“Cool brewery in Coral Gables, with some great beer. Cool to have someone focusing in on the Aussie/NZ hops so much. Lamb burger was pretty decent too. Definitely a solid addition to the Miami scene. Outdoor seating is great by some old art deco buildings and a nice founding that insta models all seem to flock to. Flights available, service is great. Probably among my favourite brewpubs in Miami. Prices on the high side, but it's Coral Gables so go figure.“

“Down the street from the University of Miami along the train lines, deep in the throes of the Miami metro. Street parking was ample, but the goofy payment system took us 20 minutes to figure out because the payment station wasn't working. They're going for an English pub vibe but don't quite get there. Super friendly and attentive staff. Decent offerings, tilted toward British styles, of course. Unfortunately, the beers we had were less than outstanding. Didn't eat, but the menu looked OK. Brewery #939.“

“Old wooden English brewpub type place. Beers aren’t particularly amazing here, and it seems they rarely change their lineup. Hit up once if in the area, but there are much better things out there in Miami/Lauderdale these days. They do flights.“

“Great option in Coral Gables, the food was very good and reasonably priced. The wife’s Shrimp & Steak was excellent and my Meat Loaf was superb and ENORMOUS! The beer I had was the fabulous house brewed ‘Shipbuilders Oatmeal Stout’. There is a separate dining area away from the bar, which makes for a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy dinner. Although located on a main road, access is a bit tricky if you’ve never been to the area before (like we hadn’t) being on Ponce de Leon Blvd with the Sth Dixie Highway running right alongside, the traffic in the area is manic. Also from what I could tell, all parking in the area is ‘Paid Parking’ (probably due to proximity to the University). Give Titanic Restaurant and Brewery a look though if you’re in the area.“

“Place was really busy for a Friday night. Huge draft beer selection with several I have been wanting to try. I had the Parma gen encrusted pork loin which two big loins which were great. You can get a set of four samples for a reasonable price. Interested in going back in the future.“

“More like taproom/brewpub this was kind of pub with attached restaurant. Food had a good value (had a "build your own" burger). Beers are quite medicore. Flights are available (very cheap sampler of their beers if I remember correctly). Staff was more like normal restaurant staff than beer place guys. The place to visit for ticks and maybe for a lunch with them. Coral Gables has very few beer places.“

“The Shipbuiler’s Oatmeal Sout is my go to beer and this is a go to place. I set the value high even though it is not a specifically cheap place (though not very pricey for Miami or Coral Gables) because the main thing I get is a stout and the dolphin (mahi mahi) plate that comes with mashed potatoes and buttered vegetables (vegetable medley). For what you get it’s a great price as long as you keep it at that. The place has a nice earth tone color scheme and a great location with simple parking. It is small so live music can be a little too loud. This is a bar that borders UM but is no longer a college bar. To the contrary, the average clientele is a little on the older side, you are more likely to see a professor there than a student. All the people I’ve seen working there are nice, from the bar to the kitchen. None of their beers are storied but this is a solid place that won’t disappear five minutes after the infant craft beer craze that is currently underway in Miami dies out.“

“Nice stop in Florida just outside of Miami. Parking was not impossible on a Sunday afternoon but I could see how it might get bad on a Saturday night. Decent beer selection as far as Yard House goes.“

“Similar to the KC set up but a little bit smaller. There is no parking as it is located in shopping center and semi pedestrian area. The place was fairly crowded but our server was a little slow to get to us. He seemed pretty decent once he showed up. The listed selection seemed quite good but they were out of a couple of beers that we were looking. Overall, okay but nothing to go out of your way for.“

“Nice local style brewpub next to the University of Miami. Seemed to be doing a nice business. Six beers on tap and four guest taps. Beers were decent. Service, food, and prices were good. Enjoyed the visit.“

“Visited late night on a Tuesday. Located right by the U, I was able to find street parking though looks like this may be an issue on a busy night. During my visit, there was a jazz combo playing initially, then another group, which was loud, though both groups were solid. There are two rooms, one has a longer bar and the other room has tables. Featured 6 Titanic beers on draft as well as 4 guest taps (Fat Tire, Sixpoint Resin, Wynwood La Rubia and Two Brothers Outlaw. Appeared to have a dozen or so bottles. Decent vibe, good service. I missed the food, though they had a decent bread pudding. Worth a stop, located right next to a Stop N Shop.

70 = ★★½ (Locals should check it out, visitors with extended time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Typical of Miami, only parking available is valet or the rare metered. Restaurant provides free internet for its patrons which is required because phone reception is non existent. Typical yard house decor. The beer selection is fairly conservative for craft beer although they do provide a large quantity. The food is great. And the atmosphere is superb. Great for a night out with friends being introduced to the craft beer scene.“

“Huge sports pub with dozens of plasmas offering football, baseball, nba and other sports. Beer selection is good, ambiance is cool wiht wooden furniture and a bit too dark lighting. Patio is large, too, employees , dressed in team’s t-shirts are helpful and kind. Pretty ok for my second US beer place visited...“

“Titanic has been presenting top quality beer and ale for over 10 years. It has been an oasis in a beer desert that is just now becoming reasonably irrigated. Food and service continues to be very strong and consistent.“

“I stopped past here for a quick beverage after going to Stop N Shop nearby. The place is a pretty standard brewpub by all accords, but an enjoyable pub nonetheless. They had a solid selection of house-brews; I opted for the 2xIPA, which wasn’t bad. Service was a bit slow, considering the place was quiet. If you are in the area it is still a worthy stop.“

“In outdoor shopping mall and easy to locate. Parking is valet and meter. Patio in front but under cover. Bar in the center like standard Yard House with tables around edges. Good tab selection of standards and Florida selections. I had half salad and sandwich lunch selection. Nice visit, but better locations in area.“

“The selection here is pretty bad for a Whole Foods. Every once in a while they might get something in like a 100K+OT but the standard selection is paltry. However, it’s a very good Whole Foods, good staff, good atmosphere. For beer, though, the one in Pinecrest (farther south down US-1) is way better!“

“I’m not a huge fan of the Yard Houses in general. But. There are several things that need to be mentioned. Primarily, there is a happy hour that runs late night 10PM to closing Sun-Wed. This entails 1/2 price on appies, which include Hawaiian poke platter (recommended), ahi sashimi, etc at very good value. No beer, including strong ones and seasonals, is more than $5. The selection is not bad. CCB Jai Alai, a few other FL beers, and a few worthwhile seasonals were on tap. For tickers there is often something new. The happy hour is also weekday nights 4-6PM, but the traffic in this area is unbearable at those times. So are the crowds are on the weekends...Long story short, definitely worth visiting for the late night happy hour Sun-Wed.“

“Was here with a dozen friends and the wait staff was accommodating. Ordered the jambalya dinner which was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it! Heard a live blues/cover type group while there, they played quietly enough so you could still talk to your mates, which I appreciated. Sampled their oatmeal stout, steam beer, and ESB. The oatmeal stout had the most flavor but the steam was also nice and went well with my dinner. Tried sips off the sampler and beers were average at best, but i’d go back for the jambalaya, stout or steam if in the area. There are not many places to get craft beer in Miami!“

“Visited with a group of friends on January 21, 2012.
Tried the Porthole Sampler with 5 regular beers and a seasonal. Had the other two seasonals on half pint. Full pint of the oatmeal stout as I found it to be the best. Ate a steak with fries that was really nice. They had some live music playing. Nice enough place, no beers were bad, some were to the boring side. I’d go back for the food and the oatmeal stout for sure.“

“Decent at best. Has a few beers that I haven’t seen anywhere else in the Miami area (such as Duchesse de bourg-whatever the hell). Prices are expensive, but nothing dissimilair from the rest of the overpriced miami stores. My biggest beef is the fairly small selection. Go to Stop-n-shop coral gables (next to titanic) instead for the best selection in the area (although prices are also shitty). They do get Bells seasonals though (hopslam, expedition), as does stop-n-shop; not Milams though. The whole foods i went to in fairfax (fair lakes), virginia was so much better.“

“Don’t blink or you’ll miss it as it is easily missed. Once inside, it is larger than it appears. Beer was average for a local brewery, the food was better than average. Wife had meatloaf, I had Shrimp & grits and we would both order them again. Son had hot wings and considered them average.“

“For a bar that is practically on UM’s campus, they are not over-the-top, nor do they ignore the school. It is a cozy, nautical-themed, wooden interior with a somewhat dimly lit bar area, an intimate seating area, and what seems like a very cramped space for the brewer to brew in. The beers are pretty good with the seasonals and limited releases outpacing the regular offerings. They had a dry-hopped IPA, a Belgian Blonde, and an Imperial Dunkel Hefe that were solid when I went with IBrew2or3. $6 sampler of their beers, not bad at all. I found it very funny that the menu told patrons they were limited to one glass of the Imperial IPA, as it was 9% ABV. The only thing that was irritating about the place was finding parking- go for the meters, it will save lots of stress in the long run.“

“A decent beer selection that occasionally has a few well priced gems. It is an upscale store with pricey food and beer. There are usually a dozen bombers usually some west coast offerings and a few of the more popular Belgians. Not a good place to go do a majority of your beer shopping but if you are in the store you can always find a deal or two if you know where to look. Beer people seem to be hit or miss, some know what they are talking about and the others are probably just stocking the shelves.“

“A surprising tucked away brewpub (at least for us who weren’t familiar with UM). We went in during a quiet early evening hour to enjoy a few brews before continuing on our way and weren’t disappointed. The ambiance was perfect for that time, well appointed. While it is a "UM" bar, it wasn’t to over the top for us travelers.“

“Sat at a table for lunch. Pretty decent beer selection. My problem is that they give me the beer a little too cool temperature wise. The food isn’t great either, typical americana garbage. They also take a while to bring you your orders.“

“The ambiance in this place is pretty nice, very at sea feeling from the wooden decorations and doomed cruiser theme. The waiter was attentive and nice. The food choices were unique but not really my thing. I prefer the usual mozzarella sticks or other regular beer food. Their six beers are decent and their seasonals are better. 2 or 3 guest taps. Very good prices, cheap food and beer. Younger crowd. I found their live band entertainment unnecessary, it made talking to people difficult. Nice place.“

“Nifty German style bar off Miracle Mile. Great small-time bar ambiance with neat German decor. The servers are tall blond women with German accents, that is fitting and all, but I just wish they were more attentive. Nice selection of Warsteiner, Erdinger, and Franziskaner. Half liter steins, and big 2 liter/1 liter beer boots. The prices are reasonable for what you get, just invest in the half liter steins. All of the glassware can be purchased, some of them are quite neat. I did not really get food, but my buddy had a burger and it looked real good. I did however have some beer pretzels and those were quite good. A cool place to bring a large group of friends.“

“Nice selection of over 100 drafts. Friendly bartenders that are somewhat knowledgable; better than the first time I came here. Your best bet is latenight happy hour Sunday-Wednesday after 10pm. $1 off drafts and 1/2 price appetizers. Food is above average. Weekends are packed and it becomes a place people go to be seen. Club-type people drinking martinis with a "look at me" attitude. Who gets dressed all fancy to go to a bar to hang out?“

“I really like this place, 130 taps or so. Nice atmosphere, full of kinda jerky club people though, easy to spot them: look for the guys holding pint glasses full of pale lager. The food is terrific, I recommend the beef dip. Big bar, often busy, might take a while to get seating. Spend that time drinking at the bar. Reasonable prices on their brews and food. Great place to bring friends.“

“Really small, often busy little bar. Dark and dreary atmosphere, live music at times. The crowd is interesting, perfect place to people watch. Nice selection of beers at decent prices, and good food. Staff is friendly, but getting service might take a while. Not a bad place, but there are better ones. Finding parking might also be a pain at times.“

“It’s just a fancy store with fancy (good) food and fancy wines and fancy BEER! It’s not the best thing in the world for beer there, but there are some good things. The service (for beer) sucks because most likely the beer shopper can educate them instead of the opposite! I’d rather go to either of the two quicky marts in the area (ponce de leon next to Titanic and dominos or the one on le jeune crossing us1 next to the don pan). They have some goood stuff!“

“If you’re able to get a seat or a table, you’re gold, but not 24 karat gold. More like 10 karat gold. That is because, yes, you have a seat (which are hard to come by in prime time) but the service is ooook and not 24 karat gold. I hope I made sense lol. Look, if you live or work in Coral Gables, there are other good places too, but you should really try this place and see for yourself because if you go at the right time, you’ll really have fun. Go before 8. As in, if you’re there by 8 on a weekend, get ready to wait 2 hours if you’re with a group. Happy pouring!“

“You should only come here for sole purpose of adding a lot of beers to your ratings. Just about all of their year long brews taste ridiculously watered down while their seasonals are not too bad. The prices are pretty good, I had fish and chips, dessert, a six-beer sampler and a pint for $30. The fish and chips sucked and the waiter did too, tho. Worst part was the horrible cover band that found it necessary to yell "thank you" when no one was cheering. that being said, I will return to try what I have not yet had.“

“For a supermarket in the Miami area this place has a great selection and the prices are better than ABC and about the same with Total Wine. I was in a few weeks ago and saw Aventinus on sale for $2.99 a bottle, usually $3.50 - $3.80. Total score is low because the staff doesn’t know too much about beer but that is fine for a place like this.“
