Slightly bitter at first but soon became a well rounded medium bodied beer. Tastes like it was bottle conditioned.A good example of this style and worth trying. A new brewery for me.

17Beer (1867) - Weston, Connecticut, USA - APR 17, 2019UPDATED: APR 17, 2019 One pint bottle. Pours a deep brown with a big proper tan head. Smells of malt with an edge of vegetal funk and coffee grounds. Complex flavors work well together but more bite than the usual porter. Oily mouthfeel and short sort of sticky finish. Tim Webb (507) - Cullompton, Devon, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 201550 cl bottle bought at Ireland’s best garage for beer, in Killarney. Taken home to enjoy. My fourth - all sourced from western Ireland. This is the best porter made currently in Ireland, which all should emulate. Otherwise the usual delightful mishmash of lanolin, peach blossom, tarmac and toothpaste that marks a great porter.
No, you’re right, that’s twaddle. Only joking. But it’s great - not joking.
