LakatosKE (1902) - Bratislava, SLOVAKIA - NOV 28, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2021 Black color with low beige head. Aroma: coffee, vanilla beans, chocolate mudcake, cocoa. Taste: sweetish, oily palate, vanilla, coffee, loads of dark chocolate. Full bodied, low carbonation, high bitterness. Delish, definition of winter dessert sipper.

nathanvc (6000) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAY 10, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2021 Bottle from Struise Shop - might be 2yrs old. Cloudy pitch-black, stable, foamy, dark beige head. Powerful, luscious aroma of cold espresso, vanilla bean, cream liqueur, dried fig, date, plum, soy sauce, tobacco, molten fondant, macadamia, nougat, clove, beef jerky, fried mushroom. Taste has sweet candied fig, date & plum wrapped into a thick malty profile of milk chocolate, fondant, dark fudge & nougat. Light toasty maltiness in the middle, more pronounced bitter fondant and coffee bean, pairing well with an earthy-umami aspect of mushroom & soy, whilst creamy vanilla 'mollifies' that part somewhat. Earthy-peppery hoppy in the finish, very natural and strong coffee roast & bean mixing with tobacco, fondant and slight vanilla cream again, topped off by warming (Irish) whisky alcohol. Full body, syrupy-oily texture, soft carbonation. Ridiculously enticing and delicious, oh so heavy on the natural coffee yet offering sufficient 'creamy' malty aspects.

Beer5000 (10672) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 7, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2021 Backlog January 2019. Pitch black body under a nice, dense, brown head. Almost intense aroma of confectionery. Taste is sweet, malt, chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Way too pastry for me, but damn god – my guilty pleasure.

brokensail (21480) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 25, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2020 On tap @ City Beer. Black beer with a mocha head. Sweet molasses, vanilla, and chocolate. A really strong licorice aroma and flavor to this. To the point that the licorice almost dominates. Heavy on the roasted malt, some coffee notes, and a bit of soy sauce. Strong bitterness to this beer, actually. Just kind of all over the place. Not really my jam.
