UPDATED: MAY 10, 2022 Bottle, labelled Premium Bitter. Golden amber with a small white head that lasts pretty well. Aroma is biscuity with some peach and very English citrus. So it tastes. Dryish with some floral and peppery notes as well as fruit. Fairly bitter end. Satisfying.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2020 Bottle from the brewery. Deep golden colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste are malty fairly dry. Medium body.

Blond colour with decent head. Aroma and flavour have diacetyl and butter. Apple pips. No trace of citrus that was described.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2019 Tight white bubbly head stayed on a translucent pale golden body. Floral, pale malt & pine aroma. Medium bodied, clean on the palate with a sharp back. Bitter tangy tastes with hops, pith, grass, grain & metallic.

12/6/2018. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours clear bright gold with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma of hops, caramel, fruit, malt and grass. Medium sweetness with moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Some bitterness to finish. Easy drinking ale.

500ml bottle (BB Feb 2015). Deep golden amber color. Medium size, off-white head, stays. Bit metallic, malty, grainy, herbal hops in aroma. Dusty, grainy, husky, herbal hops and bit papery in taste. Spicy herbal hops and dusty paper and some nuttiness in aftertaste. Solid grainy and hard candy caramelly mouthfeel. Well preserved and solid brew.

Bottle @ Cotteridge Wines. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 270717

Bottle from the CAMRA stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. Hazy golden-amber with a negligible white head. Predominantly malty with mild grass and citrus and a dryish dusty finish. A very English bitter. OK.
