UPDATED: OCT 28, 2022 Robe ambrée / rousse, belle mousse crémeuse blanche aux reflets roux, qui laisse une dentelle sur le verre. Le nez à une dominante d'arômes de caramel et toffee, légères notes herbeuses. La bouche est plutôt sucrée, caramel et biscuit, touche de houblons herbeux. Corps moyen, longueur moyenne, bonne carbo. Excellente bière ambrée, assez classique.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2021 Old rating from 11-06-16 - A 330 ml bottle picked up in Cassel, Northern France last summer. Pours a cloudy dark red colour with a beige foamy head. Aromas of caramel, red fruit & malt. Tastes of toasted caramel malt, red fruit & bread. Medium to light bodied. Aftertaste is lightly bitter with caramel & red fruit.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2020 Draught at La Biche & Le Renard, Lille. Clouded red copper with off white head. Bready sweet caramel, toffee and soft stone fruits. Mid roasted malts, cereals, heavyish on the palate. It's fine.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2019 Draft pour into a teku. The beer is a clear dark amber with a beige head of foam. The aroma has doughy toffee and soft roasty notes. Very nice toasty notes. Malty and comforting beer. Thicker mouthfeel. Medium carbonation.

Not much of a nose, a hint of nuts and banana. Cloudy caramel color with no head. A pleasant taste of nuts and banana, lighter body with a banana finish.

F: big, tan, good retention. C: dark coppery, bit hazy. A: malty, caramel, mellow fruity, bit herbal, mineral, bit brett. T: caramel malty, herbal, bit dark bready, banana, medium body and carbonation, good balanced, not bad, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from the brewery.

Bottle, picked up in Paris. Reddish brown colour, white foam. Nice sweet caramel malty beer with a hint of yeast and a slightly spicy hop. Nice, quite light, not cloying.

Draft at BXL Beer Fest, Brussels ’17. Hazy amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, herbs and light ripe red fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
