Russell and Fort Garry Sold

I was thinking that, in light of this information, the listing of Fort Garry on ratebeer should be changed to "Fort Garry Brewing Company" rather than the existing "Fort Garry/Two Rivers (Russell)." Russel is no longer the owner, and I don’t think Two Rivers really exists as anything other than a Fort Garry sub-brand. I’m sure only Manitobans will care about this :) Anyway, it probably should be changed. Who’s in charge of that?

I wish they’d say who the new Fort Garry owner is, though. I am not a fan of lack of transparency. Like, I have no idea who those guys are that bought Russell, but at least they’re not hiding something. That Fort Garry thing is just weird.

They just revealed the new Fort Garry owner. It’s a venture capital fund called "Golden Opportunities." Don’t know much about it other than that it’s not a brewery. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/business/golden-opportunity-for-brewer-401835185.html
