mostly locals here when we visited, with a trivia night going on. Well over a dozen tap including a few seasonals. Custom flights available with as many 4 oz pours as you want. I tried 6 and didn't like any of the beers: the IPAs were not well-calibrated and the others were just weak/lifeless. Not one of my favourite beer stops when in Hawaii.“

“One of the best beer spots in Honolulu. It's close to several other brewery taprooms, but it differentiates itself by being a hybrid modern bar and bottle shop, with 4 oz pours of everything available. Taplist was good for Hawaii, featuring lots of stuff from mainland US. Prices were a bit high but not too bad for Hawaii. Bottle/can selection had some nice stuff. Staff are friendly. Definitely worth a stop when in this part of Honolulu.“

“Massive spot in the heart of Waikiki up a few floors that you can either walk or take the elevator to. The space is very large, modern and sleek -- plenty of money has gone into this clearly. Large taplist of maybe 20 or more, with plenty of their own, Modern Times' core 4, and a few other guests. Flights of 4 available for about $10, a good deal considering the location. Beer quality can be good, as I've had good Maui beers before, but the 4 I tried on this occasion weren't anything special. They didn't really have any ambitious beers on sadly. Service was top-notch and the setting is very nice. Obviously worth a stop when in Waikiki.“

“Tired place but works for the environment, very beach-like interior, and old school. They have a dozen or taps, with flights of 4 or single 4 oz pours for around $2.50 -- a good deal, especially for HI. The beer was generally solid, especially their IPAs, though the styles weren't very adventurous as per the Hawaiian standard. Service was friendly and fast. I only went to this location, so I can't say how it compares to the others, but it was pretty low key in here when we visited. Worth a look.“

“We came here on 2.11.2023. Great place ! We had only time for one brewery during our 3 hours layover to New York. When we came they played Ska music the whole time. Open window makes it very light and creates fresh air. Super nice bartender - Princess Charles - offering tasters constantly. 10 standard beers and 8 limited releases. The Hop Island IPA was our favourite, a real ‚old style’ West Coast IPA. I am glad we picked this place.“

“A nice open brewery with ample outdoor seating and more inside. We opted for a covered outdoor area and escaped the showers that other patrons did not. The Ahi Poke nachos were delightful and the beer good. Our service was spotty and then disappeared when we wanted to pay, and stayed away long enough that we went to the front and found someone to pay.“

“A large open air brewery and brewpub located just before the gaudy tourist area of Waikiki. We had exceptional service at the bar and enjoyed several beers, with their Jalapeño Wheat among my top 3 pepper beers ever! The food looked great but we settled for liquid food. Our favorite spot in Waikiki.“

“Up three flights from the throngs of tourists below sits an open air brewery with full restaurant. Unfortunately the tourists know how to climb stairs or use the elevator, so you are surrounded. But hey, I was a tourist here too. Seated at the large bar, we each ordered flights of four and sampled Maui Brewing Company beers as well as those from other HI brewers. We did not order food, but it looked good, if not overly large on the portions.“

“A nice, open air brewery with a few food options. We enjoyed the Kailua Pork pizza as a small snack while enjoying the beers and gazing at the artwork. Solid beers throughout the lineup and friendly Hawaiian service. Ample seating, including outdoors, though I can see where this could get crowded. Functional brewery behind the bar provides fresh beer to the tap.“

“This is a lively modern brewpub in the industrial section of Honolulu. The design is sleek in terms of both the building and branding. They have quite a large selection of beers on draft, and the beers are pretty good by Hawaii standards. Service was good. The food was also quite tasty. Small pours were available. Definitely worth a visit.“

“This is one of the best beer bars in Honolulu, especially if you are not looking exclusively for Hawaiian beer. They had plenty of European stuff, Revision, Equilibrium, Jester King and 450 North when I was there, along with a smattering from most Hawaii craft breweries. Plenty of stuff was on tap as well, which could be had in small pours. The complex is pretty cool as well, and it is a good place to get souvenirs...“

“I have been here twice, and given the other choices available in Honolulu would not recommend unless you are waiting for tonkatsu, which I do recommend. If you have had a smattering of Hawaiian craft, there is a good chance you will find nothing new here. I ended up having to drink a mainland beer for ticks here. Also, the service was mediocre and very slow. Music was loud and too many TVs played awful things like golf.“

“Decided to check this place out since I had about 90 minutes to kill before my flight to the Big Island. Disappointing little pizza place/bar. I didn’t eat, but just a handful of taps that were Kona Longboard, Maui blonde, Gooose Island IPA, and Aloha IPA, and a few macros. I stopped in to some of the other bars in the airport and they all seemed to have the exact same list. And you’ll pay about $12 for one of these meh beers, too. Scroll past.“

“Visited June 2018. Stopped in here for a quick tick as it was on the walk between our place and the shop we rented snorkel gear from. Basically this is just another tourist trap restaurant on one of the main drags in Waikiki. They did at least have a handful Waikiki Brewing and Honolulu Beerworks beers on tap, so I just ordered one that I hadn't tried yet. Service was fine and it wasn't very crowded since it was mid-morning. I mean, you can get locally brewed beer here, but it's not really worth the time to visit unless you happen to be walking by already and are a degenerate like me.“

“Visited June 2018. Kind of a gastropub-style place with about 20 taps and a nice selection of bottles and cans. Kind of dark inside with all wood decor. We took a couple seats at the bar and just had drinks. Food looked good, though. Tap list is a mix of a handful of Hawaiian offerings, a bunch of Stone and Rogue, and a few common imports. Prices are high, but on par for elsewhere on the island (typically $7-9 for pints). Good service from knowledgeable and friendly staff. They also have a pretty extensive selection of bottles and cans which provide a bit more variety than the draft pours.“

“Visited June 2018. A little bit out of the way for your typical tourist, but this is a large beer, wine, and spirits store that also happens to have a seafood counter with some pretty solid poke (and other items like shrimp and octopus dishes). Probably the biggest and most varied selection of beers of any place that we visited on Oahu. As with most places, the focus is still Hawaiian beers and stuff from the US West Coast, but they did have a pretty substantial selection of Asian, Belgian, and German imports as well as some oddball stuff like Evil Twin and Mikkeller that I didn't notice elsewhere in town. They also seemed to have a pretty extensive selection of sake, if you're into that. Only real demerit here is that some hoppy/freshness dependent beers were stored on the shelves. Plentiful parking available too, which is a plus. Hard to rate because compared to amazing bottle shops elsewhere it might not match up, but it's very good for Hawaii.“

“Visited June 2018. Walked down the street from SALT/Village to check this place out. Thanks to my wife for humoring me. Open air tasting room and restaurant that was kind of dead right around opening on a weekday afternoon. We took a couple seats at the bar and I, of course, ordered every beer offered. Friendly and attentive service from the woman behind the bar. Flights were available in addition to full pours, cans, and fills to go. Beer quality here was okay but they do a lot of different stuff, so you can probably find something to enjoy. Not air conditioned so my fat ass was feeling pretty sweaty.“

“Visited June 2018. Bottle shop and bar located in SALT. Plenty of parking available in the garage as well as a bit of street parking. They have a pretty good selection of drafts and bottles here, at least as far as Hawaii goes. Most of the beers are either from Hawaii or the US West Coast (i.e., California, Washington, and Oregon) with a handful of basic German and Belgian imports. You can do taster pours here as well as full pours. Plenty of seating at the bar as well as some tables. They have some nice limited release stuff here from Beer Lab HI, Lahaina, and Maui in case you're interested in those.“

“Visited June 2018. A short walk from our apartment for the week, so we visited a couple times since it's one of the places open late and they had a halfway decent happy hour. A huge place that seemed to always be crowded, but we were generally able to just grab seats at the bar. Full bar as well as the house beers (plus a handful of guest taps). They do tasters as well as full pours. Beers are expensive, but that's to be expected. I was pretty impressed by the number of seasonals/rotating/limited release options they had here. Definitely one of the better choices for beer, particularly if you're in the Waikiki tourist trap. Definitely a worthwhile stop.“

“Visited June 2018. We actually mostly stopped here because we were waiting for our table at the tonkatsu place upstairs and this worked conveniently enough to grab a drink. Kind of an odd place since it's basically hidden away in a little strip mall sort of deal just a short distance from Waikiki. Extensive tap list, but like so many places with 50 beers or whatever on, a lot of boring, basic stuff you find everywhere (particularly in Hawaii since the selection is limited to begin with). That said, they did have a lot of stuff for a visitor to try. They do flights as well as full pours and have a full bar. Plenty of TVs to amuse you as well.“

“Another great place to visit in Honolulu. They have really made the most out of this small space. 6x 2-barrel? Stacked 2 high. 2nd floor tables overlooking the first floor taps. 8 typical beers on tap: Mostly easy drinking styles, including half hazy IPAs, which I like.“

“Quite nice 30 minute walk from Waikiki beach, if you are staying there. 12 taps, one is a hard seltzer, and one is a kombucha, which I like but was only here to rate. Each ~4oz taster is about $2.50, a relief from the Silicon Valley $4-$5, I’m unfortunately getting used to. A mixture of excellent new hazy IPA and old school red and amber ales. Great overall. Staff and customers are quite friendly.“
