COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rappigold is a full bodied bitter ale brewed with English yeast, German malts, Swiss hops and Slovenian hops. Stylewise, this beer leans to the English Bitter style but is served cooler and with more carbonation. This is an unfiltered, natural ale and is slightly hazy. The yeast and hop fruity aromas typical to ales are combined with caramel notes from the malt. The distinct hop bitterness is balanced in part with residual malt sweetness. Depending on the age of this real ale, the finish can range from slightly sweet to drier and therefore more bitter.

330ml bottle served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange color that forms a big light white head with good retention that leaves lots of lingering molasses lacings in the glass. Nose of very citrus and herby with some notes of grapefruit and earth. Slightly bready yeast. Taste is slightly sweet in upfront. Notes of pale malts, grapefruit, citrus and grassy hops. In overall, the taste is dry with light but well balanced bitterness. Light body. Average carbonation. Sweet malts, earth and herby hops in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. More to an America Pale Ale than to a Blond Ale.

Keg at The International Beer Bar, Zurich, Switzerland, Friday 24th June 2016. Pours gold in colour with a large frothy head that subsided swiftly. A very agreeable beer, nicely bitter, soft in the mouth, quickly runs to dry, nice refreshing beer enjoyed this. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

I bought this beer at Amstein and I drink it at home in Lausanne. It is a correct ale. The color is orange and troubled. The smell at the nose is citrus and at the mouth is citrus, hop, malt and bitter, a bit watery but is ok, average carbonation and final note of bitterness.
