COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re focusing a bit more on our Aussie selection this month with another big dirty jammy murky soupy norman of a double banger. Shades of Marble takes our usual grist of Maris Otter, Wheat Malt and Malted Oats and this time lathers a 100% whirlpool charge of Vic Secret before meeting Vermont Ale yeast in the fermenter. It’s then undergone two stages of dry hopping, or a ‘double dry hop’ schedule if you will, of repeated assaults from 20g/L of Galaxy, Vic Secret and Lemondrop until it’s singing. This one’s heavy with a deluge of peaches, apricots, passion fruit, mangoes, nectarines, strawberries with a final zip of lemon zest and a touch of dank.

(commercial description) Aroma presents stone fruits (like mango and nectarines), lemony and earthy notes, without promising any sweetness. Hazy orange, some sediment, frothy head, with high retention and generous lacing. Medium bitterness, but some malty sweetness as well. Hop dominates, with peachy and tropical flavours, dank, earthy and lemony. Unfortunately a hint of oxidation would suggest of this being massive when fresher. On the palate, smoothness and sharpness from the hops, booze very well hidden. Overall quite good, on the bitter side, interested in trying this fresher.
