COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Granit" définit la roche où les racines du poirier plonge dans les failles de granit. Le système racinaire du poirier en profondeur marque sa minéralité. Cet aspect est davantage présent sur cette cuvée issue d’arbres très anciens. Assemblage d’un maximum de variétés dans le respect du millésime.

The nose expresses stony notes(chalk,flint), fresh herbs and mint,joined by notes of pear,quince, pine apple and caramel.The palate offers acidulated apple flavours. A remarkable and complex poiré made from three hundred years old trees.Good ageing potential.

Bottle from Etre. 2016 5% version. It pours clear pale rose gold with a medium foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, sumptuous, perfumed, juicy pear, ice cidre, tart tatin, bit of must and candy cane. The taste is crisp, clean, dry, tart, sweet - sour, bright, spritzy, juicy pear, oily, white grape, gooseberry, vinous and just a touch of sherbet with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Juicy. Rich and sumptuous. Tasty stuff with loads of flavour for the abv.

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Danny, 05/09/18. Pale golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is sweet pear, ice cider notes, grassy, sugars. Taste comprises pear tart, stewed pears, vanilla icing, light orchard wood. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent perry.

Can shared at a Columbus tasting 05/09/2018. Many thanks! A clear petrol coloured pour with a fien white head. Aroma is sweet, airy, woody, vanilla, meaty, Flavour is sour acidic pear, crisp, woody notes, semi sweet, . Palate is semi sweet, tangy, pear, prickly highish carbosantion. .

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Danny. Pours clear, pale yellow, with a fine, creamy white head. Very ashy, nice and true apple and pear notes, a little ripe apple, soft acidity, low bitterness. Medium bodied with delicate carbonation. Sweet finish but also drying, not at all cloying, rounded ripening pear, soft lemony notes. Great stuff.
