Ours is rectangle and it doesn’t extend the full length of the bottom in it, it was designed for a cylinder tun but we only had a rectangle. I’m thinking we might need a longer hose.

That may be true but my DIY skills are less than zero. I don’t even allow myself to own a single power tool. I just don’t trust myself with an electric drill.

I believe that my mesh screen is off of a dishwasher hose. I think you can buy them for about $15. Then you just have to work it off after cutting the ends off.

And, of course, so you can be more like me. Though you’d still need a SST ball valve and Bazooka. Don’t like the looks of that plastic tap, nor not knowing what they’re using for a "wort separator". Quality has its price.
