Previously called Golden Champion Ale
The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summer’s evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled. On a balmy evening in Stanpit Marsh, a cool breeze blows and a calm encompasses the vast reserve. Amongst the wild horses, you may see Golden Champion, a headstrong but loyal stallion who enjoys the warm days grazing in th fields. The subtle elderflower aromas of this delicately floral brew are reminiscent of a summer’s evening. This divine all-rounder is a great companion for smoky, chargrilled chicken and peppery rocket salad.

Bottled 0,50L. Dark blonde/orange color, bubbly and medium fizzy aspect with good creamy white head of medium duration. Fresh and light prickly citrus nose, wheat, pale malt, corn and butter aromas. Fizzy and lively taste, pleasant alcoholic impression, fresh malty, bit citrus and field/dry straw aromas.

Bottle 500 ml ABV 4.5 % from Tesco. Pours clear gold-amber body with white head. Aroma is malts, caramel, biscuit, citrus and some grass. Taste is mild bitter with sweet malts, biscuit, wood, caramel. I actually like these kind of traditional half litre supermarket ales.

AleMan84 (24) - Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2018
Hoppy, grapefruit aroma, smooth palate not much depth to the taste, the hops are there but in the background theres more bready biscuity flavours than anything else.

Piw (1670) - Rüsselsheim, GERMANY - SEP 18, 2018
500ml Flasche. Klar und golden mit minimaler Schaumkrone. Leicht hopfig. Leichter Körper. Wässrig. Milder Geschmack.

spiffero (180) - Camelford, Cornwall, ENGLAND - MAR 11, 2018
UPDATED: APR 26, 2018 Pours orange gold, with a good head that laces down the glass. I enjoy the aroma, which is unique to this beer--like the smell of the rubber sole of a new pair of bedroom slippers. The flavour might not be for everyone, but it is right up my street, with touches of cheese bread dipped in meaty gravy. Sure there are golden malty tones and light hop tones too, but this strange beer has no bitterness. I blasted love it, and no mistake.

Grumbo (8237) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2017
Bottle. Poured deep amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hop, citrus and notes of light elderflower. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. One of H&W better ones.
