“*Live review waiting to catch our plane back to Heathrow, Sunday 21st May 2017. This is a good sized JDW for an airport, however even at 6:30 it was buzzing with folk, many of whom were fake tanned and glammed up drinking wine and beer before jetting off to sunnier climes. The beer selection here much like many Spoons was a little limited, though there was the craft bottled and cans to choose from if required. The layout was rectangular with raised section with screens and little lamps giving some tables a slightly more exclusive look. Overall fine enough and a nice cuppa with toast was had here.“

“Visited on 3rd December 2016. Tucked away behind the large Spoons, this is quite a sizeable pub with fairly basic decor, a bit of wood, and a maze of rooms, pretty poor selection of beer with only macro keg offerings, the wickets had nothing on them. Didn’t stay long and won’t be rushing back.“

“Houston Tap Room, 5 cask ales, very friendly staff and regulars. Some beers £1.80 a pint. Houston’s own bottles really just for show, but some others in the fridge looked mostly like macro lagers & flavoured ciders.“

“A single hand pump, which had nothing on. Generic bar with nothing very interesting when I visited.“

“Seems to be a tap room for Houston. 5 cask ales available and some bottles that were either out of date or for show only. Friendly staff and regulars though.“

“Visited on January 22nd 2016. 2 level Spoons next to Gilmorton St station. Huge ground floor area. Bar had 2 banks of handpulls. A couple of the usual tat on one plus 2 international collaborations. 2 Kelburn beers plus a couple from Wales. Prices low, service decent. Handy spot for a quick beer. I used and abused it!“

“Fairly naff by Spoons standards, but in an airport anything decent is welcome.“

“The Only deent place around. So the choice is obvious. They do actually have an ok tap selection. You will surely find something you have not tried before!“

“If you like your ales cheap, then this is the place to go. No atmosphere, dirty tables, and poor service may put off some people though.“

Bull Inn (Bar)

“A Maclay Inn which claims to be the oldest bar in Paisley. 3 real ales on tap. Live football on TV. Not a nice atmosphere and not very friendly staff. Also very expensive. Close to other real ale venues in the town centre.“

“Small traditional Scottish bar not far from Gilmour Street Station & other bars. 3 real ales on tap & Sky Sports on TV. Ok place but not worth going out of your way for.“

“Large spacious Wetherspoons just outside the entrance to Paisley Gilmour Street Station. 12 handpumps (some for cider but the rest have interesting well cared for ales. Busy but service OK. One of the best Wetherspoons in the region.“

“Wetherspoons’s bar at Glasgow Airport, Airside. Very busy with passengers waiting to depart on flights. 4 real ale taps, 3 nationals & 1 local microbrewery. Not a great place but at least you can get a decent pint while you are waiting for your plane. Does not charge standard JDW prices.“
