“Visited with Sindre 06.02.24. Nice brew pub showcasing brewing brewing equipment in shining cooper and stainless steel. Warm and lush cellary steampunk style without too much fuzz. 1970-brown leather chairs. Nice atmosphere and warm even in early February.“

“Visited with Sindre 06.02.24. 20 well-selected craft beers on tap. Nice armosphere that includes some Frank Zappa on the stereo at the bar and David Atteeborough at the toilet. Friendly service. They also serve pizza.“

“I have visited this place once before and enjoyed a new beer from Monkey Brew on tap. Since this place now is on RateBeer I had to revisit for a beer. I did not eat. Decent beer selection but the tap selection is more or less the same as many other place in Trondheim. Some interesting bottles and cans in the fridge. Very central location and a nice patio but not a must visit beer destination. (Visited August 2nd 2023)“

The Crab (Restaurant)
KJØPMANNSGATA 7
“This is a fine restaurant offering world class seafood. It is in one of the old wooden storage bulidings along the river Nidelven and near the tourist attraction «Gamle bybro» The Crab is owned by Ansnes Brygger from Hitra. Famous seafood from the islands Hitra and Frøya is this restaurants specialities. But, they also have siders in bottles from FjordSider and bottled beers from Frøya and Ansnes. The latter is rather hard to get! You can go all the way to Ansnes Brygger on the Island Hitra or visit the more central located The Crab here in Trondheim! Very friendly and attentive service. I had a crab and mango salad as a starter and klipfish as main course. Very tasty! To drink I had a bottle from Ansnes. Well worth a visit! (Visited August 2nd 2023)“

“Holy shit. I do regret that I have not visited this place before. It is a bit off pist in Trondheim. But not really far away from the city center. Maybe only 15 min walk from Solsiden I did not have any high expeditions. As I am not a big fan of EC Dahls. But this pub and restaurant really rocked. And Trondheim rocks! Quite good tap selection. Not only EC Dahls. Some one offs from other local breweries. The bottle selection was outstanding! Solid food and lovely patio I am coming back!! Motley Crüe rocked, and so did this place! “

“Even I finally got to visit Stammen Their opening hours are rare! So if you want to visit this place. Make sure it is open before you go there To make an appointment by sms works great. The brewery pops up and show you the piano You will understand what I mean when you get there Absolutely a recommendable pit stop in Trondheim. Only a 5 min walk from the main square “

“Roomy and fairly nice "Irish" pub and cafe / restaurant with normal pub grub, hamburgers and the like, I had and egg & bacon brunch - and of course a pint of Guinness. You pay as you order. They also had 5-6 Norwegian beers on tap, and a few imports, all from the Ringnes portfolio. Not a place the beer rater will search out, but as the location is very central, you might as well pop in for a look or a meal.“

Work-Work (Bar)
MUNKEGATA 58
“We stumbled over this bar by coincidence! Work-Work is a co-working space and game themed pub with an exclusive house beer from Monkey Brew. Rather impressive taplist too. Friendly service. Mostly younger crowd enjoying board games, arcade games or playing card. I had to buy a token for my "coin" collection. Arcade games downstairs. (Visited July 16th 2022 with Untappd Jostein)“

“Gastro pub a bit outside the city centre but worth a visit. We came for a beer or two. Decent selection on tap and in the fridge. Seems to offer at least one special beer from Monkey Brew. Very friendly and helpful service. (Visited July 16th 2022 with Untappd Jostein)“

“Claims to be the oldest pub still in operation in Trondheim. Very old? Certainly not, the pub date back to 1962! The building seems to be much older. Dark interior, varied seating and a large patio in front. Very cozy pub with 14 taps and a decent bottled selection. Most exciting taps from Grunerløkka, Sierra Nevad and E.C. Dahls. Efficient service. Several intimate rooms downstairs, actually a bit cavern-like or like an old vault. (Visited July 16th 2022 with Untappd Jostein)“

“Cool old wooden dark place with a "hidden" enterance, ok selection of beers and very cool toillett room. Outdoor seating at Nidelven river by the old bridge, we really liked it there. The only mistake was we ordered food and it took about 1-1 1/2hour before we got it, witch was a big minus for our visit.“

Meny Lade (Grocery Store)
HAAKON VIIS GATE 25
“Another Meny grocery store with good selection of local craft beer. This is one of few stores that has all local craft beer bottles in a fridge. Nice! It is more important to store these bottles cold than pasteurized and filtered macro bottles and cans that normally are stored cold. (Visited June 27th 2020)“

“Not very crowded at my visit, it actually felt quite empty. Seems like most guest arrive late in the evening. Decent beers on tap from Austmann, BrewDog and Bådin but also macro beers from Hansa (?) I did not check out their bottled selection, but you can see the beer menu on Untappd. Fair enough venue but not a place for me. (Visited June 26th 2020)“

“Finally I got to visit Stammen. Stammen is a café and bar with a variety of cultural events. Most of the drinks and food are organic/ecological/vegan. Normally open Thursday to Saturday and closed for summer holiday in July. And, often there are events going on and then not open for drop-in guests. I had made an appointment by SMS to make sure the bar was open for a single beer tourist. Very good service provided by the friendly Helle. Three beers from tap, through the front of a piano, never seen that before! One from Einstok, one from the retired Eiker and their own «Stammen Løv» Only 5 bottles in the fridge. The thing here is their own beer! Small patio in front, but you are not allowed to bring alcohol outside. Interior is a mixture of second hand furniture. All tables were reserved for a lecture a bit later. Enjoyed my stay and the beer. (Visited June 26th 2020)“

“The Gulating store downtown Trondheim (Byhaven) is slightly better than this one, and more convenient to visit for tourists. If you arrive by car as I did, it is easy to visit this one and parking is free. Very friendly service. Good selection of local beers but no one from Stolt? I found many new bottles from Fjord Bryggeri. (Visited June 26th 2020)“

“I did not like this location, same entrance as «OBS Bygg» a retail store for building materials. Also often heavy traffic on the main roads around Lade. Decent beer selection but if you have a car, I recommend to visit Vinmonopolet Valentinlyst instead. I came here for one beer, «Frøya Draug» (Visited June 26th 2020)“

“Five years since last rating? Well, this Vinmonopolet is second best in Trondheim. Vinmonopolet Bankkvartalet in downtown Trondheim is the best one for beer hunters. But, this one is also a great place for Norwegian beers. Situated downstairs in «Valentinlyst Senter» Good selection from local breweries such as Klostergården, Rein Kloster, Hammerhead, Hogna and Inderøy. But, Stolt is still missing! Do also visit Coop Mega grocery store in the same shopping center. (Visited June 26th 2020)“

“The 3rd best Vinmonopolet in Trondheim. Local beers from Hammerhead, Klostergården and Monkey Brew. But, poor selection from Hogna. Finding this store in the rather large shopping center «City Syd»? “A gourmet pub in the eastern part of town, not far from Solsiden, and within walking distance from the train station. A corner place with an elongated main room in different sections. The servery with 12 taps is close to the entrance and a small sports section with TV to the left of the entrance. Separate dining room. Draught beers from Svalbard, Money Brew, Hammerhead, Haandbryggeriet, Mack and Aja among others. Solid selection of bottles and cans, quite a few from the Mack microbrewery. A stylish and cozy place. Excellent service and well made food. (Dining and drinking with Ellen, 14.09.2019).“

“Sklep monopolowy w samym centrum Trondheim. Wszystkie rodzaje alkoholu. Piwo na równych prawach z winami czy mocniejszymi trunkami, co w vinmonopoletach nie jest regula. Duzy wybór piw z Skandynawii, poza tym sa piwa z Niemiec, Belgii i innych krajów Europy. Byly tez z USA, w tym kilka perelek. Obsluga niezla, szczególnie jesli chodzi o znalezienie konkretnego piwa w asortymencie sklepu.“

“Coming from Selma, this was a let down. 7 taps and no new beers for us. That´s often a problem late in the evening for beer connoiseurs who drink like drunkards. “Not in walking distance from the city centre but bus nr 7 will take you almost to the door steps in 12-15 minutes. Look for the yellow and red industrial building. The «Hammerhead» shark logo is easy visible. When you enter, a broad staircase leads up to the taproom/bottle shop/home brewer shop. Simple, wooden hipster interior. Unfortunately, no Hammerhead beers on tap at our visit due to a mini beer festival in the weekend. Thirsty guests! I don´t think that a single bottle in the bottle shop was new to me. Good selection, but no rare local beers. Interesting guest beers on tap, but not what we came for. Luckily, Brew Lab Belgisk Wit, was on tap. Confused? Hammerhead is the brewery, Brew Lab is the venue we visited. Brew Lab beers are small batches made by the shops home brewer kit. Brewing takes place right by the bar, to the left. Therefore the name Brew Lab & Hammerhead. When bottles or cans soon will be available, it will be under the Hammerhead name. Next time in Trondheim, I will revist and hope for more beers on tap!
