COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark golden XXX IPA that goes to the end of the galaxy to fight the forces of the evil empire. A limited, once-a-year production. Not a hop was spared in the production of this triple IPA. With a soft malty background and an assertive bitterness, this ale rounds out with aromas of citrus and spice.

Bottle. 10.9%. Best before 02.02.19. 10 cl. sample. Pours a hazy brown, with an off-white/light tan head. Hoppy aroma with dark fruits, malt, and a light dusty note/hint of cardboard. Faint hint of mint as it warms. Flavour is sweetish, with malt, hops, dark fruits, and a funky/old hops hint. A bit fat. Sugary hint and a light bread note as it warms. Bitter finish with (dark) fruits and hops. Overall good. A wee bit too heavy maybe. 13.01.18.

NORSAND (121) - Lillestrøm, NORWAY - DEC 12, 2017
Brewed 8 months ago (best by 05.04.19, so presumably brewed in April 2017) Medium amber colour with a smal, lasting head. Nose: Lovely nose with fruity, citrusy hoppiness and sweet caramel. With more time it opens up, revealing more citrus, butterscotch, hay, butter, barn aromas and a hint of banana cake. It’s actually very vinous on the nose. The brewery claims “aromas of citrus” but I dont really find those. Taste: The arrival is richly carbonated, slight sweet and with very moderate dryness and almost no bitterness for its 100 IBU. The body is full and the texture quite creamy. The exit is still malt sweet, but rich in hops, dominated by hay and pine flavours. The aftertaste is slightly bitter-sweet and long. Imperial IPA or over-hopped barley wine? Who cares, it’s a lovely beer anyway! Has the potential to develop interestingly (and gradually morph into something else) over the next three to five (?) years.

A dark golden color, this Triple IPA goes to the end of the galaxy to fight the forces of evil empire. With a soft malty background and a definite bitterness, this beer complements the enormous aroma of citrus, lemon and spices. Come to the dark side, we have Beer !

Bottle shared in High Wycombe, Cloin's House warming. 05/11/2016. Thanks! A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is aplae grins, nice peach, nectarine, jammy orange hop. flavour is composed of semi sweet, tangerine, orange and mango notes. Palate is sticky hop, highish carbonation. I like it. Good stuff.
