COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered. Since 2023, also in keg. ABV reduced from 5% to 4.5% around 2018. Previously called Golden Champion Ale The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summer’s evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled. On a balmy evening in Stanpit Marsh, a cool breeze blows and a calm encompasses the vast reserve. Amongst the wild horses, you may see Golden Champion, a headstrong but loyal stallion who enjoys the warm days grazing in th fields. The subtle elderflower aromas of this delicately floral brew are reminiscent of a summer’s evening. This divine all-rounder is a great companion for smoky, chargrilled chicken and peppery rocket salad.

Beer5000 (10650) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 21, 2023
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2023 Tap @ Patricks. Clear golden body under a moderate sized, lacing white head. Aroma is a bit weak, but clean and nice with just malt. Taste has a really smooth, soft malt flavor, hint of fruity hops, a floral touch and moderate bitterness. Medium body with the same smooth malty aftertaste. Not particular exiting, but a well made golden ale within the style without any off flavors.

brexitgiftshop (303) - GERMANY - AUG 25, 2023
UPDATED: AUG 25, 2023 Nice rustic heritage Roald Dahl meets Beatrix Potter design. Muted calming colour beiges. Golden vistas, medium head. Fine porous. Musty nose, malty, bready, some hoppy sunshime too. Lightish fresh taste, some citrusy hops, standard golden ale I'm thinking. 4.5% ABV can have a couple. Nothing to write home about but for style very solid. Part of Badger selection pack Waitrose Keynsham. The pack is certainly worth buying, some great beers even if not radically different! Fine purveyors of English heritage brews.
