Moravius	3 Barnikel Lager Hell Im urigen Wirtshaus in Herrnsdorf als “Bier“ bestellt. - Goldgelb, klar. - Mild hellmalzig und angenehm leicht hopfenherb mit mild grasigen, eher vagen Hopfenaromen. Milde, leicht zuckrige Restsüße. Gut rezent, zart mineralisch, sehr süffig. - Angenehmes Landbier, eigentlich nichts Besonderes aber in dieser urtümlichen Wirtschaft schmeckt wohl jedes Bier gleich besser. Malty aroma of candy sugar, pale malt honey pastries, hops are faint peach, faint off-notes of detergent, plastic and cauliflower (DMS), which sounds bad but again, it’s a mild off-aroma. Clean, malty pilsner with medium bitterness, lightly spicy / peppery, low citrus / lemon quality, more similar to low-hopped Pilsner or Helles. Faint papery off-notes of grain husks and potato starch. Fine carbonation and zesty lemon noble hop bitterness. Carbonic acidity is quenching and saliva-inducing. MoritzF	3.3 Barnikel Weizen (swing top bottle, purchased at the brewery a couple of days ago) Hazy, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Wheat-malty and yeasty aroma with phenolic clovy spices and a moderately fruity touch of bananas. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Present wheaty base with a milky touch, banana and a whiff of barnyard and cloves; sweet and minimally sourish wheat-malty finish with notes of banana and hints of vanilla in the aftertaste. Slightly sweet and toasted malty aroma with berry-fruity notes and a tinge of barnyard, diacetyl. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a flat carbonation. Mildly toasted malty taste with a whiff of caramel and fruity notes; slightly sweet and roasty bitter finish with subtle fruity notes. Not really convincing. Slightly bready and yeasty malty aroma with a shy hoppy touch. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Pale malt-character with bready and grainy spots; moderately dry and bitter sweet finish. Not a highlight in Franconia.
