Sparkling very pale yellow gold colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of pear, fruit, sulphury hint. Taste is sweet, ripe pear, fleshy, fruity, sugary, with a hint of musty funk and some mellow soft tannin. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, light carbonation, medium sweet peary finish. Scopey	2.8 Westons Henry Westons Vintage Pear Cider Bottle from Tesco online. It pours super pear greenish - gold with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is deep dirty funk, manure, barnyard, sweet powdery pear, pear skin, sugary, tangy, tart, bit zingy and sherbety. The taste is crispy, crunchy, quite sweet and sugary upfront, sticky, super ripe pear, golden delicious apple, melon, some honey, pear skin and leather with some muted alcohol with a soft, poached pear finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Decent elements to it, but ultimately it's far too sweet. Sunday, May 19, 2024

Clean apple nose with some tannins. Medium body, an initial sweetness but quickly strong and leathery tannins comes creeping in. Pleasantly sweet apple flesh and woody cider aroma, even some toffee in the sweetness. Gently tart palate, not too light, not too aggressive, fairly goldilocks. Dryish scrumpy-ish cider taste, but pleasantly sweet. The lower pour was a bit hazier, and a little drier, so I guess the average of all the stuff in all the liquid is about right. Lovely drinkability, refreshing, not saying 7.3% at all. A bit like the Old Rosie of yore, just after they invented bag-in-a-box. Classic. Monday, December 18, 2023

The taste is slick, oily, sweet, sugary, crunchy apple, smart price apple juice, hint of acidity, apple skin, light oak tannin and dull alcohol with a slick, sweet finish.
