54 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 Located right off the highway, this is a dark and dreary, but fittingly Belgian, tasting room. 10 or so beers on tap, with single tasters of anything available for $1.75 (after tax). Beer quality is not great, with the Belgian yeast not being harnessed correctly much of the time. Server was friendly, but didn't know anything about beer, nor even likes beer (as she said). Beer quality makes this a non-worthy stop. |
66 /100 112 N SPOKANE STREET Nice modern tasting room in a beautiful area near a little lake. Over a dozen beers on tap, with flights of 5 available for $9 (after tax). Beers were heavily IPA-focused, and a good thing, as they nail the hops -- beer quality was good overall. Service was nonchalant and not very friendly. Worth a stop if passing through, or if in Coeur d'Alene. |
82 /100 112 N SPOKANE STREET This was the surprise of the day. Big and modern place, open, big bar. The place was hopping. 18 taps? Very good selection and quality. Had a blast here. |
76 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 A must stop for me, as they do very good Belgian beers. Gave me the chance to tick off a few more of their brews, as well as add some new ones to the database.Located in an industrial area, small storefront in business park. Clean and cozy inside, dark and lots of wood. Small bar, most of their beers on tap, a few more options in bottles. Wasn't disappointed. |
54 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 For me the ambiance was a little over the top, seemed like they were trying to make up for the fact that the location is in a strip-mall, the beers were served way too cold and were not true to style, both the quadruple and belgian dark strong tasted of far too much licorice. |
88 /100 112 N SPOKANE STREET After relocating to the area I visited several breweries and this one is my favorite. Opened late April 2016 and already it is the place to be for craft beer in Post Falls. 10-13 beers on tap, flights, keg sales, view of the river, great vibe.. Top Notch |
80 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 Not much to look at from the outside, this tap room is cozy, quiet, warm and welcoming inside. Nice selection of their Belgian-inspired brews on tap with occasional cool guest taps. Friendly staff and good service. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. |
86 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 You must like Belgium style beer to like these beers. With that said, they have a great selection with several beers being seasonal. Currently , my favorite is the St Thomas. St Augustine just came out for the summer and is a close 2nd. The Guilt has good coffee notes. The IPA lovers love the Infidel. In the winter , there is usually one of the high ABV beers: the 10 or 12. |
78 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 I want to love this place, and I almost do. Beautifully decorated old pub. Superb, and I mean superb service. Guest taps. Everything is really good but the beer. IPA’s are solid, but the yeast they use is soooo overpowering that it really hides what should be glorified. I will still come back as it is just a really nice atmosphere and sublime service. |
90 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 This is my favorite local brewery, the tap room is an awesome mix of dark wood and granite. The staff is very knowledgeable, and I love their take on Belgian style beers. |
76 /100 Capone’s Pub & Grill (Restaurant) 315 N. ROSS POINT ROAD Visited after dinner on a Tuesday evening. Easy to find, right off of I-90. Very much a pub set up, bigger bar right as you walk in, with table seating around to the left as well as in back. Bunch of bric a brac on the walls. Really solid tap list of regional craft, great service, and an overall good vibe. It was pretty slow when I visited, though the place was clearly built to handle a crowd. 76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
90 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 First class. Jeff, and all the staff make this a great place to hang out, and try some really great beer. |
88 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 Found my new watering hole... The beers these guys brew are amazing. Only thing could make this place better is if they had food. But hey, their a production brewery and not a bar.
Cheers to Jeff and Gang at Selkirk - Thanks for bringing yet another great brewery to the pacific northwest. |
88 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 Nice little Belgian-style brewery set in an industrial park outside of Post Falls, ID. You’d never be able to tell it from the outstide, but the inside decor of this place is really cool. The tasting room has a medieval vibe with a big giant Belgian Abbey-like cross hanging above the bar and the dim lighting. The beers here range from really good (St. Augustine, Infidel) to fairly mediocre (The White). The guest taps they have are always crazy amazing, with Verhaeghe Duchesse De Bourgogne, New Belgium La Folie, Odell The Meddler, Laughing Dog Bourbon Barrel-Aged Dogfather, and Deschutes The Abyss all recent offerings. The service is top-notch, with the friendly head brewer interacting with his customers almost throughout the whole hour or two I spent there. Great place! I’m really hoping they try their hand at a sour ale. Also looking forward to the time when they tweak a few problems they seem to have with a couple of their brews. These guys are talented. |
84 /100 Capone’s Pub & Grill (Restaurant) 315 N. ROSS POINT ROAD Not as busy as the CdA location (well, not during this lunch time), but the decor is very familiar and makes you feel at home. Nice to see that the tap selection does differ a fair bit from it’s sister bar in CdA. Beer is always fresh & tasty, along with the single cask ale offering. Food is good, tasty, hearty, filling pub grub. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Both Capones are must visits when visiting/passing through!!! |
72 /100 6180 E SELTICE WAY, STE 102 Finally a local place to get decent tap beer. Beer and dishes of small dry pretzels. Pints $4.50.
The place is new and has a noticeable smell of wood furniture polish (there’s lots of wood in the decor).
4 SA taps with guest taps including a rotating Belgium Belgian offering. Laughing Dog single hop IPA and their Bourbon Barrel aged Dogfather stout are here now. |
80 /100 Capone’s Pub & Grill (Restaurant) 315 N. ROSS POINT ROAD A great beer bar with close to 40 taps, most of which are of high quality. Capones (in both their Coeur d’ Alene and Post Falls incarnations) is the best place to drink good beer in North Idaho. |
84 /100 Capone’s Pub & Grill (Restaurant) 315 N. ROSS POINT ROAD Plenty of taps serving a wide range of US beers. Not sure if they offer cask ales, but the keg beers I tried were great. Don’t forget the place in nearby Coeur d’Alene! Both pretty famous for American-style pizza and burgers on home-made buns. |
