UPDATED: AUG 24, 2020 I had this beer at Aces and Ales in Las Vegas on tap along with a host of other high level imperial stouts. Of additional impact, this is my 100th imperial stout to rate, easily the most of any style and one of my favorites of course. It came to me as the 2017 version of Fyodor’s. Very black certainly in appearance with a dark mahogany skim of foam. The nose was chocolate with a hint of coffee. But it was the taste I was there for. Really good. Bakers chocolate, dark wheat bread, toffee and malt with a great finishing bitterness. Potent with the bourbon effect and tasty. Smooth too. BREWMUSKCLES (3071) - New Jersey, USA - APR 16, 2020
UPDATED: APR 16, 2020 Sugar Vanilla and Old Grandad. Roasted Cocoa and chocolate the alcohol makes it seem light while the dark fruits give it wafting body and chew. Vanilla for balance i am sure. Black as coal with eerie dark brown lacing that slithers around the top of the glass like a snake and gets swallowed by the alcohol or done in by Pappy.Licorice? oh yeah. Some Caramel dang in Earthy ash.. davidezdonz (1323) - Hong Kong, HONG KONG - DEC 18, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2019 As Stone Fyodor. A 500ml corked and caged bottle, 2017 Series, Batch No.02, bottled in October 2017. Poured into a snifter glass. It poured black in colour with a thin brown head that dissipated almost immediately and left only sparse to no lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, dark fruits, prunes, raisins, molasses, oak, with touches of bourbon and vanilla. Tastes sweet, boozy, bourbon, light roast, chocolate, coffee, molasses, dark fruit, plum, prunes, raisins. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall sweet and boozy, which is not a preferable combination for me as I find it too rich, and not easy to drink, even if just sipping. I preferred Stone Mikhail a lot more as I felt that was much more balanced. piwnanuta (1051) - Warsaw, POLAND - DEC 10, 2019

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2020 Fyodor 2018, 13.1% Bottle. Heavy malt notes of molasses, toasted and bitter chocolate, light resin for the hops, moderate earth and dried leaves for the yeast, with bourbon and charred wood in the background. Head is small, fizzy turning wispy, light brown, with thick but slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and heavily bitter. Palate is full, oily, with a lively carbonation and a heavily alcoholic and moderately astringent finish. Great Imperial Stout with some harsh aspects, but depth and complexity is all there. drjoeng (2089) - SINGAPORE - OCT 26, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2019 13%ABV. Russian imperial stout
Poured out black. 40°SRM.
Nose has aromas of bourbon oak, vanilla, hints of woodsmoke, burnt sugar, muscovado sugar, molasses, dark chocolate, coffee grounds, and dark chocolate, hints of cacao pods.
Mouthfeel is watered honey. Syrupy and almost oily. Hot and solventy.
Palate has flavors of black bread, chocolate cake, dark toast. There are roasty flavors of burnt toast, burnt twigs. There is a hint of wine with some slight astringency, grape must, and a bit of fruit.
Hop flavors are woody, hint of herbal and floral.
Finish is surprisingly smooth.
Overall, my favorite today over the Mikhail. shawnmurphy (1584) - Plattsburgh, New York, USA - SEP 19, 2019
