“Lol, had no clue this was suddenly ratable? Been here during the summer, multiple times. In the middle of the ’forest’ ( yeah, US-ers, this is what we call a forest in Belgium ) of zoersel, there is this big outside-seating area. Peace and silence ! The menu -beerwise- is absolutely small. it has 2 beers brewed for Zoersel ( not sure if they will later on be aliasssed , but so far they are tickable ) and a few names you will not know besides that. These ones, though, are self-named beermixtures ( Lindemans Kriek mixed with hoegaarden is sold as a real beer, with an actual name they made up themselves ) so don’t get tricked there. The prices are good, except for the Oud Beersel geuze. the thing costs 4 €, while I’ve never seen it under 6 in any bar, anywhere. dirtcheap, that is ! So I guess I don’t need to explain what I drink here. The service... well.. it might not be fair to Judge them on ratebeer, it’s not a beer-place at all. ratebeer-standards? they absolutely suck. Uninterested in customers, not particularly friendly, and for sure having no clue about beers or how to serve them. On the other hand, they’re just a place for bikers and walkers to chill in the sun with a drink, and perhaps some food.“

“been here a while ago , with the GF who lives closeby. The menu is - for Zoersel standards - huge. For beer-geek-standards, its ’ok’. it contains a few locals, and a nice set of good, belgian beers. Nothing crazy here, but given the fact that Zoersel is a graveyard in special beers, this is thé place to be if you want a nice glass of heavenly fluid. The service is OK. not very beer-knowing, but thats not what this place is anyway. Look at it as a brasserie , with a bigger beermenu. prices are very reasonable.“

“Erg leuk restaurant/café in een oude boeren hofstee. Ruimte binnen is erg klein maar knus, met open haard. Bij mooi weer kan buiten worden gezeten. Uitgebreide kaart en natuurlijk een Loteling drinken.“

“Went here after we picked up some crates of Westmalle Extra at the brewery. Located somewhere between some smaller cities. Very cosy interior, loved it. Large patio as well. Should be fun in the summer. Service was very friendly, no remarks there. Selection was OK. No more Struise left besides the Pipedream. We had an Orval, aged for 1.5 years at 3.7 euro, great! I had the lunch at 11 euro, which was really decent. My brother had the stew at 14 euro, which was OK. Overall, certainly recommended if you’re in the neighbourhood.“

“Located quite of the way so you need to come here specifically for this place & you are not likely to stumble randomly upon it. Upside to the out of the way location is obviously that there is a large parking next to it, it is very calm and cosy with a lovely terrace where they had a lovely fire going. It must be lovely to sit outside here in the summer. Inside there was a lot of dark wood and a good amount of locals despite it being a Friday afternoon, lovely place to be at. Food seemed to be main focus here with a grill located at the back of the restaurant where they were frying up crazily big piece of fine meat. We didn’t eat here but food looked incredible, lots of game available, prices were a bit in there higher rage (upped part of 20 – 30€) but looking at the food it seemed like it justified the prices. As far as beer goes, they are reasonable enough selection at standard prizes. They didn’t have anything particularly rare but selection was solid enough, I got 4 new tick’s. Some smaller, less popular stuff featured but not extremely so. They also had a some Struise and bigger bottles for which you need to ask specifically for whatever reason but it wasn’t an issue. Service was standard Belgian with nothing negative to remark about. Orval was very well prized, 3.20 € for an 8 month old bottle is a fine deal. Overall a pretty cosy place, coming here to eat as seems like the right thing to do.“

“Just the fair weather thing for parents who want to have a beer while letting their tykes loose on the playground. More than 170 beers including Struise, new breweries, and large bottles, all properly poured. Large terrace with toys and games in the woods. Keep going until you don’t seriously think there could be a tavern around the next bend. Flemish comfort cooking plus the usual croques and snacks. Cozy interior too.“

“Huge beer garden in a rural setting. Tap list is somewhat interesting, and the bottle list is even better. Tasty food, good service. A good stop on the way to or from Antwerp.“

“One of the best places in the Kempen area to have a beer. close to some walking trails, so a good way to combine losi, calories witrh adding some. Good grub as well. Marc is really a great guy, but when the weather is nice this place gets busy, so don’t count on talking to him“
