Update, new adress in the Arminius market halls, not too far from the old location. No food in the brewery itslf, but you can buy what you want from the market stalls and make your own lunch. Five minutes walk from the S-bahn. Inconvenient opening hours for a pub. Worth visiting for the beers, some of them availble for takeaway.

A bit tricky to get to until I realized it was actually more or less inside the S-bahn building. Get to Bellevue station and look underneath the railway. Good service, English speaking as well. Nice clean and warm interior, to the front outside was a bit much traffic, also fairly annoying with the constans rumble of the S-bahn, but still rather nice. On our visit quite a bit of wind, not much to do about that though. Amazing pils, though their experiment brews seems to be more fun than good. A must visit, if nothing else for their pils! They had three house beers on this day, also a few commercial macros on bottles. Nice to be able to purchase a sample tray first, then like we did have a full glass of the best one, which was undoubtedly the pils! I didn’t try the food, but ekstedt had the cheeze plate that looked good. If you get the book ’GBG Germany’ this is Berlin pub number 18, in Tiergarten, on page 449 (2006 edition).

Very nice but a bit odd place under a railway arc beneath the Berliner S-Bahn at the Bellevue station. Fast and friendly service, when asked about the beer we were told a lot about their brewing ideas, which is to have a pils available at all times (an exccellent ones) and to make experiment brews otherwise. Limited selection as all Berliner brewpubs, with only the home made draught beer and a few germans on bottle.

Very nice, if rather spartan, brewpub under the Bellevue S-bahn station, near Schloss Bellevue in central Berlin. The food is excellent, and seems to be mostly local. The beers are also very good, and they do a nice 3-beer sampler. The music is mostly jazz standards, there is cheap wifi, and the service is very good. pThey always brew the Bellevue Pilsener, but keep rotating the other two brews throughout the year. In addition, they have Weihenstephaner Weizen on tap (plus an alcohol-free) and two Neumarkter Lammsbräu beers. pVery nice place. Definitely coming back here.

One of my favorite brewpubs in Berlin. Remarkable food is rather unique for the region. They had only 4 beers when I was there, but despite the English hints, the pils was my favorite of the 10+ tried in the city. And it’s quite unusual to get brewpub ales over there. Pleasant location as well under the train station. This would be one of the first I visit again when back to Berlin.

Newly-established brewpub/restaurant under the railway arches, slightly upmarket without being pretentious. Food is excellent, watch the cook preparing it in the open-plan kitchen. Alongside the usual Pils & Hefeweizen they were offering a seasonal Bitter Ale which was pleasant enough if a little weak for my taste. Returned to check out their Stout, classic black body with a thin malt flavour. Even offered a free taster! UPDATE May 06: tried their most recent offering, Berliner Weisse (offered without syrup) and was not impressed - too sour and low alcohol made for a very odd brew (I know that’s what Weisse is, but the syrup usually disguises it). Pils was nothing to write home about, either. The brewing side of the operation is basically still a bit hit and miss. Still worth checking out, though.
