Going to a hog roast tomorow and my contribution is mac & cheese. What’s your favorite recipe? I do the classic bechamel sauce base: |
I made some the other day that had carmelized onions and roasted butternut squash in the cheese sauce. Very tasty |
I like to add chopped jalapeno |
I keep thinking that one of these days I’ll try making mac & cheese by boiling the pasta in beer instead of water. Never get around to it though, anyone else ever tried this? |
A stick & 1/2 of butter? Makes my chest hurt just reading this. |

1 cup macaroni |
Thick cut uncured bacon is always a great addition to the dish. |
A little nutmeg in the cheese sauce is good |
