COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A continuation of our Northern Comic Book Heroes collaborations with illustrator Ben Mather. This time our buddies at Siren came down to give us a helping hand. This Double IPA is a hark back to old school West Coast brewing. Expect citrus and tropical notes, with a lasting bitter finish (I know right?!)

44cl can de Drink Store, Dublin @ Nimaye craft beer tasting.

Can from Valhalla's Goat. Dark yellow, not much head. Mild boiled sweet grain aroma. Bubble gum grain flavour. Bitter sweet aftertaste.

Keg at The Northern Monk Refectory, Leeds, Yorkshire. A hazy golden/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, orange, slightly thin for the ABV. Not a bad DIPA but I expected a lot more.

500 ml can, thanks FatPhil. Got a mid-can pour so nice creamy look on that, orange and cloudy. Nice fresh hoppy nose, brisk and grassy, dank if you will. Taste has obviously good level of bitterness, lots of tropical fruits, mostly overripe. Resiny and full of hop oils, pretty fresh, grapefruit peels and seeds. Hop bomb that delivers, bit harsh maybe but I do enjoy this. A lot.

500ml can (Bacchanalia, Cambridge) (5:3:6:4:13=3.1)
Can starts to pour cloudy quite early on. Grapefruit pips in the clear glass's aroma, with a soapy hoppy taste. Misty/hazy glass had a starchy aroma. Some fruity hops too. Mashy sweet taste, accompanied by some stankiness to the hops... Mosaic? Fullish palate, pleasant bitter finish. Alcohol is kinda covered, but it's clearly a big bold beer. Best bit is the resiny zesty tingly finish.

500ml can, thanks FatPhil. Pours clear golden, white head stays. Aroma is sweet, marmalade, fruity, some cat pee. Taste is sweet, malty, harsh hoppy in throat, but not hoppy enough in taste Citrussy in aftertaste. Kinda oily texture. Medium bodied, average carbo. Way too sweet, alcohol is covered behind sweetness.
