Until I hit 200, that is. I know, I’m a slow rater .
Any suggestions on what I should rate over the week? I was thinking of rating some styles I haven’t rated on the database before (i.e. Dubbel, Eisbock, Old Ale, etc.) What do you guys like to drink that I haven’t rated yet?

This one is available to you and interesting...plus it will cover an unrated style for you.

And same with this one which is a must try IMHO.

I’ve only had the St. Bernardus, but Lindemans makes a decent lambic. Julio’s it is!

I really wasn’t a fan of the Lindemans Faro... to sticky sweet for me but one glaring thing that is a cheap easy to acquire beer and is the epitome of American craft brews beginnings would be

California Common: Anchor Steam Beer

and based on the other unrated styles you have... your not a big fan of session beers? There are so many good pilsners out there that are reasonably priced... Pinkus Pilsner, Wurzburger, Victory Prima Pils.... also Strong Pale Lager/Imp Pils... gotta try Jacks Abby Hoponius Union if your shopping in MA !

Cheers

I love session beers, doesn’t mean I’ll rate everything, though.

And I agree about the Jack’s Abby Hop Uinion: I should definitely try that one out sometime soon. Drink local!

I cannot believe I have yet to rate a pilsener on the database. That’s pretty basic.

I was also looking into rating a sake or two, just to get the rating.

The faro is a sweet one...and not my favorite style. But enjoyable enough to tick an obscure style. Thats what i was going for there.

Yeah I agree... everything is worth trying, for sure. Im hoping to try a Faro from someone besides Lindemans before I write off the style as one Id no longer seek out but the ones from the big Lambic houses seem like very small runs !

Yeah I’ve never seen any others around here in PA. Love to try one or two more at least though.

From AdamJackson via beermail: "Didn’t like the Lindemans and wrote off the style. Had the Cantillon Faro in Brussels. I want a lot more of it." ISO!
