COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pilsner Urquell Nefiltrovaný (unfiltered) is available regularly only at Na Parkanu in Plzen and, every October at selected pubs under the Volba Sladků brand. A limited number of kegs were exported to Sweden and Finland for special events. Though the beer is not kvasnicovy (yeast beer), as there is no wort or young yeast added, it is unfiltered. Note that this is not the same as the more widespread tankovná (tank beer) or the unpasteurized (filtered) version, both of which are found throughout Prague and Czech Republic. all of these other versions should be reviewed under the regular Pilsner Urquell entry. Additionally, the 170 year Anniversary flip-top bottles should be reviewed under the regular Pilsner Urquell entry. The version of the beer available in the brewery cellars should be rated in its own entry.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2023 330ml pour enjoin it with schnitzel. Appearance: a bit hazy straw with a huge white head. Aroma: hoppy, cracker malts. Taste: crispy, floral hops, some 'authentic dirt' coming from unfiltered origin. Overall: good for what it is.

Yorker (5509) - Nowhere in particular, DENMARK - APR 7, 2023
UPDATED: APR 7, 2023 Tap. Pours pretty much clear golden with a white head. Aroma and flavour are grains, hops, and malt - with a slightly dry finish. Had hoped this would be better than the canned version - it wasn't.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2022 Cask@Hangar, Strakonice. October brewers’ choice (volba sladků). Drank side by side with a filtered cask version. The difference seems ever so slight, both are excellent beers. The unfiltered one perhaps slightly ‘fresher’ grassy tones.

mcberko (40110) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 11, 2022
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2022 On tap at Na Parkanu, pours a cloudy golden with a huge white head. Aroma brings out a nice earthy character, with more subdued hops than the direct-from-oak-barrel version. Flavour is earthy and bready, spicy hops, grass, and crisp biscuity malt. Biting, crisp and spicy. Definitely way better than the original.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2022 0.5l tap at Na Parkanu. Pours unclear orange golden with a stable creamy head. Buttery, lemony, biscuity, vanilla, grain, malt some caramel, noble grassy hops, zesty notes. Mild dry hoppy zesty bitterness, malty grainy sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively to soft carbonated, dry hoppy zesty grainy buttery finish. Excellent!
