Given the last two days, this may be IT. On the off chance we get similar heat in later months, what would be your ideal summer ale?
I suspect summer is the premium season for craft versus cask. But that may be a novice talking.
Anyway what beer for the beer garden?

Do you mean ’keg’ versus cask? ’Craft beer’ has nothing to do with dispense method.

Anyway, when it’s hot I definitely - on average - favour lower alcohol, more sessionable stuff, so goldes, saisons, moderate alcohol hoppy beers and lagers are all welcome. I’ll still drink strong stuff, and dark stuff, but they wouldn’t be my first choices.

Though this earlier when I had a black IPA. Just did not work for me in the heat.

A sunny day is perfect for a pale lager country tick as you can actually get some enjoyment from it in those conditions

You can’t beat a big flagon of West Country Scrumpy Cider.

When the heat rises, nothing beats a good sharp sour for me.. currently that means De Ranke & Tommie Sjef hitting the fridge space.

Sussex Best when in top shape. Summer Lightning when fresh. Dark Star Hophead. That Notting Hill dry-hopped sour I had a couple of years ago was fucking spectacular.

Well obviously the first thing I turn to is air conditioning, there is no need for anything over 70°f, ever. But failing that, it’s time to reach for the geueze
