2.9 Goodwood Grogger Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, spicy. Light hoppy dry background. Finish well balanced, a bit thin. Okay. Sunday, April 19, 2020

3.2 Goodwood Grogger Bottle from Garsons Farm Shop. Malt and honey aroma. Amber. Thick foamy white head. Light bitter with a sweet and sour edge that gradually comes to the fore. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Basic but drinkable fruity bitter. Saturday, June 29, 2019

3.2 Goodwood Lucky Leap Bottle from Garsons Farm Shop. Floral and grassy aroma with malts. Dark gold. Creamy white head. Light bitter. Sour citrus streak. Herbs and veg. Underlying malts. Sweetness appears right at the end. Light bodied. Slick but thin. Fizzy carbonation. Abrupt finish. Oldschool brewery producing an APA that could have started life as a Golden Ale. Drinkable. 3.4 Goodwood Sussex Ale Bottle at my sister's house. A typical English style IPA with a lot of farmyard and a lovely thirst quenching mouthfeel. Nothing spectacular, but perfectly pleasant. Monday, August 20, 2018

2.2 Goodwood Festival Lager Bottled, 500ml from Hennings Wine Merchant, Chichester, W.Sussex. Hazy gold with fast disappearing head. Sweet, musty, slightly skunky beer, damp cereal, bready. Not very good. Monday, August 31, 2015

2.7 Goodwood Sussex Ale Cask conditioned at The Grey Stag, Sidlesham, W.Sussex. Cloudy Gold with white head. This tasted rather similar to a wheat ale, pear drops, yeasty, fruity. Pretty sure it shouldn’t have been like this but it cost a fortune. Disappointed. Saturday, August 1, 2015

2.8 Goodwood Sussex Ale Bottle from Tesco and drunk at home. Clear pale gold lasting thin white head. A little bit of caramel on the aroma. It’s a very light pale pale. OK, if a little thin. Some pale malt, some light citrus hops. A bit like a kolsch to be honest but not quite as good. Fine. Wednesday, January 28, 2015

2.7 Goodwood Festival Lager Bottle from Tesco and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting thin white head. Some lager malt some lemon something not quite right or odd on the aroma. In the mouth it’s fine, nothing too exciting but it’s an ok helles. Something odd on aroma which comes through on finish too. But rest is ok. Wednesday, October 29, 2014

1.6 Goodwood Festival Lager Disgusting stuff with a crazily finish of skunk. Beside this alot of vanilla pudding in taste and aroma. And I am sure our bottle was NOT infected, Tuesday, September 9, 2014

1.7 Goodwood Festival Lager Bottle from Tesco in Eastbourne. Pours out in a clear ligth golden colour with low head and medium body. Awful aroma of straw and grains followed by a worse taste of old, dusty hops, old grandmothers un-well done cake, grains, basement. Grainy and dusty finish. Unenjoyable. 3.5 Goodwood Sussex Ale A cloudy amber colour with a soon-fading white head. The aroma is strongly malty with plenty of hops. There is a huge malt hit in the taste - lots of bread, straw and biscuit. Also very good hop taste - quite leafy and grassy plus hints of fruitcake. This organic beer is full of flavours! Very good mouth feel and excellent balance. Nice long finish. An unusually rich bitter, more like a golden ale. I would recommend this highly. Monday, August 25, 2014

3.9 Goodwood Sussex Ale Bottle from Tesco, Eastbourne shared with McTapps. Fine one with that special cloudy and hoppy aroma which you rarely find. Similar to that superb Tap5 from Schneider. Very easy to drink, very quaffy and with a thick fruity heart. Liked it a lot. Monday, August 25, 2014

3.5 Goodwood Sussex Ale 500ml brown bottle from beer store in Brighton. Pale gold appearance. A clean biscuit malt, very soft and sweet. Gentle and attractive flowery hops. A very attractive and personable beer from Hepworth (contract brewed for Goodwood Farms). They do make solid beers. What they lack in character they make up for in simple brewing competence.
