COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Tart Saison is brewed in the Belgian tradition of tart farmhouse ales. The magic happens when our house blend of Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus and Saison yeast throw an out-of-this-world party in our fermenters. Aged on passion fruit, this yields a beer with a lacto forward nose, an intensely tart fruit flavor, a doughy complexity, and takes the word "refreshing" to a whole new level.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2020 July 20th, 2016 - RIP Council, but back in 2016 they had a wide variety of delicious sours available. The Passion Fruit Beatitude is a light straw colored brew, with an aroma of unripened citrus fruits, and some grassy and hay notes. The flavor is more of passion fruit and hay, with a notable sour burn down the gullet.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2020 Copenhagen 29/3 2020. 75 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgaard web-shop. Council's usual design for the Béatitude brand this time with an orange textured piece of cloth. Pours unclear, pale yellow with a small, bubbly white head. Disappears after a few seconds leaving what looks like a lemonade behind. No lacing. Aroma is intense with sweet fermented fruit, funk and sourness. Sweet passion fruit, lightly decayed. Sugary. Tart citrus concentrate. Quite prominent funky odor. Brett. Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is fairly intense. Medium sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is acerbic and sour. Lingers for a while. Tart, dry finish. Strong tart sourness with a touch of funk meeting fermented passion fruit and leaving my mouth bone dry.

Getting some oak and vanilla, little brett, Fruity and refreshing summer treat. Not too acidic, just right level of tartness.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2019 A 750ml bottle, bottled on (I think) 1st April 2016. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass. It was a lightly hazy golden straw yellow colour with a two finger white head that dissipated quickly and left sparse to no lacing. Aromas tart, sour, passion fruit, a touch of guava and light funk. Tastes sour, tart, passion fruit, lemon juice and vinegar. Acidic, light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Overall this was nice in small amounts. Aroma was nice with lots of tropical fruit. Taste had a bit too much vinegar and lemon juice for me, which overpowered the passion fruit, and created acidity that made it hard to finish a whole bottle.

On tap at Salud Beer Shop, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh passionfruit, with lots of acidity. Flavour is intensely acidic, with tropical passionfruit, intense acidity and light saison yeast. Really fresh and expressive tropical fruitiness, but the acidity is a bit much. Good beer.
