COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Australian hops do all the talking with this crisp and refreshing pale ale. To help bring out its true character, we have triple hopped it with Australian summer hops to give it a lovely subtle pink grapfruit aroma and bitter yet tropical fruit finish. Where does the name "Born in a Day" come from? It is told that the great Irish warrior Dagda stopped the sun in the sky for nine long months in order to protect a secret love and allow his son Aengus be born in a day. Drink to the mighty God with this bright and refreshing pale ale!

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of spices, hops, fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, straw, citrus fruits, flowers, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

What I love about this cheeky little rascal is a delicious full flavor, pine, citrus and zest with some lovely nutty bitterness - and yet comes in at a respectable 4.8%abv making it an excellent sessionable apa The draught offering in scholars, drogheda is to die for, elsewhere on tap its often not curated properly. The bottles seem to lose some of the flavor and are gassy.

Bottle from OBriens, Athlone [270516]
Amber, slight haze, frothy fluffy white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft grapefruit, soft zest, no malts
Taste of grapefruit zest, soft sweet pale malt background, bitter citrus zest, some tropical fruit, plenty of hops in this, quite a pungent flavour
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, bitter zest hops, texture a bit chalky though. Finish is rather dry, bitter zest, dry bitterness
Overall - Good punch to this, strong flavour for abv
