The best thing about this beer is the cool-ass bottle it comes in. After that, it's all downhill. Oh well, the bottle can be re-used for my home brewed wine.

WillemsUrenkel (4953) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 10, 2023
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2023 0,5 l can bought in a supermarket in Rhodes town as a 'greek beer' with a greek company address and descriptions in greek letters. Clear golden in the glass, with a short living small white one finger head. Sweet malty, maybe corn or rice on the nose. Taste is watery, short apple fruity section, then again water with some hop. Boring stuff

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2021 Bottle at Σήμερον έχει παγωτό' or translated into English 'He has ice cream today Café 😂. Had this after a hot and very boring road walk from our campsite, Wednesday 1st September 2021. Apparently this is marketed under different names including Biere d'Alsace in UK supermarkets, so probably 20+ years ago I would have been buying the 10-12 packs from Sainsbury's. Pours gold, good clarity, with a white head. Middling bitterness, it's refreshing, it's ok.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2020 This is a beer for warm climates, so long as it’s cold. You’ll never wax lyrical about the lingering finish, or grainy notes, it is what the label says, beer, and that’s about all there is to say. Not terrible, but not good either in any case you could do a lot worse!
